Brow wax and tint:I arrived without a booking over the weekend and was lucky to get an available spot for brow and and tint; first impression was that the salon was clean and tidy, with the beauty therapists at stations or keeping busy, creating a nice professional environment. As it was such a fast visit, I forgot her name, but the therapist available was extremely nice, checking whether the wax was too warm, rough or painful (it was none of those, as she applied just enough pressure to get the job done without causing any unnecessary sting). As I only wanted a clean-up it was done in a short amount of time, but she never rushed and we discussed any concerns I had and made changes accordingly to the amount she took off.All in all a very pleasant visit, with lots of appreciation to the kind, efficient therapist who assisted me, as well as the friendly ladies at reception.

My nails were done so badly and my friend left with two nails bleeding. It has been 6hours since I had gellish applied and already one nail has lifted. She painted my skin on two nails and when I asked her to please fix it she blamed it on me somehow saying I looked at it for too long and made the nail polish spill over onto my skin. In additon the gellish applied is lumpy and makes my nails look incredibly thick and uneven. I didnt even bother asking the lady to fix my nails at one point as her attitude and inability to do a good job showed that there was no point. I asked for a glass of water and only one was brought for my friend and not for me. Throughout the entire experience I felt like I was unwelcomed and me being there was a pain. Just dont go, very bad and unfriendly service.

I went to sorbet gardens yesterday for 2 treatments, the downstairs sorbet. With all the new policies due to Covid, they really are going above and beyond to make sure it is still an amazing experience. Well done to the Sorbet team for being so positive and helpful. Love going there.

The Sorbet on the lower level in Gardens shopping centre is actually really nice. As a rule, I usually avoid Sorbet but they had a birthday month special so I made an appointment. I had my nails done by Nobuhle which ended up being the BEST gel mani I’ve EVER had in Cape Town. They didn’t peel at all and I eventually soaked them off when they were growing out. They’re also very friendly which is a big plus for Cape Town. (Photos attached are screenshots as I never took proper pictures.)

My daughters received gift vouchers for mini-manicures at Sorbet. I headed down to Gardens Centre. Wow! It wasnt just a mini-manicure - it was an experience that they wont forget. From the moment they walked in, they were treated like royalty! What an amazing experience. Thank you Sorbet for giving my girls such a special morning - so much more than they ever expected! They absolutely loved it! I highly recommend sending your friends or family to do the same. But make sure its the Gardens Centre upstairs branch - they go above and beyond.

Went to sorbet gardens on 30-01-2018, upstairs, to treat myself and daughter before she left for England. I had a mini mani. The next day my little finger nail started burning, and the polish had already chipped off so I removed the varnish, only to discover such bad nail damage from the rough filing. My nails have still not recovered. Its our second bad experience at this branch. Definitely wont be visiting this branch again,

Honestly this was my first bad nail experience in Cape Town. I went to Sorbet Nails because it was convenient to where I was living, but unfortunately the quality of the manicure was awful. I expected something quite nice because I paid 400 rand for the manicure, but it was very messy and the next day there was nail polish peeling off all around my nails. I am incredibly disappointed in the quality of this manicure, especially for the price.

When I first moved to Cape Town from Joburg, I couldnt find anyone who could add a bit of super-cool nail art to my regular gelish manicure... And then I found it here... Fantastic gelish manicures that last a good two weeks, a staggering colour line-up of polishes and totally un-naff, edgy nail art designs. Sold.
