I was traveling today and got my covid test day early yesterday morning. They assured me Id have the email of the results by 7pm I get to the airport and there was nothing made a few calls and it took way to long to get the certificate. I need a new flight altogether.

I had a really good experience with them,Today 17th oct 2021, my flight is, I requested them on Google chat to provide my PCR VIA EMAIL,and it was really a good response from them,And I got my report via email,I didnt have to go to the lab for collection of my result...Thanks a lot

Efficient service. You get your results very quickly only problem I had is that they dont submit to medical aid with urgency. I spent loads of money including funds from my day to day that could have come from a separate benefit had they submitted on time. If they had a backlog they should have given me the option to submit to the medical aid myself.

Very quick, friendly and professional service. Had my Covid rapid test results with in 15 minutes. So nice to be able to get a test done without previous doctor’s appointment, forms and long waiting times. A service like this should be accessible to the public all over Cape Town. Highly recommended.

Despite the fact that there was a queue of forty when I arrived for a Covid screening, the lab was efficient and I was out in 90 minutes. Giving out forms and processing payments while we waited was first class. Adele was particularly cheerful.

TYGERVALLEY RAPID TESTING - If Google allowed me zero star rating I would recommend that. Very quick to charge me and my fiancé R2000 for Covid tests and payment upfront. When I asked how will I receive proof of payment and invoice for the Medical Aid the lady informed me I will receive email before the end of the day. That was the last of that. I phoned and emailed them numerous times now - no response.STAY AWAY!!!

Despite providing results promptly following testing, as many other reviewers have noted, claiming back from them and getting the correct paperwork required by med aid is near impossible. I am now waiting 4 weeks and keep getting half hearted responses. Funny, you were more than happy to take our money upfront! Sort it out please. This is not the time to take peoples money and delay the claim process.

I recently went for a test. Everything went smoothly. The receptionist and nurse were lovely....however if you are needing your invoice to claim back from medical aid...you will be waiting a very long time.I went for a COVID-19 test almost 2 week ago, phoned twice about the invoice, and still havent received it. I understand that they are very busy but maybe consider giving paying clients their invoices as they pay, this will save everyone a lot of time and reduce the backlog???

Been to Hamadi few times, results are always ready within 24-36 hours. Was always happy with their service until today.Website and google hours say that clinic is open 24/7. I came on Sunday morning for urgent test and clinic was closed, no information on website about new working hours. There were few people outside hoping to get a test as well. Wasted few hours driving there and waiting for clinic to hopefully open. Very confusing.

Claremont Clinic in Cape Town: Weve been waiting 6 weeks for results of an C-19 antibody test. They said we would have them that evening. No response after several emails. Cant get through on the phone. No invoice sent as promised so cant claim from Medical Insurance. However, the 3 of us who went did receive our C-19 test results back within 24hours. That info was not uploaded to government app.This is why I have given only 2 stars. The lady on reception was over run but managed to still be very pleasant. The clinic was not being cleaned up after each person went in... the man who did my C-19 test seemed like a bit of space cadet, not really compos mentis, perhaps high. We then had to wait for a really long time for someone to come and take our blood for the antibody test even though there was no queue, meaning we had to wait in non-ventilated corridors for some time. It felt like that if you didnt have C-19 when you arrived, you may very well have got it by the time you left. Def wouldnt go back here again.

I visited the Claremont clinic. The lady who initially answered the phone was helpful and friendly. When I arrived at the clinic the staff were efficient and helpful and the process completed without a hitch. I received my results the next day via both SMS and email, and when I requested specific information about them I received an answer the next day. Impressed with their service, especially considering the volumes and stress these guys must be under! From what I’ve seen they’re a bit cheaper than the other labs too. Happy with the service I received.

Very busy due to number of people coming for testing but staff are friendly and efficient. There is a system in place that ensures testing is done as quickly as possible. If you are coming here bring an umbrella or sun hat and water. I had to wait an hour to get tested and most of the time was standing outside in the sun. Which wasnt too bad. Can definitely recommend this place to be tested.

Hamadi Labs was very effective and efficient in their services. The staff communicated all the time with regard to what was required I was in and out within an hour.Despite a very demanding crowd the Administration person Adele was pleasant, sanitising throughout the time I was there, answering queries and keeping the queue moving. Had my results within stipulated time frame. Great experience although one goes there for not so great reasons.

