The butcher whom I met at Cavinia Vleis this past Saturday afternoon, came out from behind the counter as he could sense I was perplexed as to all the variety of meats and asked if he could be of assistance. (I was purchasing meat for a Drainmen Services braai that afternoon) He listened to exactly what I wanted and immidiatley said that he could prepare a fresh parcel for me as to my requst and that it would only take 10min. He also asked me whether we were going to enjoy the meat that day OR keep for a future date, all credible questions as to understand how to preserve and pack the meat if necessary. He promptly appeared with my meat parcel 10min later as promised, vacuum packed and fresh, and gave me excellent, curteous service ! I thank him for this.At the check out, there was a friendly lady whos smile lightend up this Wintery day in Strand and was so pleasant - it really made an impression. Well done everyone there who made my day and took the time out to personally ensure that I was taken care of. I must say this happened on a Saturday and when the store was bustling. My experience has been generally when a store is so busy you merely become a number and not a customer of value - but this was not the case at Calvina Vleis. Please management, continue to train and compliment your staff on customer service - it will always be appreciated by customers, like me. Well done for the excellent service on such a particular busy day and I will be back in future !
