I am so disappointed in the terrible service I received from William Simpson earlier today. I dropped my jeep at the service centre at 7:30am for recalls on my jeep. I received a call at 1:30pm to say that my jeeps key does not work and that its parked outside. I was dealing with Gavin who clearly has an attitude problem and was telling me that you got the Jeep here so you key must have ben working. He tells me he will call me back. I then do not hear nothing back from them until I call them again at 4:30pm only for Gavin to once again say sorry your key does not work and its parked outside what can he do? He tells me then he will get the manager to call me back. I have not received a call back from the manager and when asking if I can speak to someone else the receptionist tells me that they management are all in a meeting. WORST SERVICE EVER. You do not deserve 1 star. I have no vehicle and no once has called me back to find a solution and this is after my vehicle has been with them for 10 hours.

Half the staff were in quarantine, everything took abit long so its difficult to judge their actual capabilities. Hat off to the staff that were there they really did their best to ensure things went as smoothly as possible. Very dedicated people who work here. The showroom itself is top notch, nice waiting area, clean ablution facilities and refreshments are available. Will be returning for my next service.

I have had the most shocking experience with William Simpson Alfa romeo today. We recently found out that the Alfa Romeo giulia veloce is in SA. My dad and I are really big fans of Alfa so we decided to give William Simpson a call and see if we can book a test drive because they are our closets Alfa delership. 1st of all when I phoned ,their number goes to voice mail. Then I phoned William Simpson Nissan and they answered in less than a second, I told them to ask Alfa to call me, so they did that and they phoned me back. I asked the guy if the car is available to test drive, he tells me, sorry we dont have it on out showroom. I said ok would u be able to get one for me to test drive because I might be a possible buyer, he says no he wont I must try Rola motors. Thats so pathetic of them because before I phoned them I phoned Rola and on their side they already sold all the veloces that they had on their showroom and are waiting for more. He tells me they struggling to get the car from italy and that his sorry but cant do anything about it. The worst part is that as an Alfa Romeo salesman he never even know what Alfa I was talking about, he never knew the difference between the giulia veloce and the guilietta veloce. I will never ever buy a car from William Simpson because this is what services you will get, Im absolutely disgusted by them. I drive a golf R and was willing to buy an Alfa and sell my R but I guess Ill keep on buying VW coz they give perfect service compared to William Simpson. William Simpson have no interest in Alfa romeo and have no passion for it anymore. The other Alfa delerships are awesome but for a delership thats close to me and sells alfas they are pathetic. This is why Alfa wont do well here in SA, because of people that dont care for the brand anymore.Note this conversation was between my dad and the salesman.

Shocking And Disappointing Service From Jeep All RoundIn December / January we took our Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 to the Kgalagadi, we bought it new under a year before and it had done under 11 000 km before this trip. The area had a lot of rain and the roads were gravel with water and corrugations from the water and wear and tear.During the trip the bolts holding the engine cover vibrated loose and several came out completely. The mechanic at Tweeriveren removed the cover and the remaining bolt and we kept it in the boot. He was not able to reaffix the cover as most of the bolts were missing. We were in Mate Mata at the time and had to drive all the way down to Tweeriveren to attend to this, very inconvenient. This is about 150km one way!Just before this the rear LHS taillight popped off as the plastic clip on it’s RHS broke due to presumably the rattling or the pressure from the water as we passed through the large puddles on the road. We taped this light back on the outside with double sided tape so that it could be functional.We must also state that we travelled on the roads and that this trip did not involve any extreme 4x4ing just mild offroad.Upon our return we took the vehicle to William Simpson in Tokai for a service and to report and have the above fixed. As the vehicle has a full motor plan and a warrantee all should have been good.The service we received from William Simpson was absolutely shocking and we reported this and it was dealt with. When we collected our vehicle we were told that the above two malfunctions were not covered by the Jeep factory, nor the motor plan and warrantee! What a shock.We spoke to the manager of the branch who said that she understood our frustration and would take it up with Jeep. This was done and their reply was a vehement no and they would not cover this. I thought that this was absurd, petty and very offhand and called Jeep myself. The lady dealing with this, Lebo listened to my complaint and said that she would take this up with management and would call the dealer and myself. She never did call me. I called her a few days later only to be told that this was definitely not covered and I would have to pay for it.Not satisfied I called Cargo motors from whom I bought the vehicle and got no response to my complaint, which was strange as their service always was excellent during my dealings with them. Presumably they had no joy with Jeep either.Accordingly, my only option now is to explain this and review Jeep SA like this.Buying a million rand new 4x4 vehicle that is specifically designed and manufactured to be able to easily handle the Kgalagadi roads and when the vehicle experiences abnormal vehicle malfunctions we find out that Jeep simply washes their hands off this and states that the warrantee and the maintenance plan does not cover this!!!!Heaven help us the next time we are in the Kgalagadi and the major engine bolts and other important bolts rattle loose and our engine or undercarriage simply falls out what will then happen?Whilst we do understand that whilst bolts and lights should not rattle out, this can happen and that is what a warrantee and a motor plan is for.We are appalled by this and despite this being our third Jeep we shall never buy another one nor recommend a Jeep to anyone. We are considering replacing this with a Land Rover as we have booked two further trips to the Kgalagadi this year and can not risk something more major happening due to manufacturing defects.This is an absolute disgrace especially when one considers that the claim is just over R2 000 including an absurd R800 to unclip the light, plug the cable in and push it back into the body!!!Jeep SA really does not care about their image and brand in SA and we shall accordingly, also report this to Jeep’s head office in America as they do care about their brand, image and customer satisfaction.

