I would like to compliment the staff of Build it Buitengracht street CapeTown for excellent service notably the sales and cashier team ably ledby Theo Daniels . i needed build material delivered in Camps bay . I ordered the material at 11.00 am and it was delivered 2 hours later without my requesting the urgency. I mentioned to Theo that i had labor working and he intuitively realised the urgency . Well done ! May many Build Its be opened all over. Thank you.

Simply stellar service from Theo, sales manager and just all round super guy. This is now my go-to hardware store and I doubt I will ever shop hardware anywhere else. Seriously recommended!!Right from the first call, through to the cashiers and even the lovely lady who took my temp at the entrance, I was made to feel welcome and valued, thank you to all.

I needed to buy a bolt and nut. They were selling the bolt individually, but the nuts came in packets of 10...crazy. so I didnt buy a nut. I now still have a problem as the bolt is not secured....frustrating actually

Bought 3 items, when checked invoice, not one item was invoiced according to displayed price. Guys check your invoices please, not sure if its dishonesty or poor management.

Like so many hardware stores these days especially the large chains they are filled with unskilled unenthusiastic staff who dont know the products. I have worked in sales in a small hardware store and the owner there taught us the meaning of good customer service. Actively find the customer and ask if there is anyway that you can assist. As apposed to playing hide and seek with the customers. The staff at builders warehouse are hide and seek champions, with build it city in a close second.

Hardware and building supply store in the heart of the Cape Town CBD. Large range of supplies, ranging from tools, building materials, paint and most of the things you could possibly need. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

Well located... With parking..

Small but had everything we needed and was assisted by super friendly staff.

Only use this store as an absolute must and mainly due to more available parking when you are in a rush. However, again this morning, insufficient tills, queue extremely long, manager oblivious to that, people waiting in the queue saying that in 15 minutes, they have moved forward one step. Normally I find only a percentage of the items on my list anyway, I am now done with this store,

Rarely has what you want

If youre looking for a hardware store that will never fail to NOT have what you need, staffed by people who you have to chase down for help, only to be told the wrong thing, look no further. Each time I am forced to go here for the sake of convenience I leave more disgruntled than the last. My latest visit, I wandered around for 15 mins trying to find someone to help identify the properties of a gas mask filter, as I needed it for spray painting. When I finally did find someone, who was on the phone and looked massively displeased to have to help a customer, they assured me that the filters I was looking at were rated for paint and gas vapors. I purchased them for a job, and guess what? They were useless against the vapors, which have now made me ill. Cheers.

They have a no bicycles sign in their parking lot. Why do they have problems with cyclists. I am a cyclist.

Theo Daniels very incompetent in responding to emails. Had me drive all the way to the store only to be told that they do not sell loose sand only bags.

This place my friend and I was quite appalled at the state of this store, since its a hardware store and they were out of stock of quite a few things. It looked like no one was interested in helping us with info on a toilet seat. No one was quite intetested to help to tell you the truth. COME ON BUILD IT YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER NEH!!!

Really poor service. When you call them they pick up the phone without answering and leave it on the desk.You can hear the counter conversation, but no one attempts to speak.Really poor client service. I understands shops get busy, but at least answer and say I will be with you shortlyHung on for 10 minutes listening to conversations.Builders Warehouse has much better service, but unfortunately Built It is closer to my home.

I did not find this branch very well organizedThey do not have willing friendly staff who are eager to attend to clients.The paint section I feel needs one more assistant.The management needs to train there cashiers to attend to returns in a way that customers do not have to wait over 20 min to be attended to.Although conviently situated in town I will not be buying from this store

This shop has all the building and related building equipment that you would require. I got pretty much everything I needed here. They are a little pricey, but not too bad

All staff helps you with a smile, they will go out their way to make sure you have the right product for the job.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Did not have trouble finding what i needed but the checkout process was terrible. This is the worst service I have experienced in a long time. Only one cashier where I had to wait way to long to pay for my small item. And then when I paid they didnt have change. Very very poor. Next time I will drive further out of Cape Town to a better hardware store.

Worst service, always out of stock, and the tills are frustratingly slow. Ive been buying for over a year, but only essential items. I will never be back.

Even though it is conveniently located in town the service is dismal. Staff is unfriendly and vey unhelpful. Their building material stock is stored in a different location from this shop. This depot however has no dedicated parking and is located a distance from the shop. So that is very inconvenient.

After failing to get what I needed at 2 larger, arguably more popular stores, in person and online, Aubrey from Built It went out of his way to make sure I got what I was looking for. 10/10 for Built It, 0 for M**** and B******* W********.

Build It is one of the worst spammers I have ever encountered. They dont offer an OPT-OUT option. Bloody irritating and will not buy from them.

Dosnt have stock of enything I required. Everty time I come here I have to hope and pray they have anything we require. I HATE coming here! Unfortunately they are the only big hardware store and I think its time Buildit starts to take pride in that and ensure they have sufficient stock on all items

Spent Saturday with Donovan - was told we will have our qoute later that day e-mailed. Nothing arrive first thing on Monday to find nothing was done. This is not service :-(

Cheaper pricing on most of their goods compared to other city hardware stores. Conveniently located. A bit unorganised. Till point slow & confusing & various building items needs to be collected at a different location around the corner. Very irratating & time consuming if you in a rush.
