I really enjoyed being at Oblivion, Im not sure how it is at night, but it has a warm and intimate feel during the day -granted I went on a Thursday. I got mimosas and a Mozzarella Pesto sandwich, which is to DIE for! And my partner got a Strawberry milkshake and, the salmon cream cheese bagel, she really liked it as well.I fully recommend you give the restaurant a try, and the waiters are authentic and friendly, perfect place for a lunch date, or drinks on the rooftop!

Firstly I have no words for this place. Just kidding, I actually have a lot to say. This place is where I had my firdt date with my amazing boyfriend last year December. Im happy to say we are still strong. You can have breakfast or a dinner date. But its also great for just chilling, having pizza with your Beau. Its basically an all rounded place. You can be downstairs for one on one moments or upstairs, for drinks, great music and fun. Everyone working there is amazing and the Pizza us to die for. They have their own brewed beers.

Oblivion is far better than what I had in mind. The staff is friendly and served us well and made sure we are enjoying ourselves. The food and drinks are amazing and the ambiance is beautiful and warm. This is my new favourite place

Oblivion is a stunning hangout spot. It has a warm, cosy feel and the staff go all out to make you feel at home. The menu has divine treats, drinks and craft beer is superb; and the view from the terrace is stunning!

Beautiful place... service needs some work, seems like they are under staffed because everyone was running around... saw customers having to get their own menus and a customer frequently raising their hand for attendance. There was a tall black male with a black buffer didnt get his name he seemed most friendliest, the coffee is easy drinking too light for me.

Food is quite average. I like the venue and the ambience but overall it was okay.The steak was quite bland and over cooked. Wouldn’t recommend.

Very chilled ambiance. First time there last night and I liked the vibe as I walked in. Turns out they had quiz night so we were seated at the rooftop. Will definitely visit during the day when its warmer. Variety of cocktails and their fillet is just succulent! I loved their proper chips too. Service was impressive too! Think Ive found my new hangout spot :)

A great place for a drink with friends - they have some nice cocktails. Personally, I am not crazy about their food, but theres a decent variety nonetheless. Some awesome views when you sit outside on the deck upstairs and also an opportunity to watch a sunset.

Were not willing to accommodate our vegetarian patron at all. Drinks very expensive but food is reasonably priced. I have tried to contact you but the email you gave is not correct. Another issue - wine was warm when it arrived at the table both white and red.

Second time there and honestly dont know why I havent been there more! From the great food right up until the super friendly staff, Oblivion definitely knows how to keep things fresh. Their jalapeno poppers are a MUST for those who can handle some spice.

My boyfriend ordered the chicken and mayo sourdough sandwich and ended up getting food poisoning on Valentines Day and was sick for the whole week. He contacted Oblivion to let them know but they did not care enough to respond. Definitely wouldnt recommend.

We had some time to kill between appointments, and came to Oblivion to sit and work. The service was friendly, the server was non-intrusive and the coffee was nice. I did find their portions small for the price though, the salmon eggs benedict on a very tough bagel was R109 and left me quite hungry still. I think Ill go back though, because the atmosphere is nice, the staff are friendly and the food tastes good, and that makes for an enjoyable visit with my family.

Its supprisingly nice. They clearly upgraded it a while ago so it does not feel like the drunken den it used to be.. I even went during the day! The upstairs is lovely.

Opens early. Free wifi all over. You can work upstairs with a nice view of the mountain or inside. Almond milk available for coffee.

Oblivion, I keep coming back to you. Great vibes, great food and great services. Theres ample parking across the road from the restaurant and my waitress (Rou) was amazing. I love their hand cut chips, steaks for days and the generous food portions. Saucy ribs and steak? Yes please. If you dont believe me, go try them out!

Sit at the rooftop bar and you’ll feel like you are in a beach club. Great music, awesome views. Food is amazing.Beers a tad disappointing, they should have cancelled out in the menu cos staff said they not making the Dogfather black IPA anymore. So we ordered Sit Stay IPA, but after 15min if wait, staff said they opening a new keg, after another 5min, said there’s a problem with the keg so can’t pour. Anklebiter Ale was just alright.Happy hours pricing for drinks are ridiculously cheap, would have to come back again!!

Superb restaurant/bar! We ordered the nachos (no photo), oblivion burger, and fish and chips. We started off having the nachos as starters, very cheesy with tomato and onion toppings. The fish is very flaky with a great thin crispy coating. The burger patty is juicy and has a great light mayo sauce that doesnt make it too heavy. Overall great experience and we will be back soon.

I wandered around the streets of Claremont waiting for a tyre change on my van, getting wet and irritated. Then I stumbled into Oblivion, not literally, the restaurant. It was squeaky clean and tables spaced well, and all the staff wearing masks. And the reception I received was warm and loving. Coffee excellent. A safe place in troubled times.

Great venue. Enjoyed the variety on the menu, burgers are awesome. I am a smoker and discovered their smoking section has closed. Didnt enjoy having to smoke on the street. Awesome place awesome vibe great for non smokers.

4 of us went for a meal. The pita bread was rock hard due to it being burnt. For the mains, the meals were switched round in respect of the steaks. Then the other two meals, the fish was served with mushroom sauce instead of tarter sauce and the schnitzel with tartar sause instead of the mushroom sauce.Sad as it is a good venue.

The staff was quite unfriendly except for one bubbly waitress. My friends and I ordered granadilla cheesecake and chocolate fondant and both of these were underwhelming. My other friend ordered a the Fun Guy Burger and it was underseasoned. This restaurant has the potential to be a very good spot with a beautiful view however, service and quality of food needs to improve

Really great place to work from. The space is large with a wonderful outdoor area, the wifi was fast and coffee was great. The waiters even went out of their way to find me an adapter to charge my laptop with. Will definitely be back again soon 🙂

Awesome service. The downstairs bar is clean and the rooftop seating area is beautiful during sunset on a clear summers day. Highly recommend the their home brewed craft beer, try the fetch lager as its one of my favourites from the list of beers they offer.

Great service from the super friendly staff. Awesome upstairs open-air balcony with magnificent views of the mountain as well as a very spacious downstairs seating area inside. The food was excellent in terms of portion size and quality. I would recommend Oblivion for anyone looking to have breakfast, lunch or dinner! Their COVID precautions are all in place, such as sanitizing customers hands and a register of customers who visit them.

Its truly a gem in an unexpected location. We enjoyed the intimate set-up and great service. We spent 2+ hours there over the loadshedding period and got quite comfortable. Their burgers are flavourful and cooked to perfection. I really cannot complain about a single thing.

The food was absolutely horrible. I went this afternoon and still feel sick, I took a friend there telling her how nice the place is only to be embarrassed and disappointed because she also felt the food was horrible and her chai latte was the worst shes ever had. Never again will we be going there.

Oblivion may be a old lady but she gets better with age! In these Indian Summer days, if you are looking for an outdoor spot with a view of the mountain, delicious food (try the fettucine with wild mushrooms and pancetta) and excellent service, try out Oblivions roof top area. They have inventive drinks (like the Ice Dog which is ice cold Down Dog with a scoop of frozen Margherita).

Loved the space. Both the section downstairs and the rooftop were great. Good separation of smoking and non-smoking sections upstairs. Our waitress Kirsty was awesome, friendly and efficient.
