In all the time that Tracey and I had been in and out of contact in regards to the gown I had chosen and making a plan to chose another then able to get the original gown back, she was always exceptionally kind and friendly.In the month leading up to my wedding day and making alterations on the gown I had hired (I could physically see) the attention and effort she went through to make sure my gown fitted perfectly. My journey with Tracey began as a recommendation from my cousin, who got married a few months prior. In Feb 2020 Tracey invited me for a fitting and after trying several dresses on, my mom spotted a gorgeous whimsical pink gown. We dubbed it the Cinderella gown because it had pricked all the other brides who tried it on, except me!Thanks to Covid, my wedding was postponed to 2021,Tracey was more than accommodating with my new DATE and fitting schedule.The team worked hard to make sure the dress fitted me perfectly, as I had actually lost alot of weight compared to the year before. Even the illusion matched my skin tone so perfectly.Everyone was in awe when I walked in, as they were not expecting a pink gown!Tracey also explained the price implications in detail if there were any rips or holes in the gown upon return. This I was happy with as it would come from the security deposit, but if it was worse then Id have to pay in the difference if applicable.There are very few places who cater for plus sized brides, let alone having a couture gown. Living in Centurion…Getting married in Harties…& Getting my wedding gown made in Cape Town, through Covid….And Tracey was up for the challenge!A friend recommended me to contact Tracey to assist me with my gown.All stressed up, ‘cause it was the end of October and my wedding is in February, I phoned her. She set up an appointment with me the very next day.My first choice was to design a dress and rent it. I showed my dress ideas to Tracey and the last one I showed her, she told me that’s the one! This one will fit you and your bushveld venue - And she was spot on! It was perfect!She went out of her way to make sure that I’m happy with the lace, material etc. She scheduled all the appointments according to when I would be in Cape Town.The last week in January the time and hours she put in to get my dress ready so that I can take it back with me was insane. She even showed me how to steam the creases out of my dress (due to the flight )Thank you, Tracey Bridal Gowns and team, for all the laughs and fun I experienced and for making my perfect gown in such a sort time! Oooh and don’t forget all the needle pinches LOLAt the end of the day, I bought my dress…I walk out of this experience, not just with a perfect gown and a very happy husband, but with a new friend.

As a non SA Citizen traveling from Walvis Bay Namibia to Cape town SA, already having so much difficulty in finding the right dress (as not always easy as I am a plus size), Traceys Bridals made al my worries a blast from the past. Due to unforeseen circumstances due to the Pandemic I could not travel out of my country to collect my dress myself, but was in regular contact with Tracey assuring me that I will get my dress in time. Being a plus bride is a reality for many women today. The bridal industry is filled with couture gowns and accessories for the “ideal” bride who is seen to be thin and at one’s “goal weight”. There is so much pressure to conform to what society expects. Even myself. As a girl I never envisioned myself as an overweight bride. But you know what…life happens, stress happens, medical conditions happen. And that’s okay.I met the love of my life at my heaviest and he accepted every single inch of me, my crazy personality and all the curves.I started panicking about finding my dream dress shortly after out engagement, as all I had seen online and at expo’s was “skinny” dresses. How would I be able to try on different styles and learn what suited me?? Until a friend tagged me in a post that Tracey had shared online.I scheduled an appointment and fell in-love with the second dress I tried on. Tears and all. We then began the process of making my dream dress inspired by the one I had fallen in love with. It was such an amazing process from fabric choosing to lace choices to matching my illusion and fabric perfectly to my skin tone. The end result was my perfect princess moment, I felt beautiful and everyone loved my gown. My husband couldn’t stop touching me and staring at me. I can def recommend Tracey and her team to any future brides, especially plus size.

Finding the right dress is not easy but when my paths crossed with Tracey it was a weight off my shoulders. She made me feel so comfortable and at easy, that my husband to be phoned to thank her. Together we created my Princess Wedding Dress. With Covid that has set us back, Tracey has been so understanding and accommodating by putting my mind at easy that we will finish my dress just before I get married to prevent unnecessary alterations. After a horrible dress fitting i found Tracey who was beyond fantastic.I told her i did not want a traditional white dress i wanted something fun and like me, she came out with a strapless pink and ivory dress with flowers on.From the minute i tried on that dress i knew this was my dress and i felt like a princess.Tracey was always so warm and accommodating and willing to work around my crazy working hours, she always went out of her way to assist me and advise me.She gave me a tutorial to show my bridesmaids how to tie up my dress and they got it right 1st time.Tracey is just fantastic and i will recommend all my friend to her.

Tracey was honestly one of the best parts of my wedding experience. From my initial fitting right to the end I knew my dress was going to be gorgeous! She guided me, listened to my ideas and made sure my dress was a true reflection of my personality and not just another copy and paste from a bridal shop. Absolutely loved working with Tracey, She was so patient with my body changing so often and when I was being a stressed out bride!
