Its a beautiful place. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. But they charge a tip for every purchase you make at the bar. When you order a shot its always a double, they only have 4 different kinds of ciders. We didnt eat anything

I wish I could give this place a better rating because the atmosphere was fantastic and luckily made up for the long wait to be helped, and to get our drinks. The food was average. Hubby had the oxtail and enjoyed it thoroughly, I had the Lemon Chicken Breast in Quinoa which I felt could have had more flavour.

What a beautiful setting , loved the entrance. Boutique like if you will . There are stairs so please take that into account , food was presented beautifully, alcoholic beverages are fairly priced . Most of all the service was absolutely on point. It was Extremely busy, yet not one of us had to go in search of a assistance .Great music, come early and you will find parking.Smoking section outside. Awsome seating options.From the cleaning staff all the to management the experience was wonderful 🙌10/10 if you get a chance please visit this establishment. I am surly going again soon.

One of the worst experiences ever had last night. There was one slim tall guy who abused me constantly. He claimed he is an owner or whatever. I think he was drunk or either he is a bad person. I know his face very well. He was in front in the bar side by the entrance. I just preferred to leave peacefully instead of confronting. There was a nice lady who tried to stop him

One of the best clubs in Cape Town. Best DJs and great music. They also have a beautiful place and good alcohol deals.

The bouncer is very racist. We wanted to go inside and the bouncer told us we cant go inside wearing casual, a minute later while we waited for uber we witnessed 2 guys wearing casual going inside. This happened today.

Im an a regular patron here at souk but todays service was below par. I order a hookah pipe and nothing for more than 2 hours. I asked around still nothing. Tell me whats the right thing to do, do I tell speak to the manager? Its a pitty, I felt that souk was the best place to bring people to feel the cape Town spirit. I best be looking for a new place!

Overall a really vibrant scene, really to go with a small group of people. Possibly just a bit too dark with regards lighting on the inside, although we had a table outside. Enjoyed the efficiency of the bottle service.

Great place for a night out with friends. They have good food which is premium grade. They have a good atmosphere and the people are friendly. Just a side note. The alcohol is a bit expensive here so expect to spend a little more then a usual putting. The reason Im not giving a 5 star is that it can get a bit crowded.

If you’re looking for good dance music, Souk has a nice chilled lounge vibe. With that said you need to watch out for the waiters and the bartenders; on numerous occasions I’ve given a tip even though the waiters and bartenders automatically charged a tip which is included in the bill. They won’t correct you and take the extra tip. The waiters tend to make “mistakes” like bringing you the more expensive bottle, opening it so you have to pay for it, and saying they didn’t hear you. Either than that, it’s still a nice vibe.

Great food and great vibe. Good night spot for hanging out with friends, but the service is poor. Food takes long to arrive and waiters are not that attentive. Also at some point while I was there the bathrooms had no water. Very strange...

I mean I like what theyve done with this place. Its really beautiful.But it did a total 180 degree turn when they revamped. Menu changed, prices sky rocketed and it turns into a club after 8pm. 😔I miss Neighbourhood.

The hostess was not welcoming at all... instead of greeting us and assigning us to our table, she was more focused on staring down the customers behind me. Service was extremely poor. Waiters were leaning over me to clear tables... I had to hunt a waiter down to actually get our order taken... Wont be keen on visiting this place again.

If you love the night club scene you will love SOUK. It is a lounch where you can get together with friends, enjoy some delicious food and drinks and dance to music. With its moody lighting SOUK is a recommend spot

We surprised my close friend at Souk and it was a great time. We sat right next to the fireplace which is a noticeable bonus on a cold Cape Town evening.What I appreciated most about Souk was the diversity in the music selection. You were getting a little bit of everything: old school, hits, afrobeat, top 20, etc. If you want a chill evening this is a good spot to visit.

Luxurious lounge environment supplemented by sexy deep house beats and very tasty tapas made by a very creative local creative chef. Great deal on cocktails in their off hours, they always have a fire going if its cold and the lighting is intimate and sexy.

The tapas was great, the music was really good and he place is quite nice to hang out....but but.. the service is so bad so so bad...we would need to hunt down the waiter constantly....he seemed super scattered with his head in the clouds...basic orders were messed up ...the bar staff although friendly werent any better. And for a table of four people a ten percent tip is automatically added to the Bill? I know this will generally happen for large tables but 4 people?

Came here with a group of friends and the staff were friendly but theyre incompetent at their jobs. We had to keep asking for our orders more than once. Thankfully the food tasted lovely after our long wait.Also, they should consider making a dessert menu because we were keen to have some but their menu is lacking in that regard. They dont serve any desserts.

Excellent middle eastern food and a great vbe. Security was super good which added to a lovely experience. Not cheap but worth every cent.

Received some very sloppy service on a First Thursday evening.Ordered half price cocktails at 18:50 only to be told that its no longer half price, but it ends at 19:00.There was no real urgency to make you feel welcome at all.

Waiters are a bit absent minded, also reserving every table is not a thing anymore its 2019

Their Sriracha wings best chicken wings are Ive tasted in Cape Town, a must try. Burgers are decent as well.This place is well hidden on long street but is well worth exploring. Theres spacious and accommodating restaurant, balcony, bar and lounge areas.Beer selection leaves something to be desired. Their burger special was only offered with Castle which should not be the case in a place such as Cape Town with such a diverse local craft beer selection available.

Nice little bar with average bar food. Nice cocktails (watch out for their happy hours) and a great balcony to hang out in summer. Can get pretty crowded so come early if you want a place to sit down. Even though its located on Long Street you do find locals here ;-) This review got the 4th star for the location and the balcony, otherwise it would have been 3 stars only.

Their food is delicious. I especially enjoyed the lychee cocktail. I think that is the reason I go back to that place. Over the weekend they play good music and its nice to get down to the DJs tunes. I recommend this place.Go from 12 to 5pm and you will pay half price on all cocktails and tapas.

Long streets (the good side) hidden oasis. A lush vibrant space with a selection of delicious mouth watering tapas. With sweets sounds of yesteryears R&B, Latest afropop and all inbetween. The terrace gives you a birds eye view of the busy streets below. theyre open from 3pm so be sure to pop by the next time youre looking for a night out on the town

Last night, the 14th of July. A group of 14 women booked the VIP area. Throughout the night we were harassed by a drunk male who would touch us continuously. At one instance he put his hand between my breasts. This was a violation of my body and my space and should have been enough to have him removed from the club.When several of us asked him to leave us alone, he fought with us and continued gravitating towards us and harassing us. We asked the bouncers to remove him, the bouncer rather believed this drunkard than an entire group of women, when he claimed he never came near us. This is frankly unacceptable. Further more he continued to harass until the club closed. It was an absolutely horrific incident and made us feel very unsafe even though we tried to enjoy the night despite it. I beg that your institution considers this issue very seriously and stops prioritizing your drunk male patrons over the women who are just trying to have fun without harassment
