What fantastic service from Nissan especially the mechanic Neil. My vehicle had a knocking noise from the front right hand side of my vehicle. Neil worked on my car for 3 hours and eventually found a metal rod which I had put on the floor in the back of my car. It fell into the chassis causing the noise. It was my fault and despite the hours Nissan didnt charge me a cent. Wow what great service. I can highly recommend Nissan Tokai.

Both individuals made me feel like a VIP and being only 25 years of age with the baby face hard to come by lol.Today I took my vehicle in for a simple check of my indicator light and the service remains the same if not better than when I bought the vehicle a month ago lol.I cannot recommend the above deadly duo enough. I sent my car in to have the fuel injectors replaced last year...they moved my car when the fuel injectors were out and so my car caught on fire. I was then basically bullied into buying a car from them or they would not pay me the insurance money for my burned out car. I had to put the insurance money towards the purchase of the new car which was fine. All I asked for was a service plan on the new vehicle to be included...it wasnt. I called yesterday to get a quote for the service and they came back with a quote of R2844.58. This morning while dropping my car off for the service the service adviser tells me that I have a service plan - I was surprised and asked him with who the plan was, for how long it was and if I could renew it when it was over. The service consultant said it is with Fiat, I can renew it and it is valid until 2021, for my first three services. Of course I was very happy to hear this news. This service consultant just gave me a call to tell me that i dont have a service plan, it is just a warranty and i will have to pay for the service. Naturally I am upset, so I try and find out how it is possible that it changed from this morning until now. He then says he will make a plan to charge me a reduced rate, as if this will make me feel better. He has now come back with a reduced rate of R3800. How does he get that price if the quote is only R2800?I have been duped, taken advantage of and treated like I am an idiot by just about every person that works at this company.I used to love my Fiat 500, now I despise the day that I ever decided to get one simply because of the people that I have had to deal with over the last year and a bit.

I was warmly greeted (despite being too early) was offered coffee and informed I could wait whilst my vehicle was attended to. 2 Consultants saved the day for this organization. When I walked in a group was sitting and chatting not being very helpful. Then I was introduced to two consultants that basically saved the day for this organization. The one gave me a quote for my vehicle and thee other in the new car section by virtue of his product knowledge and superb customer service saved the day for their company. Well done guys. You have made me view your company product in a whole new way and maybe even persuaded me to consider buying one of your vehicles. Keep up the good work!

Took in my car for a simple oil change. Too much oil was put in which damaged the car. I was then condescendingly instructed: Everthing is fine. After the car almost broke down on my way home. The issue was eventually resolved but WS was very unresponsive and I had to hire a car over the festive season.

I bought my van from WS and took it back to WS for an oil change - because i had to for warranty purposes! 7 liters of oil at R 150 per liter for Magnatec 5W40 ... R 150 PER LITER. I queried this when I collected and was told that is our cost, Sir.The same oil is commercially available at R 395 for 5 liters so why do you feel its right to charge the consumer so much more?

It took Nissan 54 DAYS to fix our delivery van while under their warranty!During this time (26.7-17.9.19), we made more than 10 attempts to get assistance from Nissan in the following ways: Phone Calls to Nissan Customer care, E-mails to the Service Manager at the William Simpson workshop in Tokai and Facebook messenger complaints to Nissan. Despite all attempts, we did not get back our Nissan delivery van within a reasonable time nor did we receive an adequate curtesy vehicle.We want to save you loss of money and headache.Here is a detailed account of events:On 3rd July 2017, we purchased a brand new Nissan NV350 Delivery van from William Simpson Claremont along with a service plan and warranty.On 23rd July 2019, we reported a problem observed with this delivery van and were given a date to book it in (26th July 2019) to William Simpson Tokai Workshop.On 26th July 2019, we booked this vehicle in at William Simpson Workshop in Tokai for repairs.On 31st July, we contacted the Service Advisor at William Simpson Workshop Tokai asking for a courtesy vehicle since we were without our van for 6 days but were denied one.On 2nd August we sent an e-mail to a sales consultant at William Simpson Tokai informing him that since we did not know when to expect our vehicle back from repairs we do not intend to continue to purchase vehicles from them.On 2nd August the Service Manager at William Simpson Workshop Tokai responded to our e-mail saying the vehicle was at a gearbox specialist.8th August we contacted Nissan Customer Care directly to complain. We were informed that a case number exists but were still denied a courtesy vehicle.On 12th August we sent a complain on facebook after which a customer care consultant contacted us. However a courtesy vehicle was still denied.On the same day (12th August), the service advisor at William Simpson Workshop Tokai sent us an invoice for parts to be paid for which we paid within 24 hours and returned the proof of payment. However even after that a courtesy vehicle was denied us, much less an estimate of when we would get our vehicle back. Please note, this is our working vehicle and not having it for 17 days is a monetary loss to the company.On 21st August we finally were given a courtesy vehicle through Nissan Customer care. The courtesy vehicle given was a Nissan NP200 which has less than half the delivery capacity of our Nissan NV350.On 28th August we complained to Nissan South Africa on Facebook again making it known that operating without our Nissan NV350 van for delivery is a huge monetary loss to the company and we were incurring exorbitant delivery costs daily on courier services and extra trailer to maintain our deliveries to our local customers.On 17th September 2019 at 4:07pm we were notified that our vehicle was now ready for collection. Our driver collected it the next morning and found it extremely dirty inside and out. There were grease marks on the two front doors. It appeared like someone had eaten inside it as there were crumbs everywhere. The back of the van was full of sand. No attempt was made to clean it.

