Coming from cape town this is the first major service station on the N1 national road offering convenience store with restaurant, rest rooms, etc.Extremely busy as it also serves as a truck and bus pitstop.

Wow, shockingly bad service. Staff staring into space not helping the line of people backing up. Finally a woman helps me. Im at tge baking section ordering pies. Shes vacantly staring into space whilst um helping me. I order a cheese and pepper pie. I check twice that its vegetarian, she nods. Then I wat her put a steak and kidney pie into a bag again I explain that Im vegetarian. After another attempt at giving me a neat pie, she eventually bags the cheese pies. Except when we break them open to double check it were neat pies. So we still had nothing to eat. Such terrible service. Avoid.

Excellent service. While putting air in my Tyres, the attendant noticed my one tyre had a nail in. Without any fuss, a team of guys put my spare Tyre on. Unfortunately I only got one of their names. To Ricardo and team thank u!! Your efficiency and friendliness made my day.

I am disgusted by the service of the petrol station, I put in petrol on 2 April 2021, the petrol attended seemed distracted though. After he put in fuel, I left, then today I went to engen garage in Eersteriver, then I was told I have no fuel cap, since this garage was my last location, I called the garage, I was told they have my fuel cap. I drove all the way from Eersteriver to fetch the fuel cap, all I was told from one of the managers was Sorry, no reimbursement for the fuel I wasted to fetch the fuel cap. It was extremely dangerous driving without a fuel cap, so I would not recommend this place to anyone.

There was a car stop by of vintage cars on a Sunday.. the place was amazing and full of life toilets are clean and there is a wimpy .Coffee isnt so great .. There is a wide variety of food stuff to choose from .. this is a perfect for people who are travelling far and wide in this direction..

Very popular fuel stop. You may have to wait at busy times, which seems to be most of the time. I rather try to plan my fuel stops at somewhere less busy.

Bought a sausage roll there yesterday the sausage was dry like droe wors n the pastry was dry n rock hard .. dont know what that code stands for 2127 but what a waste of money .

Friendly pump attendant. Requested him to add 500ml oil. All good so far. Tipped him. When arrived home discovered his fingerprints all over the bonnet from the oil. A small thing which was totally unnecessary.

Wort ever truck stop... only to be woken by security and threatend to have wheels clamped .. because we are standing in a reserved area for PKM transport... however NO signs or barricades to indicate that ... spoke to a worker there. only to be told the owner wil not spend money on marking rented areas ... been using it as fill up and sleepover for months on end ... NO More !!!!!!!!

This is the worst place to stop and have a meal when you have small kids. The kids area is as a forgotten place, with broken entertainment and bus stop benches for seating. Not a place to stop if you want to relax before continuing your journey. The staff was friendly, but the facility is lacking. Horrible experience and would discourage any one with small children to stop there. Management just dont care about you or you children.

Engen N1 is conveniently located half way between the city of Cape Town and the beginning of the wine lands, the Wimpy is always a great stop to refresh and have their amazing value bacon and eggs! Please remove your old curry mince vetkoeke from the shelves. Its been 3 weeks now any everytime i stop there i thinknok this time it wil be fresh and then im stuck with an ou vetkoek. Nee man !!

The place is good and I found the service to be standard. The bad thing is your pump attendant who is cleaning around and asking for money from motorists. He also asked if we can take his passengers to Joburg.was very much embarrassed by him.On the name badge his name is Sparks.

Worse service ever! Both Wimpy and the 1 stop till personell can not communicate propperly! Sent me back THREE times to change my food and drink because it is not part of the special! Please tell your employees to SPEAK LOUD AND CLEAR.

I was waiting at the front of the line at the cashiers for a dew minutes. One of the cashiers just stood there doing nothing. I asked her whether she was open and she just looked at me. After one of the other tills went open and I proceeded to the other till. Just as I walked to the till, the cashier said “next” to the customar behind me. Her client relations is terrible and I feel bad for the people working with such an inefficient person. Probably won’t go there again because of her bad attitude.

This is a good place for a great meal. I love everything about Wimpy. If u are looking forward to grab a snack before you hit the road out of Cape Town along N1, then this is a great place to stop.

Easy to get in to refuel (re-gas) and exit. there is a restaurant inside for those who need a breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is also a convenience store inside.

Always a good stop when travelling on the N1 to get something to eat or drink. Or a quick bathroom break. I have been there many times and it is always neat, clean and friendly staff.

One of the busiest petrol stations on the N1 and here I saw women cleaning out the trash cans with a mere rubber glove! No PVC Shoulder length gloves, no decent plastic aprons to protect them from the filth they have to deal with. Surely management can afford to equip their staff properly to deal with a really unsavoury task? Just wondering......

Good location with Wimpy restaurant. Pity the service is slow in the forecourt. Management should really be out there to notice how slowly the attendants work. It is as if they delibirately do everything as slowly as possible. Wonder if they are competing to break the longest line of waiting cars record👎👎👎

Great service, all staff are friendly and always there with full attention for when you new assistance.There is also a safe play area for kids, can have lunch or buy snacks and cool drinks and coffee on the go.

A large service station on the N1 just outside of Stellenbosch. Its large yet not too busy. The amenities are all good with a large shop and restaurant.

This place service sucks attendants are very judgemental towards clients when i come with my chev utility bakkie attendants dont greet and wont offer to clean my windows as this is the stop point for hitting the long road but when i pull up in my focus st they quick to jump and offer assistance clean windows make small talk etc etc happens everytime. Tellers inside are friendly tho

Pathetic when we got there they told us to sit anywhere we want. We wated 20 min for menus so we went an got it ourselves. When the waiter finally came se wasnt very friendly. We oderd burger and chips and coke but they came back and told us that they ran out of chips. The coke they brought us tastes funny and the glasses where dirty. Wont be going back to the wimpy.

Had a bad service at this station on the 28th January 2019. The attendant who was a lady had a bad attitude. I asked for water for the car and she just turned away without even responding to my greetings! I proceeded to ask a guy who as well just pointed the water bucket and ignored me. I will never ever stop at that station!

Always busy because it is so well managed. Great Wimpy breakfasts with real filter coffee. Sharp, switched-on staff.

We travel to a new destination every month - if were headed up the N1 highway - this is our traditional stop. Wimpy coffee and muffins :) i love the fact that they have a water and food bowl outside for the fur babies too.

Not enough credit card machines so people are queueing to fill up! Its 2019, get your technology sorted out!

Very convenient when you forget to fill up before leaving Cape Town! And the Wimpy Dagwoods are great, but unfortunately their cappuccinos dont match Woolies!

I have attempted to use this filling station more than once, there is always a queue and beware do not arrive between 17:50 and 18:10, that is a shift change or something, expect to wait to get some acknowledgement and then to get service might take a lot longer. Not recommended, try to either fill in town or at the next stop.
