Dropped my vintage bicycle to be stripped and sent for re-spraying. Paid full price upfront to strip and put back together once re-sprayed. This was done under docket no.5224 May 2018. Ive sent emails, spoken to reception, been into the shop on many many occasions with no resolution. Bearing in mind I live an hours drive from the shop. I then phoned the owner who told me that hed get back to me & would look into the matter ... this was approx 6 months ago. Respect for one another telephonically & personally from staff when I called was always present & never were there any heated conversations, but to date Ive not received one email or even a a courtesy phone call from them, ever. I just want my bicycle back in one piece as promised. Apart from all the inconvenience & cost already incurred with having to chase them up I am now forced to incur more costs & inconvenience by going the legal route. Very sad and very disappointing Cycle Teknix, you came highly recommended to me by many folk that are very good customers of yours.

They packed and wrapped our bikes, to be sent to Brazil in the airplane. Generally they did a a very good job.Unfortunately the mechanic didnt tell me, that the axis, to hold the front wheel, broke and was then too short to screw tight the wheel.If the mechanic would have told me, we could have found a solution at their shop.Instead they wrapped the damaged part and I got that by surprise.Sent them a message but they didnt reply.

Best Bicycle shop in Cape Town.Ive always had a good experience with the Teknix crew.

Had a tubeless conversion done. Went for a ride on the bike, neither tires seems to seal entirely on the sides. So i send an email with photos to cycle teknix and after a week no response, finally get the time to take it in. Very apologetic and promise to have it fixed the next day. Phone the afternoon with lots of apologies that they never got round to it but will definitely have it ready by 12. Just came from there. The bike has not been touched! They said theyll start on the bike now but i get the feeling that somehow this isnt going to be resolved with the care that it wouldve otherwise. Pathetic service especially considering this is something that wasnt done properly by them in the first place.

The day they opened here, they had a special for an aluminium frame and carbon fibre fork, for a roadbike. I couldnt resist and that has been my trusty steed for many Argus Cycle Tours. Took the bike back there again a few months ago as it needed a full service, and an amazing full service it got. Am very happy and would highly recommend them.

Dont go to this shop.... Had to become nasty to get my money back. Was not a pleasure shopping at Cycle teknix.

I rented a bike here while on a vacation in SA for ten days. They did an excellent job in providing the right bicycle, delivered it to my hotel and attended super quick when I had a small issue with one of the tires. Id recommend this place if you are looking to rent a bicycle while traveling in the CapeTown region.

The service is equally important as the product being sold! Sold me a broken trainer. Once I opened the box and started with the assembly of components, I notice that it was previously assembled, or at least there was some attempts. Critical components do not work. Will now need to make the trip to return it. Will be the last time I set foot in that shop. Zero stars from me.

Great service, bought 7y old son new 24“ bike. Shop set it all up for him, they keep a paper trail record of the bike on and offline. Great bike, decent price. I will go back in 4 months when my 4y old turns 5. Has toilets and parking.

I echo what some have said here. Feels like they are doing you a favour IF someone attends to you. I really cant think of any time i had a Good experience. I pop in for odds and ends as its close(no chance Ill let them service my bike and its a full carbon Rocky Ascent) but if the dude at desk is not on phone then he will warm that seat without getting up to assist. This morning is the last time I set foot in there. Bad attitude. Gimme Cycles Direct team any day..Against my better judgement I went in again. Two assistants on social media, no interest in asking if they could help. Went back later for pedals I might be interested in, no card machine...in this day and age.It amazes me they still in business...terrible service and attitude.

Do not go there ! You’ll thank me.I brought my bicycle for a full service and to get a few parts changed.When I came to pick it up, it was 30 minutes before closure time and they were « working on it ». Obviously, it was a last minute rushed job since I had to wait past closure time.The bicycle was all greasy and not even cleaned. After 2 days :- One of the brake pads dropped as I was cycling. So not only did I lose it (that will come out of my pocket) but I also almost got hit by a car.- The tape is already going away. I checked and it’s really some poor work.- I asked for the tyre to be fixed, it was not.- The bicycle is making weird noisesNow I could go back and explain my case but clearly, if they reach that level of neigligence, they don’t care about their customers. Moreover, I see how they rushed a paid task. I’d rather not experience them fixing their poor work for free.

Front crank creaks horribly when riding. Clearly wasnt even tested. and yes I paid for this.Also am still waiting for the workshop to return my call regarding the part which was meant to take 3 days but is now at 10 days.Not a happy customer.

Came in on a weekday and the staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked if they could fix a few spokes and they were very grumpy saying that they were unable to help “you can see we have a lot of bikes to service” .Then I asked about renting a bike stand for the car and they told me the person that deals with rentals was not in on the day. (How do you run a business like that?)Not a way to treat a new customer, left feeling like I was inconveniencing them and that they were not keen to help at all.Went to Cycle-inn in Burgundy Estate - was helped immediately and got my bike back in one hour!

My bike was a bit mishandled by the Airport and on Thursday I was in a spin as to how to repair the damage.I found Cycle Teknix on google, within 10 minutes i was at the shop and welcomed by awesome people. These professional, friendly bunch of people made it possible for me to ride the Argus this year and i would like to thank them for the quick service they provided.

I was in Cape Town in January 2018 and Khile from Cycle Teknix helped me out with a rental of a Supersix Evo so that I was able to go for a road ride. I brought my own helmet and shoes but due to an issue with getting my pedals off of my bike at home I arrived needing those too (and compatible cleats). Khile was able to help me out there as well and organized delivery and pick-up from the V&A Waterfront all at a very reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend these guys and when Im in Cape Town again, Ill be heading by to Cycle Teknix again. Thanks!

Appalling service. Avoid at all costs.I paid for and hired a bicycle in Dec 2016 / Jan 2017 and returned it in Jan 2017.Included in the payment was an amount held for as a temporary deposit, in which the terms of sale / invoice indicates that said amount will be refunded when the bicycle is returned.I provided my banking account details and was promised a refund by Deone van Sittert of the organisation (as the bicycle was returned in the same condition it was provided to me).After numerous emails and telephone calls, they have for the most part simply ignored my correspondence. I dont understand the strategy of ignore the issue in the hope that it goes away.My advice is to stay away from such an organisation - there are plenty of other service providers in the market who would be happy to lend you a quality bike and abide to the terms of sale by refunding you on time.Theoretically, if a deposit is not going to be refunded, then (depending on the bike etc) the customer may as well purchase the bike outright from another supplier considering the final cash outlay.

A waste of time cycle store! I ordered a bike almost 3 weeks ago, I was initially told there is stock of the bike, I hear nothing from the stores until I called them, I was told I will receive it in 3 days. Again no word from them until I phoned them again. I was told they still waiting for the bike to come in. Its now almost 3 weeks and no one has given me a call to let me know whats happening.

Good rental bikes and service. Very cheap in comparison to Rentals in Cape Town.

Found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating.

Really bad service from the workshop. On top of this I was insulted by the workshop manager. Stay away from Cycle Teknix Tableview.