Very helpful as an 63 year old adult who lost part of his hearing and wasnt able to see on the application form .. they were very helpful to fill out the application for me.. Completed a test yesterday afternoon, Sunday at Hamadi in Claremont. It was not crowded, only 1 other person before me. It all took a couple of minutes with the paperwork. Received my result early this morning. Hamadi is on the Emirates list of labs for testing in South Africa, for those requiring PCR tests prior to travel. Highly recommended and they are open 24 hours everyday!!! Highly Recommended

Pathetic service from the Durban team. I have done a home testing with them on Tuesday. I was told that my result will be ready within 24hours. I have a flight to catch in the next few hours and I havent received my results. When I call the guy Leon he tells me my sample is with another person and not even in a lab. What kind of service is this!!!! Really disappointing!!! I will never use you guys again.

Very similar experience to the other reviewers - I was given no proof of payment, and have been emailing for two weeks to try and get an invoice from them. My positive results were also not shared with the National Department of Health, which meant that I was not able to alert the Covid Alert SA app of my status. I have tried calling, and it either goes unanswered or I am hung up on.

Horrible experience 😬 We had to wait for more than an hour for them to be opened, even though it says that they are open from 8 ,the door was opened only after 9.15 without any excuses.A lot of sick people were waiting under the sun to be tested😤And it is only one lady who is working there, doing everything. Ridiculous and absolutely unacceptable!!!After waiting for hours then we were told that there is no card machine.Really🥴We really wanted to leave and go somewhere else but because all cars were parked in a line ,we didnt have a chance to leave.And one more it says that it is drive through,BUT it is only for your car🙃,because to be tested you need to go inside the lab😑Logic🤬Why to advertise the things that you dont apply🤯

Testing experience itself (Claremont) is fine, but awful after that. My wife has been sent two results; one negative and one positive. If you phone, after waiting for a very long time, 50% chance they will hang up on you. So for us we continue to have to isolate with uncertainty. This is unacceptable quality for a service that can literally cost lives if not done perfectly.

We came for a PCR test, they opened about 45 minutes later than they said theyd be. Then we had to wait 30 mins for 14 people in front of us, which is pretty okay. The actual testing is done in like, 3 seconds so thats okay. 24 hours ago, but still no result at this moment. I think there could be a lot of improvement in the entire process, and maybe more employees at busy times like that.

The worst. I paid for my Covid test by debit card and they didn’t give me a reciept or anything for medical aid. They told me rather to call the following week to get one. I did so, but could not get through on the phone. Then I discovered Hamadi also billed my medical aid, who then also paid them directly. They were paid twice and can’t seem to give me an invoice that says paid so I can claim back from medical aid. Can’t get through to them on the phone and spent an hour there today trying to get it and countless hours on the phone. Still don’t have it.

My test result came positive when i wanted to travel out of the country, since then i have no symptoms. so i called the lady and asked if i tested again is there any chance of testing positive again after 14 days quarantine? she replied yes, there is how can that be possible, yall just giving positive for no reasons and claime with asymptomatic theories, test accuracy is bad.

I visited the Claremont lab on Thursday 17th Dec at 5pm.I waited an hour outside and in a crowded waiting room that was not adequately socially distanced nor sterilized. The system is inefficient and unprofessional. The test procedure was not well explained to me. I waited 54 hours for my test result and phoned 4 times to query this. I was told I would receive a result within 24 hours.After 50 hours, I was told that the computer registered only 26 hours. I have no idea whether to trust my so- called negative test. I would not use this lab again. Very problematic. I am a doctor and was rather shocked by this dodgy place.

After I called them a few occasions then only i was told my results was emailed upon asking them what email addresses they have its correct but whoever send the email didnt read it properly. I attended the clinic for a walk in PCR/Covid test required for an international flight and was impressed with the efficient and professional service. There was a relatively large queue of people waiting to be seen but dont be put off- the queue moved quickly and the whole process (including the test) took less than 90 minutes.Staff were helpful and the cost was a very reasonable 850 rand (compared to the £200 I paid in the UK). Payment can be made by card onsite. I has the test at 1pm and received the emailed results by 11am the following day.I would highly recommend.

