EXCEPTIONAL!!! Mario and Annemarie went above and beyond to accommodate us on VERY short notice. We were given beautiful rooms, treated with such friendliness and hospitality and could not get enough of the stunning view. We will definitely be back soon and highly recommend this Guesthouse to anyone passing though the Gordons Bay / Cape area.

Exquisite venue in the heart of False Bay. A definite stay and recharge for the soul!!

You sometimes read reviews with a bit of doubt, however this place is different. Everything we have read was an understatement. The Chocolate Box was as sweet as its name suggests. We were spoilt beyond our wildest dreams. The staff are attentive and pay attentions to the small details that make all the difference.The location of the Chocolate Box on the slopes above Gordons Bay gives you a feeling of floating over the area. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed with spacious common areas. We had a choice of venues for our breakfasts.Talking about breakfast, the menu is delicious, every dish needs savoring, so book a long stay to work you way through the entire menu.The review will not be complete without mentioning Olaf and Brad, they are excellent hosts, nothing was to much for them. They know the area well and were a valued source of information regarding wineries and other attractions.We will be returning in the future, for sure!!!!I just cannot recommend this place enough, even if you want to be in Cape Town, which is 40 minutes down the freeway. Treat yourself and stay at the Chocolate Box.

This Boutique Hotel boasts spectacular views, a divine breakfast, well appointed rooms and a selection of lounge music that transports your soul into a blissful Zen. The overall ambiance is quaint and it exudes an understated elegance. Operations are run by a close knit team of individuals who have truly redefined the meaning of hospitality. The Chocolate Box will forever remain etched in my memory as an oasis of serenity where I have met my second family away from home. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude goes out to Olaf, Brad, Bernadette, Susanne, Bradley and Fabio for making all of my dreams come true.

One of the best stays ever! Attention to detail in every aspect. Tasteful, upper-class, a level above the rest. The management and staff are unbelievable! They go beyond their duties to assist the clients. We were so sorry that we had not booked a longer stay here.

If I could give more stars I would! My husband and I stayed at the chocolate box with some friends for a couple of nights after coming back from the safari. I honestly thought nothing was going to top up the experience “in the bush” but I was in for a huge surprise - from the moment we arrived Brad & Olaf were so welcoming (that check in 😜), took super special care of us - we felt at home - and made our experience so amazing, it was the best way to finish our fabulous trip to SA. Thank you so much for everything!

Stunning place, great staff. The lady working there suggested 100% of the places and none were disappointing. I was very happy with the room.. The bed was so big and comfortable. I give it a 10/10

Simply breath taking Mountain and ocean views looking over Strand and Somerset West. Night time the view is magical. The house is tastefully decorated with modern and stylish finishes throughout this beautiful Guesthouse which overs self-catering units as well. Great breakfast and very comfortable sleeping experience.

I did not stay here however I had a problem with my accommodation and the staff of Chocolate Box went out of their way to assist and guide me. Imagine the level of service if I had stayed there. I spoke to a friend who had stayed there and they were very happy with the accommodation and a view to die for

Welcoming staff who were happy to see me even though I arrived at midnight!! They have struck an incredible between attention to every detail and warm and welcoming. The art makes each room an experience!!

This guesthouse exudes class and style. Everything was absolutely perfect. The breakfast was beyond comparison. I have stayed in dozens of places but this breakfast was streets ahead of any other place.

We spent six awesome nights at the chocolate box in Gordon’s bay. Olaf, Brad, Bernadette, Tecla are an amazing crew, we felt like family from the moment we walked through he door. Cannot describe the incredible breakfast, most beautiful artwork, the view from the suites and most of all, the passion for hospitality. This is a Travellers dream. Perfectly located between Cape Town and the Wine regions, close enough to the big-5 safari at Aquila, we explore ZA from the Chocolatebox, knowing we would always return in the evening for the sunset over False Bay or a stroll at the beachfront. Just a top secret location, with unparalleled hosts. Too bad, we had to leave and return back into real life, cause this was just like a dream....

Ask for the sweet ... exceptional suite ... the view from the bedroom terrace offers an unforgettable spectacle for a sunset to lose words ... to the right the mountains and to the left the sea ... a moment of pure emotions !!! Add the extreme kindness of the hosts, attentive, full of advice ... A breakfast comparable to a brunch. The design .. the decoration that I let you discover. The proximity to the city center.In short, incredible !!!!!!!
