After having many cars over my lifetime so far I decided to have a look at Haval to see what they were offering. Very surprised by the cars themselves which are exceptional value and full of tech. Waldo at the dealership was very helpful and guided us through the process which had a few bumps along the way due to stock issues caused by covid impacts on shipping. But we got there in the end. And only had to sign 2 pieces of paper. The rest was all digital signing including online FICA making that part a rather pleasant experience and fewer cut down trees... (Offsetting the vehicle carbon footprint....)

No customer service once they sell you a vehicle. From my personal experience I am the one who has to keep following up. Famous last words with the incompetent staff, Ill get back to you... they never do until I call them myself. You can wait for months untill you call them again. I just think its good curtesy to get back to someone especially when you promise to get back to them.

Had my 45k service done and all is great. I asked for my engine to be cleaned as it was dusty and although its not part of what they as a norm.. They really went out their way to clean it.. Well done guys.... HOWEVER what Im NOT HAPPY about is that from the first day I got my car I have been complaining about the horrific whistling sound the Roof racks make. And have mentioned it to the sales lady right through to the service section and nobody wants to own this problem. I specifically ordered the roof racks from Suzuki and paid dearly for them, because then I know they have been tried and tested on my Ignus with no issues.. But this is not the case... I HAVE Mentioned in numerous occasions that if there is no resolve then I woukd want my money back and I will go and purchase ones that do not make a high pitched sound.. It is so bad that I have clients wanting to hang up when Im on the carkit as its very off putting... Please advise.. As Im still waiting for somebody to own this and resolve... I used to be a huge fan and a great ambassador for these cars... But slowly getting a terrible bad taste in my mouth over this...

Firstly I would like to say the actual purchase of our Suzuki Jimny has been good and we are very happy with it. However the journey to getting our Jimney has been less pleasant.We first booked a test drive in a Jimny at the Table View Thorp dealership on the 16th December 2020 at 09:00. We arrived at the showroom at the appointed time for our test drive only to be told oh we have not got you booked, I cant find it on my computer or diary please wait one moment and I will check to see if the test car is in use. The sales person came back and said I am so sorry but unfortunately my sales manager is Covid compromised and must and is using the test Jimny as an outside office because she has to self isolateWe were not impressed with this but decided to make a new appointment on the 4th of January 2021 at 09:00.The test drive went ahead as planned and we liked the car and decided to purchase one. The sales person said we actually have a white one available on the floor as the previous sale had fallen through on this vehicle. I asked for a quote which the sales person promptly gave to me with a base price of R310,347.83 for the 1.5GLX AT.I returned to the showroom on Thursday the 7th to begin the paperwork and payment arrangements when the sales person said that there was a slight problem with the quote you received on the 4th. The sales person said the price on the original quote was the old base price because the vehicle that we had chosen was still off stock and reflected the old price and the new base price was R318,174.00.I told the sales person I am sorry I am not prepared to accept this price as I was given the old price in good faith and decided to cancel the purchase. I was really annoyed as we had liked the car a lot.Later on the 7th the sales person phoned me back and said it is our mistake and the original price stands. I said thank you and proceeded to pay the holding deposit until a delivery date could be arranged. In the interim I went through the vehicle sales contract and noticed that paragraph 31 is incomplete so I asked the salesperson to please send me the complete contract. To this date I still have not received it. The delivery date was set for the 21st of January. On this day I arrived at the showroom at 12:00 and was promptly taken through the vehicle and all its functions. the sales person was very efficient in the detailed explanation of all the functions. Then just before I actually took delivery of the vehicle the sales person pointed out to me some minor damage that had occurred at some point whilst in the showroom. The damage was most certainly not there on the day I viewed the car on the 4th. The damage consisted of multiple deep scratches on the drivers side sill and plastic sill coaming. I was really annoyed about this as this had to have been done by some careless worker possibly dropping a tool whilst fitting my extras. The salesperson then said I will arrange for the damage to be repaired and will call you next week to arrange it. Well I am still waiting for the call to repair my car. On the 5th of February I went to the parts department at Table View Suzuki to purchase a set of mud flaps for my Jimny and whilst there the sales person did approach me and said sorry for the delay in contacting you and I will phone you next week. Sorry Thorp Suzuki thats just not good enough given the events leading up to this. My last comment is Thorp Suzuki are selling a really good product in this price bracket. its a pity you cant match it on the sales side.