I am very impressed with Dr Hamadis lab. I was in a bit of a pickle, because I needed my test results within a very short period of time to make a very urgent flight (the airline changed the test requirements last minute, due to the rapid rise in cases). I was told by another doctor that this lab might be the only option in Cape Town (probably SA) that could get me a pcr result in time. The doctor was right, Dr Hamadi and his team did deliver and I got my result. I made my flight and overall am very pleased with this experience.I see quite a few negative comments here, but I think its worth noting the vast amount of cases in South Africa right now and therefore, given these circumstances, it would be practically impossible for a testing clinic in Cape Town right now to get all of its tests back within 48 hours. Thus, given the circumstances, you guys are doing an excellent job.I do however have one serious recommendation: I think you should have a separate line for customers testing for travel purposes versus health purposes. I was healthy and asymptomatic when I tested, but waiting outside in the long line amongst several highly contagious people was worrisome. Although this did not put my life in danger, because I am 25 years old and healthy. But if someone older was in my position, it could place their health at a serious risk (weird to think that in 2020 standing in a line could put your life at danger?). Maybe just something to think about.But again, phenomenal experience and thank you Dr Hamadi and the kind receptionist for helping me out. You guys are doing amazing work and keep it up!Nic

Agree completely with all the terrible reviews. This place is a scam.I went with a friend at the same time and we had the same experience. Mine was a covid test, his was covid + anitbody. Together this was ~R2000.Force you to pay upfront and do not provide a receipt for medical aid. ask you to call and get receipt later but calls are not answered, emails not responded to.I received the results 3 weeks later via email. After complaining and demanding money back for lack of service they refuse to respond to any correspondence.Would highly suggest to avoid this place at all costs.

This lab gave us false positive results. We were trying to get our pcr for international travel and received a positive result. We could not believe it becuase we had no symptoms so we retested at next path at the old Christian Barnard center and both received negative results. We were highly inconvinienced and our vacation in cape Town was ruined, with wasting time and money trying to get accurate results. Many people have gone through the same thing. This lab needs to be shut down, do not test there or trust the results you receive.

Went there to do my COVID test before traveling back to Europe. Not only were the results delayed, but I only received an SMS stating I was negative. I received zero official documents that would have been required to leave the country. Thankfully I also went to another place that actually knew what they were doing..otherwise I would have not been able to go on my flight.

Went for a covid test. In and out in 2mins which was good. Results came back Positive. Showed no symptoms after few days even. My spouse went for a test the next day and tested negative which was strange. I went for another test at pathcare more than a week later and tested negative.Spoke to others who claimed the same happened to them after testing at hamadi.I would avoid. Use pathcare instead. Costs the same.

My Fiance and I was in contact with someone who tested positive for Covid 19A few days later I got extremely sick went to my GP in Gauteng he had me do the covid test in there and then said my results should be out in 24 to 48hrs this was last week Thursday Around 10am that I was testedNeedless to say its now Sunday night almost Monday morning an entire 80+ hours later and WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR RESULTS!Ive called them countless times spoke to 20 diff people all they had done was lie and lie and lie some more !Please do not respond here asking me for my personal details such as my ID NO.!You will definitely hear further from my lawyers tomorrow morning as this is absolutely unacceptable the world is suffering from a pandemic one thats killing people and you guys are playing with our lives like this! On the plus side, relatively fast service, text alerts and results via text in 36 in my case. Expect to be standing for 30-90 mins in the sun. Come prepared.On the downside... Poor processes for handling large covid 19 test demand. While these are unusual volumes, that is no excuse for poor organisation and clear direction to the public for everyones safety and peace of mind... Management needs to review procedures and implement simple best practises for overflow particularly considering weather, the elderly etc. From a 1 hour observation and inclusion in the process it is clear that assistants are poorly trained (not identifiable even) and simple structures in place need to compensate for that. Examples, no sign posting of direction for queues, social distancing protocols not instilled in staff, no process in place for those old/ill to ease waiting times, hand sanitizer not used consistently for payments/interactions with staff, gloves used on one hand, but the other used to touch credit cards (?). Basically, poor leadership present and needs simple fixes to work far better especially given the revenue being generated at prices that continue to climb in a crisis for people that are desperate.More concerning is the lack of ventilation in the specimen collection rooms (interior) and a flow of foot traffic that forces close contact between patients in small indoor spaces (converted house). This is easy to fix if staged correctly. Of the 5 tests Ive had to do, this has been the worst experience and frankly so easy to fix with minimal investment and a little thought. Good luck.

