It was an amazing experience!!The staff are professional, neat, friendly, and good at what they are doing! Our braids look amazing!At the begging I didn’t explain well what type of braids I prefer.. when they noticed that, they offered to redo all the hair again just to be perfectly happy with it.They were prompt and they braid our hair with excellent speed and a smile all the way!Not only that, after we finished it was almost the curfew time and as foreigners we had trouble finding a transportation back to the hotel, they noticed and offered all the help and didn’t leave until they secured us a taxi..NOT ONLY THAT, they called us later to make sure that we arrived safely!Awesome team and great service.. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

The staff is helpful, quick and effective. They braided my natural hair with no heat or product, and did it within 4 hours for mid-back length crochet Marley twists. I highly recommend them.

The staff at Afro Corner are awesome they provide excellent service that is consistent. The only thing that is off putting is the owner, she charges random inconsistent prices, she does not care if you are local, she charges international prices. You do your hair worried about what she will choose to charge you this time. If you dont ask upfront you will be charged steeply. I would suggest a price list be available , so the customer can prepare their budget and make an informed decision.

My experience at Afro corner was a great one. They were patient with me as i decided what style to do. i got a great wash and treatment. the 2 girls who did my hair were amazing (Im sad I cant remember their names) . Everyone was nice and courteous. I will definitely go back when i visit Cape Town again. You should visit if youre looking to get your hair done while in Cape Town.

In the salon they play gospel music and you think its genuine people. The lady at reception is not even ashamed of herself for overcharging you. R850 for just normal box braids they did not even give me the hair that was not used and it was not even 1 pack. A wash, not even a blow dry as I do not use heat on my hair. Please ask the price before you sit down and choose your products otherwise youll be overcharged for nothing and stick to your price. I gave 1 star, if there would be a disgrace star I would give that.

I went in and was assisted immediately. The lady doing my hair was fast. Am happy with the results.

I did extensions which cost a pretty penny. I bought the Peruvian hair extensions and 360 frontal at the salon as well. After 2 days the frontal came off at work! As it turns out it wasnt secured at all,not even with a single stitch it was just basically put on. The hairpieces were sewn in (picture that with the frontal missing) but not the frontal). I went back on the Saturday and OMW what a unpleasant experience to say the least. I felt like I stole from these people and walked back in their shop a week later to steal some more. They even argued that I did my hair a month ago, I kept on telling them to refer to their register. Anyway they re-did my hair and according to them by their best hairstylist (she was friendly). Any needless to say after sitting in that horrible energy getting my hair done,my hairdo lasted a whole 2 weeks. I went to a different hairdresser. I got rid of the frontal which shed hair everywhere (I complained about that too on my second visit, but that felt on deaf ears). Maybe they should just stick to braiding, as they clearly cannot do extensions. I gave them one star coz there is not a no star rating available.

Best salon to get braids. Super cheap and great quality. Also for European hair. Employees and boss are friendly and patient and respond to customer requests. Goes nowhere else than here. Get an appointment within a day. I have thick hair and it only took 3.5 hours to get the whole head full of beautiful braids. My 5 year old daughter also got her head full of braids in just 40 minutes. She loves it. Gladly again when back in Capetown.

I share my experience of this show with you! I went there to do my hair twice, the first time, no problem! Everything was perfect! The second time a disaster! I asked for false locks. They were 3 on my head! Pulled from all sides. MyPigtails are so tight that I couldnt sleep that night. I am thinking of removing them today ... they cost me 750R knowing that the price was negotiated, he asked me 900R. They justified the price to me because it takes more time and a double job , which I can understand when done right and done with care for our natural frizzy hair. She also told me it was expensive because it was supposed to last a long time. I don’t understand the argument because it’s not his problem with the length of the mats. For example, I only keep my mats for 3 weeks while others will keep them for 3 months. I am very careful with the products I use and the way I comb my hair especially being natural now. I have small bumps on my scalp no doubt I will remove them. Im not going to take the risk of having alopecia or whatever. No wonder all their hairdressers have broken hair if they braid so tight! Yet several times I asked him to tighten less.Very bad experience !! I absolutely do not recommend this salon.
