This is definitely one of the best spots to visit in the CBD of Cape Town. With daily food and drink specials that are undeniably great value for money, this spot has indoor and outdoor seating too. TVs for sport and a decent bar with a lounging area and fire place. They also have a braai option that works great for groups of friends. Enjoy it! You wont regret it🥳

Not the best place I’ve ever been to. It’s a very cute and cozy looking place, so we were really impressed as we walked in. But our cocktails tasted more like mocktails, we had to ask for extra booze to be added on. Had a couple of drinks but still left sober as a judge, so not too sure what’s going on in the cocktail department. You’ll be better off ordering a beer!

You gotta love Van Hunks, I loved the ambience, everyone was in the moment without being on their phones. Its a great place to be with friends, family or co-workers. The food was great, the burgers and pizza with some beer, perfect combo. I love the beer selection, if you love beer you will be spoilt of choice.

Van Hunks is a Kloof Street institution. Laid back and welcoming to all. The assorted Afrikana on the walls are well worth a gander.The beer is cold, the tequila is even colder and when happy hour strikes , you will find plenty of like-minded people looking for a lot of both.This popular pub never disappoints, unless you are looking for a pizza before 5pm.

Van Hunks Restaurant and Bar offers a unique and lively vibe, were you are offered a large variety of beers - including local favourites as well as craft selections. Their menu is grill focused - we enjoyed their. delicious Monday burger special. Which met our every expectations as advertised. The service was good, but could be slightly more attentive. We will be back to enjoy some more pub grub.

Had the grilled fish, and beer battered fried fish & chips here over lunch, for the lunch special. Both were delicious, and great value for money. Awesome place to come for drinks with friends. Minus a star cause service was a little low.

Chilled neighbourhood restaurant vibe. Food is decent. They have a menu special every day.The highlight was the good service from our waiter. We had a large table and he was on the ball keeping everyone happy.

I imagine one could call it hip and trendy.If any place could be such in these awful times.I love it.Many spaces inside.A nice big bar, dining rooms and several spaces outside.Quite simply my favourite bar.Nestled in a big old corner house on Kloof Street in Tamboerskloof.I like it so much, I even paid for their t-shirt, which has a fabulous design on black fabric.One can eat here too, although I dont go to a pub to eat.They have a delicious pumpkin ale.A house ale to die for.Long may they live.

If youre looking for a chilled, young and vibey place in Cape Town with decent food and affordable prices, look no further.It is also a great place to watch sport. We watched the Springboks semifinal and final in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. The atmosphere was amazing.Be sure to come around if you are exploring Kloof Street.

I liked this bar quite a lot. What surprised me most was that it was quite affordable. Its quite a cool venue with great music.

Went to Van Hunks in search of pizza, was not disappointed, good pizza, nice thin and light base. Although the pizza lacked a little something, it was still great. Went down well with a cocktail, also very well priced. To top it off, got some great service from Blaize, our waiter, he was super nice and accommodating, always smiling! Would go back to try more.

Food is not great. But its a relaxed environment. Good for chill. Waiters, ps wear ur masks properly . Its not your chin that needs protecting.

If you come here please do not order the burger it literally tastes like dog food heated up, the onion rings are over salted and the pizza is sub par even compared to Debonairs. Been here a few times as its in a good location but not a huge fan of it

As a regular patron, I was embarrassed by the incompetent and rude service by the new manager today.In a bar with multiple tables asking for the commentary for a rugby game, the incompetent fool refused to put the sound on because it would disturb the dining room. Ive attached a picture of how busy the dining room actually was... Zero dinners 🙄😂The ignorant and stubborn alienation of regular customers really shows how stupid this new guy is! Get him running glasses until he can learn some manners, intelligence and a touch of customer service!

Van Hunks is a bit of a must-do in the area. The food is good, great specials and a nice vibe.Unfortunately the service is not always great, and a few of the waiters comes across as borderline aggressive, deducting from an otherwise great experience.
