HB Plumbing recently renovated our two bathrooms as well as attending to a leak detection issue and plumbing maintenance on the geyser. We found the workmanship to be of a high standard and the staff were courteous.

Complete ripoff, overcharged for their services and did not provide a breakdown of labour vs part cost. They appeared at the house unannounced i.e. did not forewarn us they were arriving and we had to chase them to install the second part of the project. Will never use again. Highly disappointed. The reality is we are not happy customers with the way things were conducted and felt cheated by the cost and you havent done anything to rectify this. We were always courteous and polite on the phone but firm in letting you know we were dissatisfied. You are in the business of customer satisfaction and we were not satisfied.

Herman took my call personally on Easter Friday after my geyser burst in the morning. He quickly assured me not to worry and that the geyser will be replaced on Saturday morning at 8:30. When my neighbours geyser had burst two weeks ago, an inspection was conducted on my geyser located in the roof above my neighbours apartment culminating in the compliance of my hot water installation to the SANS 10254 regulation. I was unaware about the non-compliant condition of my geyser until Herman communicated his findings transparently after inspection, explained the implications of non-compliance and specified the work required to the drip tray overflow pipe, vacuum breakers, overflow pipe of the PRV valve and lagging on the hot and cold water supply. He later supplied me with images of my geyser to evidence the work that had been done in accordance with the regulatory standard. Herman is well acquainted with his trade and fully conversant about industry norms. His technical ability to appraise, impart knowledge and apply solution-based expertise inspired confidence within me to approach him about replacing the taps at my kitchen sink and resolve a recurring problem with a rat that had been accessing my toilet pipe. He accommodated both requests with equanimity - he was undeterred by the rat and shed perspective by citing the rodent as a common problem. A jolley flex and non-return valve were fitted to my toilet to prevent the rat from accessing my toilet pipe again. The work on my taps and toilet were timed in conjunction with the installation of my neighbours new geyser and compliance of my geyser, resulting in reduced call-out fees, quick turnaround times and minimal disruption. It became apparent that Herman and his team have the ability, resilience and humour to deal with the unexpected when we discovered rat droppings after my toilet was moved! Benett heroically removed the droppings and cleaned the area without complaint before the toilet was refitted. Thank you very much for going far beyond what was expected, Benett! After HB Plumbings resolution of multiple jobs in quick succession, I would definitely recommend their services! Beverley furthermore impressed me with her obliging attitude when I called their office for assistance with a payment process. Well done, team!

We had HB Plumbing come and do 2 bathrooms, they also tiled all the floors in the Granny Flat as well as painted all the rooms. We had them once before for our 1st bathroom in 2012, which still looks as good as new. Herman and his staff are very professional and they have someone to supervise which is a bonus instead of my husband having to check on them! Their prices are very reasonable and I would recommend them without hesitation.

My experience with HB Plumbing was awesome from start to finish! Herman and his team know what they are doing, and they do it well! A very, very tiny little room (+/- 0.9m x 2.5m - used for storage) was turned into a beautiful, functional on-suite wetroom with a shower, basin & toilet. Excellent service! Last year HB Plumbing converted a garage for us into a complete apartment, also a large master bedroom and a new double garage. From the beginning of the project to the end, everything was so well organized. The cost of the additions was in line with what we expected to pay with quality products used. The workers were reliable and the construction work was completed according to standard and duration planned and booked in advance. We will definitely use their services again in the future.
