I walked into this shop looking for a mountain bike this afternoon after mine was stolen. My insurance paid out and I am ready to replace, I must say a Beautiful array of bikes, but alas the shop felt empty of assistance. The coffee smelt good from the coffee shop next door. Someone appeared from the back and proceeded with, I gather a manager from the back rooms with a co-worker discussing “something” on a bicycle wheel, still hoping to get assistance and help, I was disappointed that they would rather discuss the problem at hand, rather than me toiling in the shop. I made a few up and downs and still nobody helped me. I walked out. Such an upmarket store …. Stunning …. I will never come back.

Excellent sales service, stunning bikes, great coffee and the best bike fitting (Retül) ever!

I visited the shop this morning and it is the second time in 2 weeks where the service is absolutely terrible. Staff see you come in and do not even approach you to ask if you need assistance and are very unfriendly. They also have hardly any stock of anything. I will never support them again

Visited the shop today with Shane helping my wife set up her bike. As a total novice to the sport I cannot stress how pleasant our experience was. Shane went out of his way to show, teach and get things just so. A true ambassador of the sport and we’ll definitely be back if everyone in the store is this dedicated and professional.

Spacious store with plenty of Specialized bikes and clothing. If youre a cyclist its difficult to leave without finding something to buy.

Excellent service and a very inviting space. Friendly staff with great expertise and knowledge. Youll definitely get good advice and of course a fantastic bicycle. Highly recommended and worth a visit. Although they sell Specialized bicycles, they can service any bicycle.

Nibbly bits NEVER DISAPPOINTS. Honestly not sure why there isnt a shop in every mall. The white chocolate cookies are the best among other things !! A must see!

The checkers at this centre is very good. There is an abundance of variety for all. They recently placed an electronics department that stocks various gadgets.The veg produce is good with some additional extras that can be used for exotic dining.The staff is helpful and friendly.There is also a spice shop that is fantastic which we always go to fire our spice provisions.Overall, these two shops are the reason as to why we go to this centre.

Would not recommend them got much better customer service from other bike shops. Staff try and not look your way or even great. They have little stock and when you tell them that you are interested to purchase a bike they have excuses of it not even being loaded on the system. Pathetic.

Some cool shops at this centre. Always parking available. Just a mission getting out of the parking lot. Otherwise all good. Enjoy popping into this checkers. Shelves are usually full. Staff are fairly friendly.

I love coming to this shopping center. It is always such a peaceful non rushed experience. And I always find what I need.

Its a relaxed place with only a handful of useful retail shops to visit. I only went to Checkers hyper during this visit but Ive been to some of the fast food places and even the Takkie Town there and theyre all of a pretty good standard.

This Checkers is so well managed, and really affordable. always clean and stocked with everything one could want. As far as Checkers goes.. the fresh produce there is of the highest quality. Bought loads of fruit, and it kept well. If I have to be critical, I would say they could spend money on educating their staff, and installing a higher level of service from their cashiers. Not alot of courtesy at the tills. Service always overshadows savings.

Besides Food Lovers Market and a factory ice cream shop it has nothing going for it. Lots of empty shops and the other shops that are there one would seldom use. Cant see this centre making it. Good Lovers is good always have specials..e.g. today was ten rand Tuesday. Often have fifty rand Friday or wacky Wednesday.

Changing my review now to 1 Star, Because as of lately the entrance is a smokers corner, And I have to walk, with my toddler, through clouds of smoke pretty much every time when entering. Security do nothing about it despite asking them to do something. Emailed Management and heard nothing back after they replied asking for more specifics. My understanding is its illegal to smoke in public spaces. But who is accountable for it. Perhaps I should push for some more legal action.

Another centre....not much happening. Checkers Hyper for those specials...a furniture store and a few small shops....lots and lots of free parking. The BEST is that this shop is never overfull, as its slightly away from others it attacks less of a crowed

One of those local malls that has a few nice options. The checkers there is fantastic and so are the some of the restaurants like bread and butter and they fish shop

Checkers Hyper has whatever your household needs. The surrounding gems like Nibbly bits, Jam clothing offers good prices on stock. A lovely convenient and easy on the pocket shopping experience.