The staff and service at Thorp Table View are wonderful. The experience is great.

First impressions was not good. At the parking outside alot of pop rivets cutoffs was laying all over the cliets parking area that could cause damage to tyres. The sales lady took this with an easy excuse and did not even bother to instruct someone to inspect this. I had to actualy climb underneath my parked car to make sure some of these cutoffs was not stuck under my tyres. The best was still to come when receiving a new car that looked like a second hand used car with a dirty enjin and cleary a hurried sale. Please open the bonnet when getting a new car from this branch. Sales person was rude afterwards and took the clients opinion not serious and rather as a joke.

The dealership is bit far from where I stay or work but due to the reasonable prices both for service and parts compared to some I have been to before, I would rather take the longer drive. During the day of the service I got a call that the car is finished even before I expected and the car was cleaned, even though thoug there is a notice the cars are no longer washed

I bought a “brand new” Suzuki Swift from Thope Suzuki Tableview last year August. There were a few snags with the car (wind noise from door window, noisy brakes), but I thought I would be patient and deal with the issues until I took the car in for its first service. On the 24th July, I took leave from work, and asked a friend to do the same in order to fetch me after dropping off the car at Thorp Suzuki Tableview (It’s a long distance from Plumstead to Tableview). When dropping the car off, I requested that they have a look at the issues. The brake noise was in fact worse after collecting the car again, seems as all they did was tighten the handbrake cable to the point where I did not even have to apply brakes for the sound to be heard, the car was sluggish and felt like it was carrying a big load and being weighed down. They also did not have stock of replacement door rubbers for the window wind noise, So I had to make another appointment for them to fix the issues once they received the ordered parts required. Yesterday, I had to take leave again, and dropped the car off before 09:00. When I arrived, there was no one sanitizing customers or taking temperature. I also had to open the large sliding door myself to drive into the building. After spending 4 hours wandering around without a car in tableview, I went to the dealership to check up on the progress, only to hear they were still busy (took longer than the actual service). I waited in the dealership, and 80% of the staff were walking around without any sort of face masks, and did not see anyone sanitize their hands even once. After waiting another hour or so, I walked to the workshop, only to see my car standing alone, with no one working on it. I enquired why i’m waiting, as no one was working on my car. Then they said they are waiting on another part (The only reason why I was there was because they said they had ordered the parts and they had arrived). An entire day wasted, no one updating me with the progress. After getting impatient, I asked to speak to a manager. They have no manager at the branch to complain to. The receptionist gave me a number for someone in another branch who I called. All of a sudden, they started running around and actually working to get the car done. I left at 16:00 with a car that is still noisy as they could not fix the issue. I bought a “brand new” car to avoid these kinds of issues, have a maintenance plan and extended warranty to avoid these types of problems. My “brand new” car sounds as if it’s an old second hand car. This is exactly why I forked out R100 000 deposit, and paying off the car monthly, for a “new car”, only now to be disappointed, as I could have spent less on a second hand car which would actually be in better condition. This is utterly unacceptable, and I rue the day I decided to “join the Suzuki family” and chose to buy new. I wish I got given what I paid for and what is owed to me. Absolute waste of time, money and energy.

Highly recommend Bruce Singers at Thorp - Tableview. Marvelous service! Quick response, thorough answers, efficient and extremely friendly.I responded to an ad in the morning. I then received a phone call within an hour. Bruce answered all my questions (including quite a few questions about the previous owner - he actually found out and phoned me back with answers.) We arranged a test drive on the same day. He brought the car to me (all the way in Durbanville) during my lunch. After the drive I already made up my mind to purchase. He sent all the documents as soon as he got back to office. His communication was phenomenal.Thorp serviced, valeted and registered the car within two days. I went to collect my new car only two days after test driving!

I can undoubtedly say that this is the best service we have ever received from any dealership. Magda was absolutely amazing! She is so patient, kind and knowledgeable and there was none of the pushiness often experienced with other dealers. Sue was also fantastic when assisting with all the paperwork.
