Absolutely slow service, at this point I think a staff of sloths would be able to do a better job! After sitting for an hour, I was informed that what service I wanted could only be done at another teller... of which there was only two for the entire that I was waiting. Atleast two other people complained that they were waiting too long and that the branch should have more people working the tellers, only to be told You just have to wait. Disgusting!!!!

Shocking service. Dont care attitude... no staff to assist.After 20 minutes of sitting to collect a new bank card (only 4 other people in the entire branch) and no one being served, I went back to reception to find out what the problem is and how much longer I would need to wait. I was told at least another 30 mins..

Very disappointed with the slow service at the inquiries desk ,only two or three to help wile you sit for 60 min to be helped with your inquiry and dont hold covid as a exquisite for the slow service.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! i was turned away because supposedly only ONE person in the entire branch there could help me with my query, but unfortunately, she was off sick. how do you offer a service that can only be done by one person out of such a huge staff??? appalling and extremely disgusting service.

We explained why we came at reception. We waited AN HOUR to see a customer service person. Then we are told by her that my mother must apply for another account. Before she did not have problems with her savings accounts. But then her things were handled by Hartenbos branch. Now Tableview branch handles her account.Now we are waiting another 20 min already! No one to help.I did explain to them my Mom has dementia and have broken ribs, so she is not in a good condition.The query we would like to get solved- why do Absa charge her so many R4 service fees? I draw her money and always at n Absa Atm outside the shops. So, she is 77 years old- why does she have to pay R4 when drawing cash. And she only draw cash about 4- 5 times a month! From her savings account. In Mosselbay that was never a problem. But in Tableview it is. What should I do?My mother cannot sort out these problems any more.Is any one concerned about there customers in Tableview? Or is a 77 year old lady not important enough?

What awful customer service. I checked the hours of business on the ABSA Tableview branch website which stated 09:00- 12:00. I got there at 5 past 11 only to be told the branch was closed despite there being people in a queue outside. When I raised the fact that the website said 12 closure on Saturdays I was instructed to look at an A4 notice on the window stating operating hours were now 08:00 - 11:00. When I queried why this was not indicated on the website I was told they didnt know and I must just come back on monday by Akhona Loliwe. On requesting to speak to the manager it took all of 15 minutes for her to drag herself outside to tell me and other customers that she couldnt help and we should have read the A4 notices. Akhona Loliwe and Liezel Biggs you definitely do not represent the ABSA brand and you are in dire need of further customer service training. ABSA you are quick to make deductions for various bank charges how about you get more diligent by updating your websites on new operating time??!!

Realy bad bank, I see a few good reviews for this branch which really surprised me, because I encountered a unprecedented level of incompetence and unprofessionalism. To start with, it is a gargantuan task just to get them to answer the phone, you can then leave a message for whoever you meant to talk to because nobody is ever in... You will not be called back unless you start at 09:00 and keep on calling until past 14:00. This branch has no respect for customers at all and will greet you with a warm smile and attentive attitude, just to turn around and screw up anything more complicated than a savings account to such a point that you start wondering about the safety of your money. Should you try to speak to the branch manager you get blocked of like a naughty child, and I am not sure if this person is aware of the problems that the customer is having. I usually keep my bad opinions to myself, but I feel that this institution should sharp up because of the deep impact that they can have on a persons life. Please ABSA Bayside, your people are incompetent, uninformed and unsuitable to handle other peoples income and life savings, start looking at the complaints of the public now, because while you rake in the big business, you are leaving wrecks in your wake.

As with any other branch, they dont answer their phones, have the wrong open times on their websites, and just general utter incompetence. My theory still stands: the only reason to visit an ABSA branch is to close your account.

I have not received friendly service or help at this branch. The person who as supposed to help me today had a oh sorry I cant help you with that attitude. Never have I ever had to struggle with ABSA as much as Ive had to struggle at this branch

Walked in two open a bank account and 20min later I am still waiting to be helped and give my business to ABSA. Seems to be only one consultant and it looks like it’s going to take another 20min. Time to move all my banking somewhere else as time is money but ABSA doesn’t seem to understand that

Unfortunately the ATMS never work properly when it comes to cash deposits they either reject the deposit due a supposed chip damaged or just dont offer the facility although advertising as a cash accepting machine!!!! I have reported to customer services but the clever attendant said there was nothing wrong with my card??? NO ITS YOUR ATM!!!! Always have to then go to Bayside Mall where that ATM never fails me!!!

Worst service ever. I have a business account with ABSA but cannot speak to anyone other than the receptionist. I have called multiple times to arrange a meeting, left my details for a call back and been into the branch 3 times without being given the opportunity to speak to a banker regarding my growing business. Utterly disgusted.

Always friendly staff. Willing to help you.BUT : There is just ONE problem that i would like to bring to the attention of the public. Too bad people. In fact ABSA BANK does not make provision for disable people for parking at this particular branch. People park on disable parking but walk in the opposite direction to bayside mall. What happened to fines and wheel clamping.

We went into the bank in Feb, waited an hour and 45 minutes to see the consultant to solve the problem. End of Feb came and the problem was not sorted. We went back in today at 8:00 the manager said she`ll sort it. Then went to stand in the queue to change my address. Stood in that queue for 45 minutes seen a consultant who sent me back to the queue because she can`t do it. Seen another consultant to the same avail. Stood for another 20 minutes in the queue till my blood boiled over. Been with them for over 10 years, believed it was the best bank but they like to take money but not sort out problems. ABSA you didnt`t get your act together and just lost a customer. We are closing the account.

The service is fantastic and professional, quality! The only drawback is that they do not have enough staff to move the queue fast so you wait a serious while inside there, but the service alone is enough for a four-star rating.

Terrible bank, be prepared to sit in a queue for at least an hour or two. My advice, change to FNB!!! Online banking restrictive and unhelpful, call center transfer you to operator after operator only to tell you you have to go to the branch. Horrible banking experience

Highly annoyed with the services here. Wanted to see a consultant. They made me wait in a que for an hour only to be told that I was with customer services and not a consultant. I then had to join a que to see a consultant. Please train your staff in directing people to the right place . Couldnt even chat to the branch manager because she was too busy with one client for hours. Will definitely be changing banks as this is not the first time I have received poor service. Well done again Absa for poor services rendered .

My Debit and Credit cards was sent to the Tableview branch and I have been trying for weeks to find out if my cards are there. Everytime they took my number and never phoned me back. My cards are now expired and I cannot speak to someone to find out about my cards. Over the weekend I actually got stuck because of the inability to pay for fuel. Even the lady from the Absa Card division could not get through to them. Seems to me Absa Tableview is like a black hole.
