Been here for 30 minutes already. No one at the door to explain or enquire reason for visit for clients. People come in and write the details on a form and just sit anywhere until the powers that be decide to acknowledge us. The wait is not too much of a problem it is a bank after all. Though the blatant wall of silence is quite unexpected. As I write this now I see we finally have consultant walking around to ask customers their reasons for being here. Already a couple of people have left.
First time visiting this branch and I’m not impressed. Staff are uninterested in assisting. They have a row of chairs you sit on to claim your place in the queue while you wait for a consultant. Just want to fetch a card and dont want to have to wait in a long queue. Waste of time.
Do not follow covid restrictions, no covid officer either or automatic push door.Consultants or tellers not busy simply ignore there is a client in the building, there was only 2 of us. No staff at enquiries either. Teller stares at her screen, does not even look up.No point in having the branch if staff are reluctant to help.When I am finally helped, I was told I did not complete the covid form in front, but nobody was there to tell me to complete a form.Customer service is simple guys, get it right.
I an out within an hour (acceptable to me for a bank visit) all questions answered with a smile. Great experience, much better than Bayside or Canal Walk and closer to home to!
It feels like a oven in here, waiting for hours just to change my adress? Not sure whats going on, but if you find me on floor, will be from heat and exhaustion lol
Total lack of interest for assisting clients with their needs. Absolutely no service delivery and no personel to assist. How is it possible that an entire bank only has 3 personel working. Rude personell. Ill even bet they will not call me back for the poor service rating. Closing my account and moving somewhere where i will be more apreciated and respected. Kayakazi is the woman that gave me poor service.
Second attempt at this branch today. Left after sitting for abt 30 mins, 2 days ago. Queue was hardly moving. So i suggest you bring a snack along when you visit this branch. Ill be lucky if I am out in the next hour.

This is by far the worst bank branch. Standard bank Table bay should certainly be rated zero for service as its basically non existent. Its actually shocking, given how big standard bank is that they would choose to be this ignorant.I strategically arrived at 2:30 pm on the basis that banks are generally less busier in the afternoon, but I got there only to find people that had been sitting waiting for about 2 hours and fuming with frustration. 30mins into my waiting 3 customers walked out angrily without having have been attended to.I for one am definetely switching my business to another bank. Its absolutely appalling!
Disgusting must be the most disorganized branch I have ever been in. Covid queing system non existent. They do not have a clue whose turn it is.
Worst experience. You will wait for an hour before you’re acknowledged. Poor attitude by staff - Estelle especially.
Worst bank ever. Absolutely no customer service. After numerous let-downs at this branch, Ill take my business elsewhere; where my time and money is valued.
We no longer have a convenient local branch in Melkbosstrand. So we now have to drive to Tablebay Mall. Great venue on the inside quite a big branch. Unfortunately entrance is out in the cold windfront. Not great in winter as the wind slices through you out there if caught in a covid Queue. Almost no staff on the inside.Many people where all seated waiting for what seems like the only person on duty on the inside. But for the 30 minutes we were there waiting in the teller queue (just to draw a statement because the autoteller outside could not print statements). Not one staff member came out to find out what anyone needed.One guy had been waiting for over 40 minutes when we arived and none had yet approached him to find out what he is waiting for! Many people just gave up and left while we were there.There should be a queue attendant. To prioritise and allocate assistants to the people waiting. Even if just to make the customers feel as if the bank care that you are being made to wait.All the cubicals were empty of staff and o ly one teller!
Only two consultants available to assist a bank full of clients. The one consultant took 2,5 hours to deal with ONE client. I had to wait 1h50 just to collect a new Ucount card which took only 3 min! The branch manager was nowhere to be seen and apparently was working from home?? Dear sir/madam, you cant assist your clients or your staff by sitting at home. THE worst Standard Bank branch Ive even been in.

This branch is a total waste of time. The lady at the info desks first question is why you do not do it on the website. I am there because I cannot find answers on the website! Then she tells me I need to go to Bayside as she cannot help me. Then she cannot answer a question about interest (you can do it on the website!) and ask me to wait for a consultant. The consultant gets up and disappears into the back of the office. After an hour I left with no answers.

Pethetic service. Waited 30 minutes to be told this branch does not sell forex. I suggest they put a board there advertising their services or be pro active and find out why people are sitting in their branch. They also couldnt tell me what the charges would be for using my cards abroadBack again 6 months later and they really dont have a clue what they doing, was hoping they learnt something in the last 6 months. Incompetent staff at enquiries desk but this is South Africa 🇿🇦

I had a terrible experience at the enquiries counter today. The lady kept me waiting forever... after I explained to her that my card was deactivated .. Only to tell me 5 minutes later that I need to phone the call centre number... What a complete waste of time. Absolutely no manners... And a complete lack of customer service!!!🥶 😈😠. Why do you need a bank in a massive shopping mall if you treat customers like this!! Close all your banks.. since we dont need you if we can just call a number, use an app or the internet!!... Will be joining hubbys bank at FNB since he gets way better service from them!!
Went there Today there was no one to help,5 people waiting,1 person working in a cubicle,1 teller who was behind a screen so you could no see her,a man asked what was going on and she gave a very,not interested sort of reply,I just walked out after waiting at reception with no staff in sight,this is not on,terrible terrible service.
One consultant that works...No one working at the enquirer desk or attending to customers at the enquirer desk.Can wait up to an hour before seeing a consultant

Wait 20 minutes for counters after a while a staff member comes and says it will take another 30 minutes no communication no notice. No explanation just stares and walks away Absolutely poor service