A week or so later it came on again and I tried calling the dealer to enquire whether I could bring the vehicle in again.3. The receptionist on duty, NOT LIBBY! refused to transfer me.to the service agent Gavin or the workshop manager Shannon.4. I left my number and they have not returned my call.5. I had to ask someone that was in the area to go to the service manager and call me when he has managed to get hold of him.?This is bad service guys

Ive only done service on William Simpson, and it is as simple as it can be. Book online, theyll call you to schedule a date and time, leave the car, they call you later on to explain the services and give you a quotation and you fetch the car later on the day. No worries, no surprises and very good attention to details.

Under Service Contract, so have to use them. They try hard, but always something wrong after a service.Did wheel balancing - started wobbling at 80kmph after collection.Replaced globe, but was not fitted probably in socket - pointing in wrong direction.Forgot to stamp service book.Start-stop worked for 1 trip only...The next service center from my work is further away - WSJ is 50km away. Taking it back is more of an inconvenience for me than them... goodluck...

There is NO service!!! So I cant even post a service rating.Best is to fix yourself via YouTube - this will ensure something is done. I have replaced my rear axle shaft that way!Staff and workshop do not have the skills - and this info has to be forwarded to Jeep in the US to get new skilled and competent agents.

And now the service consultant Garth is extremely late. Really not great since the dealership in Century City closed down.Needless to say I will be changing brands at the end of the year.UPDATE:Changed to Audi! Im extremely disappointed. Over the years I bought 4 motor cars from William Simpson for the simple reason that I always got the best of service, however after reading some of the reviews I realize that it is not the case any more. More than two months ago I went to the dealership inquiring the cost of a 120 000 km service for my Alfa Julietta and was surprised that the lady informed me that she will get a quotation from the service department and e-mail it to me the same day. First of all I was surprised that I had to get a quotation because previously they could tell me strait away how much such a service would cost off cause sometimes there can be hidden costs but that can only be determined once they have the car and looked at it. Never the less Im still waiting for my quotation. I sincerely hope that they will jack up their service to where it used to be otherwise I will just have to find another Alfa dealer.

Undoubtably the worst service and excuses ever.1. They took my wifes car to check a few things. its under extended warrantee and they charged her.2. The driver apparently left at 13.40 to fetch her. its maybe 8km drive and 2 hours later he still wasnt there so I went to fetch her myself. He said he was stuck in traffic. It took me under 11 minutes, I took a screenshot (and drove the same road) proving there was no traffic.3. They left dealing with this till 17.40 and basically said. come and fetch your car or well drop off when we have time tomorrow morning. My wife leaves for work at 7.45am4. The previous time it went for a service (I was away) the battery died, they told her drive it there. Leaving my wife and daughter stranded........ it was so bad I called them from Kinshasa. Only then did they deal with it5. When I called Jackie (apparently the manageress) she quickly pawned me off to Leon without explaining anything so I had to explain again. He did thankfully call back with the drivers comments that hes stuck in traffic. again I refer to the map screenshotThey dont deserve 1 star.

