Great experience. We did the short trip of 45 min to the seals. Great for smaller kids too. Best of all was the tame seal at the harbor. The kids could pet it! Fantastic!

Super clean boat with nice comfortable seats, inside and outside viewing area, very clean toilet on board, and bar area selling snacks and drinks. Delight for young and old. Great value at only R50 per child and R100 per adult. Super value family experience!

Takes you on a good cruise to see the seals, but it depends on the weather, it was too windy on the day we went so we just took a cruise to sea the seals near the docks and back.

The sunset cruise over the festive season was so romantic.

Not the cheapest charter here, but definitely worth the few Rand extra. The captain does an excellent job of making the trip unforgettable and is excellent atManouvering his boat around the Island for a close up experience with the seals. The boat gets disinfected after every trip. The staff is also very friendly.

Drumbeat Charters offer a wonderful experience to the Seal Island. Its my third time for seal sighting and Drumbeat Charters seems the best for me. They are just missing a glass-bottomed amenity. They provide introduction brief and cash bar.

Honest people. A nice boat ride to seal island. Reasonable price. The first day they wouldnt go for safety reasons. The sea was rough. The skipper was very responsible. The next day we went and it was a nice trip and he got as close as he could to the seals.

Had a truly good experience! What made it so nice was that the ocean was calm and you could see clearly to the bottom where the seals were cajoling. Our crew was very helpful and informative. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Hout Bay Harbor. Please put this on your list as one of your must do item. I promise you, you wont be sorry. Enjoy the views and take as many photos you possibly can.

My little sister (3) enjoyed her first trip on a boat immensely. Thank you. If you want to see the harbour for about 30 minutes I highly recommend using these charters... They are inexpensive, (R100 for adults) and give you a short history of the harbour.

Super experience for kids and adults! Seal Island was great!

Your average ship taking you to Seal Island outside Hout Bay harbour. Just a hour on sea. No public info, no historic info on trip. Just see the seals and back to the harbour to collect more passengers. No refreshments for sale on board. Just get people ad quick as possible on and off the ship.

The trip to seal island was great. On a calm, blue sky day - the ride out was not bumpy at all (which worried me a bit). The seals were great to see. The island is quite close by, takes maybe 10-15 minutes to get to, and you stay there for about 20 minutes. So it doesnt take too long. Id recommend this trip.

Drumbeat operates short cruises around Hout Bay every hour, from Hout Bay harbour. My son and I did a 45 minute cruise to visit the seal colony, it was enjoyable. We got very close to the seals and the rocks, but felt very safe.

Fantastic cruise with the family. The captain was amazing as were the crew. I have done many cruises in Hout Bay, but this was the first where there were as many crew ensuring the safety of the passengers... I highly recommend them.

Nice speed boat trip to the seal island. Good welcome after the trip by the drumers. Awesome climate. Glass bottom ship to see the marine ecosystems. Ticket price is cheap and worth it. Nice place to visit atleast once. Local road market nearby for the visitors there. Bargain properly if like some artifacts or show pieces.

We payed for an hour cruise , the vessel sailed 10 minutes late so we only had a 50 minute cruise . There was no face to face safety chat prior leaving . We did not know where to find a lifejacket let alone know how to don one . Otherwise a nice cruise on a well maintained vessel.

Great activity if you on tour of the peninsula in CapeTown. Situated in Hout Bay harbour.In season it is very busy so you might need to book. Out season its no problem.I recommend this activity.

A convenient and reasonably priced option to see the famous Hout Bay seal colony. The boat is spacious, with an inside and outside area. Make sure, you be there on time as the boat will not wait for late comers. If you late, you will have to take the next boat if there is space. There is plenty to see in the harbor. Stay away from those guys that feed the seals, if you come to close or photograph them without paying them money, they will harass you. Very pesky!

Took the family on a trip to seal island ,was very relaxing and enjoyable at the same time. My youngest daughter was feeling very well due to swells on the ocean side but their friendly staff onboard help to ease the situation by talking with her and getting to grips with the funny feelings... great team work will recommend them to anybody anytime...thamks guys