When I took my covid test there was a lady who was there complaining she never got her covid tests e-mailed to her and she couldnt leave the country. Worst experience. Went for a covid clearance certificate to travel, waited 2 hours in a very unorganised queue (no forms, no order and very limited social distancing from public and staff).After 6 hours my wife received a false positive test result (which caused unnecessary anxiety for the whole family) and after 4 days I have yet to receive any result.In the end we had to go to a different testing facility and pay another R1500 in order to get our negative results in time to fly.

I have never received such poor service from a lab before. I am so tired of being treated poorly and being lied to. Currently on 5 working days since my test with no result. If you call the lab, no one answer. On a lucky occasion that someone does answer they transfer you before you even finish your sentence to another line which then does not get answered. If you leave your details for someone to call you back, no one ever does. How does a company like this exist when they treat their clients so poorly?

Went for a Covid 19 test at Surrey Estate branch on 10/09 by Rueben. What a horrible experience!! It was so sore! Not uncomfortable, but sore. My husbands nose bled for an hour afterwards... Will never use these people again. And guess what....after a short payment by the medical aid on 17/09, I was handed over to debt collectors on that same day. I had to ask them for a statement when the customary call came for payment on 25/09. Will not use them again!

Poor service, , inaccurate results. All they did was rob us of R780. Rather use reputable laboratories. Namely Ampath or Lancet. At least you know your results are correct. With Ampath the results are available the next day under 24hrs. Then you dont have to loose 5 days of income during this trying period. ( please know that hamadi do not update you. You as the patient have to hound them for the results.) Then they send you the incorrect resultsWhat a joke.

Went for a Covid test at a Dischem drive through in Cape Town. I have been phoning the lab to find out my results. Firstly, count yourself lucky if they answer your call, secondly my swab was sent to Toga Lab in JHB by mistake then back to CPT. Then they couldnt find my swab and bag and told me it was lost. I am already so anxious as it is. Then today after one of my successful phone calls someone found it, and said I should phone 3 hours later to get my results. I phoned back and result wasnt ready. Now I have tried 30 plus times to phone, as well as my son and husband have tried to phone from their phones and no reply! This is totally unacceptable. People are already so stressed due to Covid-19 and now we must stress to get our results. Worst service ever.

Ive called through to the lab based in Claremont on four occasions. If the staff arent transferring you without consent, then they are picking up the phone as you dial and hanging up immediately afterwards. Probably the most unhelpful group of staff Ive ever encountered in my life. They may not express explicit rudeness through their use of language, however their actions reflect that of staff who have no concern for customer experience as well as the urgency one would expect from an institution which deals with important results following any testing completed with the lab.Response: I have emailed :[email protected] with all the details as this post doesnt allow me to comment. Horrible lab. Horrible service. I tested 3 days ago for covid 19 through the Midrand lab via my GP. Still don’t have results. I tried calling the lab numerous times not once did they answer the phone. My GP also can’t get hold of them.I was admitted today, the hospital tried to get my results from Hamadi lab to no avail. They just don’t answer the phone and don’t respond to emails. So I had to get re-swabbed (by Ampath) so that I could be diagnosed. My medical aid obviously didn’t pay for the second swab because I was already swabbed a few days prior. I still don’t have my results from Hamadi. Ampath results were available within 24 hours.I am disgusted with the lack of service at Hamadi. I would never ever use them again or even recommend them to anyone. Poorly managed lab.

Services are not promising. Plus, got tested for Covid-19 after a line of people who got tested too, the person who tested us did not change their gloves once they were done with the rest of the patients. Raises concerns for cross contamination, false results and also potential risks of contracting the virus in the testing room. No cleansing station or sanitizer available either.

🇮🇪🇬🇧🇺🇲 Even in the difficult period of the COVID-pandemic this laboratory offers perfect service. I needed a PCR test for traveling back home, and so there is only a short period of time possible. Although there were literally hundreds of clients, this institute could offer me a mobile variant, which is supplied as well; and so I could receive my result in time for a safe trip. Thank you for finding an individual solution!🇦🇹🇩🇪🇨🇭 Even in the difficult time of the COVID pandemic, this laboratory offers perfect service. I needed a PCR test for my trip home, so I only had a very short window of opportunity.
