Friendly staff and good deals. We found the shop easy to navigate and spotted the paint we wanted, on special, as soon as we walked in the door. That was a bonus! There was also a good selection of colours to choose from and we were pleasantly surprised by this. I always enjoy shopping here.

Waking in should have turned me around a very upset lady was complaining bitterly about lack of service. After finally finding what I wanted to purchase I could not find prices for any of the options. I was shopping for safety shoes and trying to find the size and style I liked was a challenge to say the least. After locating a member of staff (a challenge in itself) I was informed its not their department and they would call the correct person. Said person arrived just over a minute later. Asking how he could help I asked for prices on three separate shoes he took one box and walked off saying he would find the price. I called him back to collect the others as I was in a rush. This and absolutely nothing offered or provided to allow you to comfortably try a shoe on, Im sure I entertained the other shoppers hoping around on one leg while trying to fit a shoe.I did find a well priced shoe off so far good quality

A conveniently located hardware store. Does not stock as great a variety as builders warehouses but good for picking up some diy essentials. As long as youre not in a rush, the service is a bit on the slow side.

Been mentioned before but lack of service is a problem. Too few staff and very difficult to get hold of the ones on duty. While I was waiting for someone to come and help me (after I had gone to reception and they made a PA announcement) I managed to get another hardware store on the phone and explain what I needed. Needless to say I then left and drove to the other store.

This place is really nice to chop at...you can practically get anything for building and much more...unbelievable great.

Staff wasnt very helpful but they do offer a wide variety of good products.

Always have what I am looking for and the gardening section is lovely. Patricia and Zola are the friendliest most helpful people to deal with too...

Store needs a little TLC, products often have no prices or the wrong prices and are often unorganised. They have a plants section but it is not well maintained.

The employees who were in the various departments were very knowledgeable about their department and that was great.

The store could do with a make over, inside. Store kinda look boring and not interesting enough when searching for different items. Even the workers on floor dont assist unless you ask for assistance. I could not even see enough signs of different products in store to make searching much easier.

Centrally located in the Northern part of Bellville, this is a builders heaven, or even just for your run of the mill DIY person. It pretty much has everything youd need to work on and improve your home.

I only go here for 2 reasons....the first that its close to home, the second for when I want to go to a place and not be bothered my the staff. The staff here dont care to help and are quite happy to ignore customers in the shop.

Dont expect to get any gas refils or swapouts if its not AFROX or self-bought bottles. You can also no buy any 9kg returnable bottles, you can only swap out. Yes, you need to swap out the bottle if you cant buy it.

Didnt want to return a BUILDERS BRANDED 4 LIGHT SWITCH FOR A 3 LIGHT SWITCH WHICH IS CHEAPER. Its builders branded!!! Its theirs but they did not want to return the unopened package. I do not recommend them

Builders is the Cadillac of hardware stores. You can find practically anything from the tiniest bolt, lock light or gadget to geysers, huge sheets of wood, paint, even acrylic art paint, a nursery and tools to any DIY project you can conceive of.Only thing that I find fairly often is discrepancies between the price marked on the shelf and the price at the cash desk. So keep your eyes wide open and check your cash slip.

If your own staff does not even know if you sell ovens and hobs, there is something not quite right there.

Popped in looking for torx screwdrivers which I got in a set in the shape of allan keys. Did the job so I am satisfied. Dropped a star cause nobody asked it they could help in the search for the tool.

Very talented and knowledgeable outdooors/gardening crew....the suggestion to add bonemeal to the soil before planting my herbs and veggies has produced such an amazingly prolific herb garden that has all my friends envious and in awe. My tomato plants already have 30 ripening tomatoes, unbelievable. Thank you for the good advice!!!

Non-existent customer service. I couldnt find anyone to assist me and had to leave the store and go elsewhere. Against my better judgement, I returned the next day, only to discover that the item their system says they have seven (7!) of has vanished, prompting a stock investigation. In all honesty, this outlet is an embarrassment to the Builders brand.

Great store with lots of stock, their website is also helpful for checking if products are available at the specific branch. Too little staff on hand (or they just dont want to help you) but I always struggle to find someone who can help me find something in the store

Did my pool water test at 4 on a Friday afternoon and got results and solutions within 10 minutes. The pool lady was so helpful. Well done!

Under no circumstances think of Fired Earth paint. It is not as good as they say it is. It took 4 coats to cover. Full of excuses and attitude.

This is the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. The 3rd time Ive experienced the same non existence service from floor staff. This time at the paint department, staff are constantly on their mobile phones even when you stand in front of them asking for assistance. I will NEVER waste my time again.

To little floor staff. Visited it a few times and especially on Saturdays it difficult to be helped.

I Bought hand tools with them online. Firstly it was clear that their was stock as per the website. After I paid it took them 3 days to let me know they dont have the item in stoke. They will let me know when. ZERO communication and they refuse to return your calls!I eventually went to the branch, sorry we are still awaiting stock. After that, they phoned me a week later to say, they dont know when they will get the item, its better if i take a refund and try to get it from game or makro. Okay so next time I would rather spend my money by Marko or Game.Bad communication, Bad service, shocking business ethics!

I would like to know how Builders security decides which customers items and slips to check. I was stopped at the door, slip checked and one customer walks right out. When i was done, 2 other customers come out, no slip and item check. Is it because these 3 customers are white and I was not? I honestly cannot see any other reason for this. Or do you check every 4 customers? I would really like to know

In a relatively big store there was not one staff member on the floor to assist. When I eventually found someone I could ask I was told that the only person working in that isle went to load a customers car. Asking at the front counter where there were about 7 staff members turned up nothing but blank stares. We left and received excellent service at the next place.

Not too busy, but no staff around to assist. The till assistants look like they should still be at home resting. Not interested at even calling the next client. Makes me wish for self help tills!!!

Never will be using Builders Express Willowbridge again!! I have gone there on many occasions, with all the experiences that I have had in the store the customer service is lacking, firstly much of their stock is dispersed all over the floor and not in order, secondly, trying to find someone to assist is like finding a needle in a haystack (very short of staff), thirdly, staff that are there are unwilling to help or playing on their phones. Today i went to purchase a 40cm desk fan, there was none on the shelf (manager didnt even know where it was) he asked another sales person to get from the back. He brought out one, the box was opened. He said all contents were inside, i purchased the fan but apon arriving home i realised the fan (plastic part) was broken. Now have to waste unnesssary fuel because of incompetence. This was truly the last straw... maybe this store should take note of the Mica that was previously there and why they closed down...

Got just about everything you need. Floor staff were a bit slow to approach. Good shopping experience altogether though.

Tested the remote service alarm in electrical department and it worked! Staff member there within a minute and I got served.
