My iphone 12 got stolen at your cafe on Saturday night, along with another girl that i had only just met. Who knows how many other phones were taken.As soon as I approached the bouncers about it, they ignored the situation and said they couldnt do anything about it. How are people meant to feel safe and secure at your cafe/bar, if they cannot even have management be approached in such a situation?I no longer feel safe at your bar and I dont recommend anyone go there. @arcadecafe

Good service we received. Love their pizzas. Had the Blue Ivy and Soho: my preference being the former. Also they make great coffee. The Caffè Latte was amazing. Would love to here more of my preferred style of music but hey, its all good nonetheless.

Arcade has become a Cape Town staple. During the day it is a great lunch spot and for drinks with friends. At night it transforms into a party hot-spot.There are daily specials for lunch, and all the food has been great. Be sure to ask the waiters if there is anything available off-menu.Just go there, period.

The place is easily accessible clean and compliant with covid-19 regulations.

This place disgust me.We were out last night, trying to celebrate one of my friends, as it is her birthday. We were literally queuing outside the place, and because we were of colour we were not allowed in. They kept telling us the place is full & that they were gonna close within 15mins, but the time I stood there they allowed 17 white woman in. (I dont indulge in alcohol so I was able to count)I had no idea that we still segregated in this time, my first time ever experiencing something like this. I will not recommend this place, if you are white and racist, this place is for you. 👌👆#Racist.

Daughters cell phone lifted as well as her friends on Saturday night...approached bouncers to report to management...just shrugged their shoulders...leads me to believe that this probably happens most nights ..smacks of a racket ?...your establishment is not a safe area for young adults...but u probably dance to the tune of security...that we read about in Central Cape Town...heads up to all..

If good food is what youre looking for, so this place at night is not the best. Go somewhere else. But, if you just want a drink, some good loud music and some space to move your body, then yes.

Went here with a couple of friends on a Friday night. We had an absolute blast. Was a great place to just drink,dance and let off some steam. Would recommend if you looking for a bigish night out. Pizza was pretty good too

Incredible food. Stunning cocktails. Restaurant/ bar gets busier as the night goes on and the dance floor starts , full of beautiful people ! Great staff and perfect service. Good place to go to meet new people day or night.It is open from 11:30 Tuesday to Saturday - also the perfect place to stop for lunch if you are in the city.

Came here for my birthday and I enjoyed it however, we booked a table and as soon as we were seated the waiter already put someone elses name on our table which we did not like. The food was good, as well as the music, theyre a bit pricey but not too hectic

Arcade is a must for a young, social person to visit when they come to Cape Town. They play very cool music on Fridays and Saturdays and you can order food such as pizza and burgers and drinks. It gets very full on weekends but is such a great place to have a dance or even just have drinks with friends. It is also great on First Thursdays! Can highly recommend Arcade.

This bar packs out with dancing and cocktails. Good food as well. Make sure to get there early as the queue could take a while unless youre in the know. They have great cocktails as well. Make sure to look out for Greg behind the bar who always has a big smile on his face

I went to this club with a group of (male) friends. I was the only black person in the group. The bouncers on duty requested that I show ID. None of the other guys in my group were requested to show their ID. My (non-black) friends were then let in while I was questioned about who I was coming to join at the club. This was an odd question as I was traveling with my group of friends, I was not there to meet people who were already inside.Eventually, I was let in to join my friends who had been inside for at least 5min despite the fact that we had been standing together as a group in the queue.PS: I’m 28 year old South African with a full, thick beard. The last time I was asked for ID at a club was about 7 years ago.

Average club at best. They let in a lot of underage people (usually only if theyre girls). The security and bouncers dont treat everyone fairly so good luck getting in if they have a line. Music is decent

ATTN NON SOUTH AFRICANS. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.This bar has a great reputation locally and plays great music, but if you’re not traveling with 10 pretty white girls, the racist bouncers will not let you in. The underage girls will get in ahead of you and the average age is about 16.5 which the bouncers let in readily.I had high hopes when I came here for my only Saturday in Cape Town and waited in line sadly for 25 minutes before being told that they were at capacity and watching other groups be let in before us.That said, please enjoy your time at other local bars that we tried like Station, Cocktail Imporium or the other great local bars. Better service and better experience while not wasting your time.

Bad service.Bad drinks.The worst thing that happened was that after 10 minutes the waitress put a reserved sign on the table and said the table is reserved right away. We actually intended to stay and dine a little longer, but then we lost our appetite! It was really bad! Not recommended.

Wow. A busy spot. Dont join your group late, the bouncers/managers will make you wait for an hour to join your people who are already inside. Once inside, try to get tall male humans to go to the bar. You will be ignored if youre not 1. A man. 2. A white man. 3. A white woman. I said what I said.Drinks are expensive and not worth the wait. Space is limited and crowd, well... If UCT jock-bros and chardonnay poppies are your vibe, this one is for you!

Ive been to Arcade on several occasions and each one has been amazing! On a Saturday night the music was so good, the place was packed but managed to get a table. Didnt want to stay seated as they opened up an area for people to enjoy the music properly. From what I saw, the pizzas looked delicious. Another occasion has been a late Friday afternoon, enjoyed some drinks sitting outside- there werent too many people yet but a lot of the tables had been booked for 7pm so I assume if youre planning on going around then a booking is essential. They service was quick and friendly and the overall vibe is more than enjoyable. Favourite drink spot in Cape Town!