Sandown Retail Crossing has ample parking and is great for shopping with the family. With more than one area where small children can play, its easy to leave one parent with them while the other goes and does the shopping. There isnt much you wont be able to find at Sandown and its better than trying to push your way through the crowd in some of the bigger shopping malls in the area.

Fantastic checkers with a massive toy section. And extensive toiletry section and quite a large clothing selection .. Everything you could possibly need under one roof from pool cleaning equipment to garden furniture to out door camping equipment to every type of home appliance to underwear and over a hundred types of cheese to choose from..

Like this Checkers Centre..easy parking lots fresh veg nicely displayed..good selection of everything incl bakery..fish..meat..wine..crockery plus more and not forgetting the animal and fish pets. Very smart shop. Other useful stores nearby in the complex. Conveniently situated

The place is up stairs and the people are friendly. Not long to wait and the owner can be seen helping out in the kitchen. This is a very good reflection for business. The pizza is tasty and they also deliver

The shopping center is quite decent with enough parking space. There are some restaurants, fast foods and furniture stores. The place is well kept.

Busy little shopping area especially on weekends. Free parking. You will find a variety of shops on this small little shopping area.

I like Checkers Sandown Crossing. It is a friendly shopping environment and thd staff are very helpful. They will go the extra mile for shoppers and will make a plan to be helpful. If you cannot find what you want, they will request your details and once they have the item, contact you.

I used to live in Sandown apartments and because of the retail crossing present nearby , you can go and get stuffs easily as everything is readily available there whether its checkers, mcd, etc. The only request is to extend the timings if possible as sometimes office people comes back after 7 and its closed. So , if it will be open till 8, it will be really helpful.

Great center, great selection.Pity the Checkers staff are so unfriendly. Its like they are doing you a favour instead of being happy to have a job.

Quite a few soft furnishing/interior shops, and a huge Checkers from which we bought security gates, a vacuum cleaner and food. Some of the usual major chain stores, but so welcoming to see smaller privately owned shops as well. Parking a plenty. And the Myciti bus stops in front of the centre.

Bought a Specialized Tarmac from them! Excellent after Sales service also! Now to save for a mountain bike! sound advice! They are never too busy to help or just say hi!

The biggest draw is of course Checkers Hyper. Their prices are competitive and quite a number of items are cheaper than other food outlets. Really good specials on their Heyday weekends.

My local shopping area. Has all the necessary shops. A pleasant atmosphere. Great play area if you have young kids with a coffee shop restaurant next to it.

A nice shopping center with easy access and plenty of parking needs more shops to open with diversity of products Center management should work on this with the dominance of Checkers it is a pity not to use this shopping attraction

It has everything you could ever need, the store is well planned out and well kept, the staff are helpful and friendly, the freshest produce and great prices too. Possibly the best Checkers Ive been to.

Its a shopping complex with Checkers Hyper as the biggest shop there. Incase you use bicycle there a new bicycle shop there now. Builders warehouse closeby also.

The mall is not too big, the have checkers Hyper and jam jam clothing store. Else are couple boutiques, coffee shops and salons, then the are home furniture stores like house n home. Great place for a quick shopping for small items.Food court is Nandos, KFC and burger king

Well located, A bit strangely distributed as the Checkers and adjecent shops get all the walk through while the outlining shops see none of it. But Great Checkers. Nice vet store. Water shop, liquor store etc.

Great service. Quick, friendly and efficient. Do not try and sell you parts you do not need. I am so impressed.

Checker is the best supermarket in the area. It would be nice if we had a Dischem and Woolworths clothing to complete the shopping experience and the parking is free.

The CheckersHyper is well laid out. Unfortunately I found the 2 boxes of Avenger puzzle set out of original wrapper but still put up on the shelve. Its a shame my son was looking forward to an exciting afternoon.

They have a wide variety of stores which means you can pretty much do all your shopping in one place.

Very nice shopping experience. Checkers Hyper has always great specials on. Loving their hardware section, it is cheaper than any other hardware and I always shop their for my Handyman needs and skills. Food section is good and huge ails and stocking just everything one regularly needs.Just needs more till staff as I always see from around the 25th of every month, the qeues are long and customers frustrasions builds up. Can never understand why at the bussiest time of the month, the staff are less. One sees cash registers standing empty and not in operation.