We have been dealing with William Simpson for at least 13 years. Ee have had nothing but excellent service. Malcolm in sales is very knowledgeable and not at all pushy. He is very obliging and is happy to come to you for a test drive. I previously had an XTrail which was the best vehicle I have ever driven. It never let me down in 9 years and the trade in on my next Nissan was brilliant. The service Manager, Neil and his team are always available. Today my battery was flat and they popped round and jump started it for me. When I took my vehicle to have the diagnostics reset later in the day my battery failed again. A new one was fitted while I waited. I highly recommend William Simpson, Tokai. I would only purchase a Nissan from them. Follow up is excellent. They also market several other top class vehicles.

Zero after sales serviceBakkie went in in January 2019. Before it went in I asked them to get the parts ordered to repair some things for me as last time the bakkie went in for a service they picked some things up that needed replacement that I wanted them to repair this time. I asked them 2 weeks ahead of time. After the service I fetched the bakkie and said they could not repair the things I asked for as they had no parts, I expressed that i did mention they must order the parts beforehand and that it is a major inconvenience bringing the car in again to fix those small things. I asked them to send me a quote again for other things they picked up eg. the front left window mechanism, the rattle from the engine, and then the backpanel light.It is 3 months later and after numerous emails to Jessica their service bookings clerk, I still dont have a quote or anything to go by to get the car repaired.Seems like there is a complete lack of customer liaison management in this branch. The most frustrating part is that the car is still under warranty and that the car cannot go to any other dealership without affecting the warranty, but the dealership that is suppose to fix things, offers no service.

Sent my car in for repairs like a month ago and where they got after a month was still sending quotes to the warrantee company, the problem is they only called the warrantee guys on the 28th of feb, which was 3 weeks since my bakkie went in for repairs, surely it couldnt have taken them 3 weeks for this, so the first time i called they said they waiting for the warrantee guys ( when in actual fact they did nothing at all) before I called the second time i called my warrantee people and asked them whats happening, they told me they were only contacted on the 28 of february, like 4 weeks later, yesterday i called my warrantee again before i called william simpson, what i got back was that they waiting on the quotes to be sent from nissan, so i call william simpson, i ask them whats happening and they tell me they sent through the quotes they waiting on feedback, bare in mind they told me this before i called my warrantee guys, once i told him i spoke to my warrantee people he changed his story and said he gave the quote to his colleague to send through, what pathetic service, and still being lied to on top of it buy your employees, i hope my bakkie comes back in one piece, because surely its most probably going to be another month till i get it back. once i get my vehicle back i will never bring my vehicle in ever again.

The Tokai branch quote a tow bar piece of metal at R 10800 ( I think its the last one open branch as all its others closed in Western Cape) and its incompetent de luxe!!! Nolin working there, but also other staff, should be dismissed!! Promising clients call back... Never happens, incorrect advice... They all have a max standard 6 degree.

Disgraceful experience at this so-called reputable dealership. Purchased a vehicle which broke down within the 6 Month Consumer Protection Act implied warranty.Everyone from the salesman Renny, used car manager Cecil , Dealer Principle Jarred and William Simpson himself refused to properly entertain my claim for reimbursement for the repair of the vehicle. It was, to my mind, a refusal to honour their obligations to repair the vehicle (in my case, pay for the repair of the vehicle) under the CPA.When I first claimed for the repair, they refused to pay stating that I did not take out an extended warranty. When I cited my rights under the CPA, they declined once again saying that it is fair wear and tear. When I cited Motor Industry Ombudsman reports indicating that old age, mileage and wear and tear do not exclude a customers rights under the CPA, they ignored me.One of the most astounding reasons for rejection was that they were distrustful of a Toyota dealerships assessment of the damages to the vehicle. So much so that they sent an inspector from Toyota South Africa to inspect - they also disputed that assessment of the vehicle.Of a total repair bill of nearly R9000 for a broken water pump and alternator that left me stranded in the middle of the road, they tendered about R2500 towards water pump only.They thought the alternator was not working for certain reasons (they assumed the V belt broke). Turns out those reasons were incorrect (the V belt did not break) so I repaired the alternator and claimed the cost from William Simpson.When I ask that they pay for the repair of just the alternator, they refused, instead offering to take the car back less a CPA usage charge (roughly R4 a kilometer over 11 000KM which amounts to about R40 000.00). They do this, I assume, so they can make money off the usage charge and then re-sell the perfectly repaired vehicle (which was repaired at my expense) for a profit.It would cost William Simpson about R3000.00 to return the vehicle for a refund (the vehicle is in a different city). They will not, however, fork out R3800.00 to pay me for the repair of the vehicle. This is truly baffling and speaks volumes about their attitude towards their customers and the law.When I inform them that its the CUSTOMERs choice under the s56 of the CPA as to whether they want to return the vehicle, replace the vehicle or request a repair of the vehicle, I am met with silence.I tried my hardest to resolve the issue with every high-ranking individual at the dealership, unfortunately they were uninterested and advised me to take a legal route, as they can afford good lawyers.Save your money and buy your used vehicles elsewhere.