WARNING: BARTENDERS TIP THEMSELVESLast Friday I was faced a rudeness and impolite behaviour Ive never experienced before. I ordered two drinks at the bar and wanted to pay by card. One of the bartender asked for a tip twice but I said just charge me the exact amount because the drinks there are overpriced already (2 Gin & Tonic 150R). Well, tbh it wasnt the first time someone asked me for a tip but what the bartender asked me then was unacceptable. He asked me what do you do for living and I said Im working. Then he said yeah Im working too so better tip me.Ive never seen anything so rude before in my life. The bartender definitely has the nose up and thinks he can talk to customers however he wants.The same night one of my friends ordered a few drinks too. This time, my friend tipped him 20R but then the guy asked for a higher tip. My friend paid by card and did not get a receipt but he checked is balance and saw the guy charged him way more than my friend wanted to pay.This place is a rip-off and its hard to beat this rudeness. The behaviour of the bartenders is unacceptable and non tolerated.Besides that the place is way too crowded and the music is only average. I feel forced to share my bad experiences with other people, such a place shouldnt be supported anymore. Management should definitely consider a employee turnover.

Best spot to be, especially in first Thursdays.DJ always has a variety of songs/themes playing to accommodate all listeners.Good and drinks are main, but after 10pm the dance floor never fails

Grungy interior is nicely done. Bar has a great range if whiskeys and the barmen are at the top of their game. Such a large entrance makes it very windy on a typical December-January day.

Ive heard good reviews about arcade so I went with high expectations. Expensive food and drinks music was not great. People asked DJ to change the music to dance music. He said he would at midnight only. After leaving at 1 I wasnt that impressed. I wont go again.

Cool looking place but thats about it. The places is overly crowded they should just tell people at a point to turn around and just keep walking. The DJ they had was horrible. Cant transition properly thinks hes performing at ultra or tomorrow land. Just fix the DJ and things will be alright

Unless youre under 21, good looking, well dressed, white, have at least double the amount of girls than boys with you, avoid this club... The bouncers will either make you wait or give you hassles. Ive watched this happen on many occasions. Its not worth your time. Dont contribute to a backward bar... Cape Town has more to offer

A nice place for a drink and a pre-joll or pre party booze fest. Not really my vibe, but I did like it a lot. Music very good and the people that come here are so beautiful I can hardly believe they exist. Wait staff are also great, friendly and beautiful.

If there was negative numbers I would award this club that.... absolutely ractist! This is 2018. After 24 years of democracy I would expect better. Shocking that this kind of segregation still exists. But... if you dont want non-whites to spend their money there, lets see how long your doors are open for....

Very busy to the point where there isn’t enough space to function given the square meterage. Noticed a disproportionate number of *ssholes which is to be expected given the quality female to male ratio enforced by the door.But overall music is good, pizza is good and vibe is busy. Just get there around 7/8pm to get a table and stool and move on to greener pastures before 11pm.

Waited at least 40 minutes tonight in a queue. And the queue only had Blacks and Asians and Coloureds like myself in.First we got told the club is full and we have to wait in a queue, while we were standing outside in the queue we could see the bouncers only letting several whites in on arrival. Its sad to say, but became obvious after they let at least 5 groups in without them waiting at all in the very long queue.Was really disappointed because my past experiences were good there.I really hope the management sorts there bouncers out, but it looks like nothing is being done because I read the other reviews and I am not the only person having an experience like this.So it must be management then!!!I left before even getting in. I advise avoiding Arcade. Overpriced and if it is packed they will only let you in according to ethnicity, which is unacceptable.-_-Also if you if you dont mind being an ignorant club goer who is white, 5/5 u will enjoy your time.

I have never been so ill treated or discriminated ever. I left Arcade to go with a friend to the shop and when coming back we were told to start a line the venue was full, the line started in a corner were not even the entrance security or anyone in the venue could see you. We stood in the line of which we were the only two people. The manager then let more than 20 other people in not telling any of them there is a line and when I questioned it, I was told Didnt I tell you to stand in the line. I felt really disrespected by this supposed management team.My Girlfriend and group of friends were inside and I had a full drink that I ordered just before i left which I couldnt even finish cause the manager decided it was in his right to treat me in the horrible manner that he did.I would recommend that, that guy needs to be taught people skills.

Racism at its Peak!!I Arrive at the cafe only to be told to wait in que on the basis that they are ‘full’. While Multiple white patrons walk freely into the cafe.The que of which only consisted of non white people. It seems as though they use the ‘que’ to get rid of certain people.This is a clear example of indirect discrimination.Judging from the reviews it seems as though this establishment has always gotten away this.Don’t support ‘backward’ establishments!

I have just seen the most ill behaved and disrespectful group of people from your establishment. The winery treated you and your staff and you chose to disrespect them by walking on tables, mixing their good wine and downing it and smoking In a public place filled with kids. They even Had the nerve to arrive drinking beers from elsewhere. Sad ! Hats off to the staff of the winery who despite this treated each member of your party with respect.

I also hate that they were selectively asking for IDs...that was annoying. The food menu is also very limiting. Not vegan, banting or keto friendly. BUT the music is a vibe.
