This store remains one of the most convenient once to visit. They stock a large variety of what you need and have a very friendly staff that assist you effenciently. Whenever you do go there do not forget to grab a Milktart Swiss Roll - its a must!

Wowser - lived quite close but never visited this store. Big mistake - one of the most awesome supermarkets I have seen. Wide aisles. Super clean. Some really fun and hard to find products available (spice selection is great!). Would recommend!

Edgemead Spar is my close to home convenient store, has everything I need. What makes the store awesome is the shops around it, Clicks, Woolworth, Crazy Store, the health shop, gift shops, pet store, etc. Its a little village with friendly people.

You need to talk to the buyers of your fruit and veg, I find the quality is not up to standards. Checkers have far better quality in this department.

I am a regular Spar client and it is one of the first shops I seek when entering a new town or suburb, but I am very disappointed in this particular Spar. It is expected that a Superspar will provide in all the services that the smaller Spar shops cannot, however, this Superspar DOES NOT make provision for cash withdrawals at their till points. The lady lady who tended to me could also not provide me with an answer when I asked what the reason was for them not being able to do give cash from till points... This does not live up to my expectations of a Superspar.

Miserable staff, even more miserable management, its almost as if they feel like theyre doing you a huge favour by even allowing you to shop there. Whenever possible I do my shopping at the smaller Bothasig Spar as theyre much more friendly there, however since theyre not a Superspar they dont carry the same range of specials.

They generally always have what Im looking for. Cashiers are always friendly. Their deli offerings are fantastic. And their bakery is first class. So many delicious cakes and desserts. Try the milk tart swiss roll, trust me.

As always, there isnt much to complain about this store. The service is good and the store is kept neat

Be warned if you happen to peruse the shop looking for interesting things (Which they are know for) the manager will stalk you as if you are a freaking shoplifter.... Even going so far as wispering stuff in the cashiers ear when you are paying. Next time have the freaking guts to approach me directly, I have nothing to hide!

Love this spar but Noone helps with the packing at the tills so you are there longer.

They were open at 8am which was great.But very disappointed at their staffs not wearing masks properly. Stop wearing masks underneath the nose when you are on the shop floor!!

Not very helpful at the Butcher. Asked if the fat can be trimmed on the Biltong Meat and was told they dont trim the fat..

Ive never had a bad experience at the Spar. The cashiers are always pleasant and friendly

It has a wide range of everything you need and a variety of brands and lines in every department, but unlike other Superspars really not much more than that to make it stand out over a regular Spar. Not a huge range of hot/cooked or heat and eat meals, nothing particularly out of the ordinary in the bakery or deli.But its clean and efficient, and youll be able to find almost anything youre looking for when youre there.

Lovely centre and has a little of everything

Bought a lamp pack from spar edgemead yesrerday. Very disappointed. More stewing meat in the lamb pack. It was nicely covered by the few chops so we couldnt see. Well done you caught me out.

I find the 3 male managers very unhelpful. They stand and watch customers pack groceries in trolleys if there is no supervisor available but wont come forward to ask if they can assist by e.g. picking up your bag of wood and placing it in ur trolley. Instead they stand and watch you whilst ur struggle. I have experienced this on two occasions

A larger Spar. Located in a pleasant smaller centre. Almost something for everyone. A great meat selection. A well supplied Deli with awesome hot and cold meals. The bakery is also worth a visit. Large selection. Always fresh.

Quick and easy access

Very close to home so this is where I go for the bread and milk run. Admittedly, I do end up buying more than just bread and milk. I like their meats too, which always looks fresh. Usually neat and tidy. They have weekly specials for Loyalty Card holders, which is most welcome. Like most grocery stores, youll always find something cheaper elsewhere, for the most part their pricing is always reasonable.

Living in Edgemead we are so fortunate to have such an amazing Spar so close by! For cheese cake lovers, Edgemead Spar Deli make the best baked cheesecake! We are regular patrons of the coffee shop where you get well priced good food.

Its got quite a big variety of items and clearly they have invested in the shop by changing the till layout. I have never been in a que for longer than 2 mins and that reflects the staffs ambition.

Situated in the Edgemead Shopping Centre in Edgemead this Spar sells a large variety of produce and a few one whole normally not find at the large popular retail stores. Type o flour and High Fat Milk are just two items rarely found in big retailers. The store is clean and the management is always available. If you looking for a cut of meat not on the shelves the butcher is more than willing to assist. Theres also a sushi bar and coffee shop situated inside the Spar.

One of the best shops in the area. Quality of meat products is amazing and well priced most times. Fresh produce could improve in quality. Great service from staff and an overall pleasant experience shopping here.

This is our local grocery store that we use regularly. We love the place and the staff. We get treated very well. Their products are good and when we have had issues with items purchased over the years they have been more than willing to replace.Their in-house restaurant / coffee shop is a great place for breakfasts, lunches, cakes, morning or afternoon tea and sushi and more.

Always a pleasure to shop there. They were kind enough to stock a product at my request. Very happy. My go to shop as they stock more than the regular Spars do.

I will now do my utmost NOT to shop at Edgemead Spar, not because I dont like their products, or the store itself, or the friendly vegetable counter men, or the Supervisor lady who obviously takes her job seriously, or the convenient opening hours, or the few check-out ladies who do greet and chat. It will be because time after time, month after month, despite phone calls to the store about this, the check-out staff do not have the basic training and courtesy to greet me (and look up at me)before checking my purchases. A simple hello Mam would change my whole experience of the store, simple as that premise is. The bottom line is that I (and all shoppers) are paying their salaries, and can as easily take our custom to nearby shops where the staff are trained to greet clients. This needs to be impressed upon them.I have now reached a tipping point, and will now only support you if I have no other choice.

I can understand why the staff here doesnt care about good service. They take the lead from the managers. Complaining to management falls on deaf ears. Why do I even bother. Think the best would be to go and spend my money somewhere else where they actually do care.

Not only is it conveniently situated, but I find the actual store to be clean and easily accessible. The staff are pleasant and helpful and it is a pleasure to shop there.

Edgemead Superspar has great products at good prices and good service. I like the 50% rye bread, the ready made food, and as I visit the store regularly I know where to find everything.