My sister and I took her Jeep for a service last week and we pointed out that the car might have an issue with the battery as it had refused to start about a week earlier and a kind young man jump started the car for us. 6 days after the service, the car has refused to start. We called twice yesterday and were told to leave a message. No one bothered to call back. We have called twice this morning and no one has called back We have tried the manager, still no luck. Bad and expensive repairs with poor workmanship. Our fiat couldnt start and they had it at the workshop for almost 2 months (after numerous calls as neithrr myself or my husband was in Cape Town) and we paid R15k for it in Dec 2018. Now most of the panels are loose and dashboard functionality lights go on. Covers at the dashboard and steering wheel are loose. I had to take it to fix the lighter (so that my mobile can charge) and mechanic found loose wires beneath the covers of gears. I now need to pay again for proper fitment of wires.

Pathetic service due to horrible communication and miscommunication from the person I booked the car in, not at ALL friendly or enthusiastic about helping a client. Sent through a quote for me to pay when it is a warranty claim without checking if it is before hand, so I would have paid for something that qualify as n warranty part, pathetic that a client should tell them how to do their jobs. If you have a fiat, I advise you look for a different place to service your car.

Astonishingly bad experience having issues with my Jeep fixed while still under warranty. Its been over a week and they still cant tell me exactly what the issue is or how long it might take to fix. After sales care is clearly not a priority for Jeep. It also might take weeks to get parts, leaving me without a car for more than a month. The communication has also been really poor. My contact is rarely available when I call, and phoned me back once (when I wasnt available) and didnt bother again.

Worst experience ever at this dealership. I booked my Jeep in to have the electric window fixed as some clip had broken and the window no longer works (we had previously taken the car to the Century City branch before they had closed and they had confirmed that the repair would be covered by the warranty). Through the course of the day, the servicing team had not contacted me at all about the state of the repair, and when my husband went to collect the car he was told that they refuse to order to the part without payment from us, as they are of the opinion that the damage was as result of negligence and not wear and tear (I mean, how does one negligently use an electric window) and therefore not covered by the warranty. My husband then formally disputed their claims of negligence, as there were no such allegations at the previous dealership we had taken the car to. They had advised that they would contact Jeep directly and submit the photos for review and provide us with feedback on the outcome. This was a week ago, and I have still not heard anything. A serious lack of customer service. I would rather go to the Jeep dealership in Somerset West even though its further for me, than go back to this terrible place.

Let me explain. I called the dealer to book a service for my Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV, the dealer asked me for the vin number of the vehicle and so I gave it to them, I also included that this is a standard service given what the service manual says at the amount of km the vehicle is on. Now they told me this service is estemated at R4000 if no other problems is found. The next morning I drove to the dealer and droped the car off after consulting the service manager. The service manager then told me the service will amount to roughly R6000, not even adding anything extra from the initial phone conversation, I said ok and left the dealer. After 4 hours the service manager called me and told me that the oil they need to use is very expensive but it is the spec from Alfa and the vehicle needs it to avoid turbo damage, the oil alone will cost roughly R3000. I said ok because what can I do, replacing a turbo is alot more expensive than expensive oil. Long story short I went back to collect the vehicle with a bill of R9800 waiting for me with nothing extra that was broken(This was basically oil, all filters and spark plugs) Just a basic engine service. I asked for an extention on the payment and they simply just said no they will not release the vehicle if the full amount is not paid. Now if you dont plan for something like this in the middel of the month things tend to be a bit difficult. Anyway I paid the full amount walked to my car and they didnt even clean it properly. Will not service my car here again, this is unexceptable and unprofessional.

I saw a vehicle on their showroom floor one day and decided to buy it and sat with their finance guy with paperwork and everything. The next day I enquired on the progress and they told me that as I walked out, someone else walked in with cash in his hand and bought the car.I might be stupid but:1. They accepted cash? Did they put it in their till?2. Who buys a car with a couple of hundred thousand in cash? In this day and age? Was the money in his pocket? How long did they all stay that night to finish counting it all?After Alfa Romeo sent out a buletin indicating that specific oil be used to service certain engines (TBI, 3.2 JTS and Multi Air specifically being mentioned) this place refused to service my car using this oil and told me they were going to use castrol and that I could not even buy my own Selenia oil and supply it for them to use to service my vehicle. I then had my car serviced at the other Alfa dealership next to the N1 and they happily complied.I brought my 159ti V6 in with a noisy steering pump. They said they all do that and then tried to sell me red fluid to top it up. The car uses green fluid and I had to show them the manual that states the fluid spec (The older cars used the red fluid, which was incompatible with the new system).When I took my car to the dealership along the N1, they immidiately condemned the steering pump and wouldnt even let me drive home. They had to replace ASAP because it could fail at any moment causing loss of control and possibly an accident. They car is under warranty. Why would they not want to replace the pump?No I will never visit this place again. Ever. If I could post this review with zero stars, I would.
