Today had to FICA a club account. Received extremely professional service from the consultant, Mr Wayne KayderGot free parking, was welcomed by a courteous security, guided upstairs by another helpful employee, and the lady manning the reception saw my tshirt and said you must be with the karate people and directed me where to go.A rather pleasant experience and kudos to the staff.

Visited ABSA today. Customer Services said I had to register my password at a kiosk!!No direction was given. Certainly couldnt find a kiosk Communication and help from the assistant was minimal to say the least. She just walked awayWas shown the way by the young man taking temperatures.

One star is not even what this bank deserves. It deserves no star. On Saturday the 11th June, the bank was suppose to open at 08h00, but customers were told that the person who is supposed to open the bank overslept, hence he/she is late. Which is really pathetic and ridiculous.The bank ended up opening very late. Poor service for that laziness.

I went to this branch to change my adress. As customer service was busy , the queue was outside the bank. My wife was in front of me as she also had some business to do. After about 30 min, she went in and had to join a queue of four inside. She sat for about an hour, during which there was no movement. The one assistant was busily with one client during the entire time. During this hour, the second assistant was sitting with some papers, appearing to be busy, while the queue outside went to about eight people with some having left. She then got up, went to a colleague in an office and spent 29 minutes talking then came out and made a call for the rest of the time. My wife came out and we left. The service and attitude of these assistamts were pathetic.

The best ABSA bank branch in Cape Town. Whether Im in the southern suburbs or northern suburbs, I will make the drive to this branch and highly recommend this to other ABSA account holders. Ive only ever experienced, fast, friendly service here - from the staff member standing outside to greet you, the receptionist who points you in the right direction, to the consultant who does the rest.

ABSA Claremont sent me a text to collect a card from the branch. I waited just over an hour to be attended to and the collection then took less than five minutes. This had nothing to do with covid but a lack of staff.The response to my complaint was very poorly handled. Terrible service!

On the 10th October I was told by Gail Thompsons the Branch Administrator that my private banker does not work on weekends.After I received a brilliant sales pitch that I would have a 24/7 365 dedicated banker to attend to my requirements.Well thats a massive neglect to customer service. Absolutely disgusted.Tried calling banker whos number is no longer available??? Seriously Absa is this what your service has come too.Further to that, I was there to collect a new card because Absa has migrated from mastercard to Visa. So Im standing in line from 10:30 when Gail Thompsons comes and says 11am the bank is now closed sorry we cannot help anyone further. What????Im here to collect a card because Absa decided to make a decision which impacts your profiled customer then you go and chase your customer away!!!!To top it all off, Absa then calls me to tell me they need to block my existing card.... Guys I havent even received my new one because your Claremont Branch Administrator decided she cannot attend to me.Im at the point where Id rather move my assets elsewhere, seeing that I cannot gain access to anything.Call the support service, they say my banker should see to my request. Call the banker and his phone number no longer exist. Come to the branch and the branch administrator chases your customers away!!! What has Absa become?!?!?!Strongly recommend I receive feedback and urgent attention to customer service, especially your branch in Claremont.

This branch has the kindest consultants and workers! I had to sort out my banking app and switch cards and everyone was helpful and friendly! Nadine is the sweetest consultant ever! The wait times were a little bit long but we are still in a pandemic so it’s completely understandable and all COVID protocols were followed.

This branch is great! This review is more a rant about their app. Most apps allow you to pay a license fee and then remove adds. I pay lots of lots of money to Absa in the form of transaction and account fees (far more than any other bank).Why is is that I must still be pushed adverts for things like funeral policies over their app???

I walked in 10 minutes before close to pick up forex. Normally banks won’t assist you at that time with foreign exchange. They also don’t allow you to collect if your employer has arranged the foreign exchange for you. Quick and easy and very professional.

Im very disappointed in the poor service I have received from this branch. I came to see Wayne on 20 June to open a Trust account and to change signatory on a business account I inherited. To today, 10 September, nothing has been actioned. I have sent Wayne numerous emails to follow up that has gone unanswered. This is unacceptable. I have been an ABSA client my entire life. Im in the process of investing to move my entire personal and business portfolio over to Mercantile bank.

I just really dont like absa due to the exorbitant amount of fees they charge you for any transaction you do really, also the operational flow is really poor, 2 attendants that serve 30 people and having fat chats before serving the next customer. Sorry absa
