I was there yesterday for a query which got resolved shortly, they were even able to pickup fraudulent activity on my account I wasnt aware of. Unfortunately, do not remember the consultant that assisted me, but I remember his smile behind the mask, and his efficiency in making sure I walked out of the bank without further questions. The lady at the door was also a great help. Keep up the good work guys!

If you enjoy waiting in queues, this is the Standard Bank branch for you. They make Home Affairs queueing times seem lightning fast by comparison. No sign of a manager though there is a door which says Manager. I think he or she is a myth, along with Standard Banks striving to improve customer service. Pathetic. If you are new to Kenilworth Centre, Id recommend ABSA or CAPITEC (I have dealt with both). Standard Bank should be avoided like the plague (unless, of course, you love queues).

Popped into the branch recently frustrated at having to wait for money from my Luno account to clear. Was assisted by a very knowledgeable consultant, Nazeera Sayed, who signed me up on a MyMo account for instant clearance. She was helpful, patient and friendly and made the experience extremely pleasant.

I had a very good experience there yesterday. Mrs Naziera Mohamed was amazing, she sorted my problem in no time and the branch manager keeps everyone on their toes. All in all a really pleasant experience.

Great Looking Bank with helpful staff. The major let off being that you are guaranteed to wait forever. During lock down I waited 2h10min to COLLECT a replacement cheque card. Why cant this be sent to my home address instead. Virgin Money has been doing this for over 10 years already. Come on guys. How is a full time employee supposed to get 2hrs lunch to sort something so basic out.

Im very dissapointed that Standard bank hasnt taken the time to ensure their operating hours are not accurately listed on Google. Listed opening time of 8:30 is incorrect. A waste of my time and yet another dissapointing interaction with this banking group.

Ive been at this branch a few times and there are always only 2 or 1 persons at the enquiries tellers. Waiting times are ridiculously long and no one really seems to want to or know how to help you with simple requests. I usually end up being navigated to the self service phone line which is another nightmare. What a joke this branch is.

I have called 3x today to speak to someone at the Kenilworth Centre branch in Cape Town. Service was appauling and not helpful. It has been 3 hours and still no call back from the branch as per the gent on number on the webpage.

Decently looking bank. Not great service. The wait will never be less than 1.5 hours. 6 consultant booths but only two present to help at a time. Be prepared for a long wait

If you want poor customer service and a terrible banking system, then bank with standard bank business banking. If you want to be unable to feed yourself abroad, when you have sufficient money in your account, then bank with standard bank. They dont care about thier customers. Go across the way from thier front entrance if you want banking service thats actually worth paying for. If there was a half star option in this rating, it would be way too much credit. Hey Standard bank f@$#% you!

I’ve had some okay experiences and some bad. They just always seem to be understaffed at lunchtime, making it near impossible for me to do any banking admin during my lunch break from work.The one day I was on the list to see a consultant and waited over 40 minutes before I just had to leave. Only two consultants available to see. I left, and received no phone call or apology or anything, despite being on the list with my cell number there.

Standard Bank provides poor service in general and their ATM is always swallowing my card and then making me wait in a long line for a new card that should have been provided to me immediately. Standard Bank you better up your service!

Trying to get hold of your branch is a joke, firstly the call gets answered by a central exchange ( in my case, after 11 mins), then they said they would put me through to Kenilworth centre . After 15 mins of listening to a ringing tone I gave up. What a disgrace!! The staff barely answer emails.

One needs an appointment to access your safety depoisit box at Kenilworth Centre but it appears the only way to make an appointment is to go to the bank (which is not convenient as I live near Bergvliet). It has been frustratingly impossible to reach this branch by phone (I had to wait over 30 mins on the customer service line to reach a consultant, she disappeared to find the number/patch me through to the branch and 10 mins later when I put down the phone she had not returned to say what the problem was) I then attempted to send an email but this was returned undelivered!!Highly frustrated with poor service

Ive been a Standard bank customer for almost 20 years. It was my first bank account. Standard bank is rapidly becoming the worst bank to bank with. They are extremely expensive and eft from Standard bank to Standard bank takes up to 48 hrs to clear. Cant wait to get my new id so that i can move to Capitec.

A great welcoming atmosphere gives false hope.I cancelled a 32 day noticie plan more than 32 days ago, when i emailed to enquire about it, i was told to come to kenilworth branch, no reason or explanation given. i go there to find out my account was not closed and i sat another hour closing it again. Funny thing, they tried to get me to reinvest my money with them lol I almost choked. I was advised the money would be avail later that day or next day, its 2 days later and still nothing. And no call from the agent to assited me. I think im going to switch banks completly ratherDissapointed

Worst branch in Capetown. Slow service and empty counters as far as the eye can see. Enquiries takes about 40 minutes per person. I went to change my proof or address and I left needing a funeral plan because I am going to die soon.
