Good old establishment. Large beer selection. Really well prepared if a little pricey for pub style food. Varied selection of meals. Had great service, friendly efficient. Liked the on tap Guinness and tank Castle especially.

Great venue to watch sport but seems they are cutting some corners compared to their previous quality. Used to have the beef ribs there all the time, had then last night and the full portion, which is about R220 is way smaller than is used to be, my 11 year old would finish it. They had also been so heavy-handed on the spice (star anise or five spice) that it was barely edible and completely over-powered the beef. Hopefully just a bad night because it used to be great.

Fantastic pub, been going there since a teenager. Foods up there with the best. Sunday roast with all the trimming cant be beaten. Do yourself a favor and go.

First time ever at this legendary venue, and it didnt disappoint. Great range of beers, and astonishingly good food. Will have to return to sample the menu more broadly.

Normally a good experience, however, our group was grossly overcharged by about 7 drinks on our visit. The person attending to our query wanted to hear nothing about it and basically said thats what we ordered and need to pay for. Do not think we will be going back.

A local institution for pub food and drinks. Great pizzas and some traditional stews that are so comforting. Lots of TVs if you want to watch sports.

I attended an informal company lunch with around 30 people in the group and were exceptionally well looked after. I was a little late so I had not ordered with the group. The staff spotted this immediately and jumped on it. Often at places like this, it takes ages to get a beer but not here. All round excellent service. The food is good quality pub food. My burger was tasty and immense!

Last night was the weekly pub quiz at the Firemans Arms, and it was a blast! A great atmosphere and a lot of fun. Im actually still suffering from eating the Firemans pie... It is one of the hottest things Ive ever eaten, but it was delicious! Highly recommended bar to visit. Very good food.

After the devistating fire that destroyed the front section it was great to visit yesterday and see they have used the opportunity to update and modernise the space. We ordered burgers which were presented stylishly on black crockery. They were really delicious and generous. My only gripe (and yes we could have chosen to sit in the non-smoking section) was as a venue that allows smoking under cover more ventilation would really help. The smell of cigarettes permiates throughout and not pleasant when scoffing a burger

The Firemans Arms is a fantastic bar, that has an incredible selection of alcoholic beverages and their meals are pretty fantastic, too!The area is always clean, with massive TVs to view all the sports youd need. The atmosphere if buzzing, with some great decor.I love it here!

The food and atmosphere itself is not bad at all, but I would simply not return because of the service. Waited 35mins for food order to be taken, servers were plain rude. When my wife ordered another side she was asked with: you want more food???!! It made her feel extremely uncomfortable. I am not a business man myself but dont you make more money when your patrons order food?? Train your staff on their manners please.

This is a piece of Cape Town history and must be visited at least once by everyone coming into town.Parking is a bit of a problem when its busy but youre able to use the parking lot over the road at no cost.

It has the feeling of a good English Pub.I didnt eat there, but the food looked good.

Great beer and hang out for after work drinks

The only thing you need to know is that you enter into the small smoking area bar. Proceed to the non smoking bar. Very cool place. Benches have cushions, really comfortable! Great pizza. The night I went it was cool and they had a real wood fire going, nice touch. I would recommend. Somehow it was different and better than a usual pub. I would definitely return.

Probably the best trivia night in town. Really fun and diverse questions. Not to mention the food and drink. My favorite fish fry spot by a long shot. Centrally located and good for big parties as well. The whole menu is popular and is definitely worth exploring.
