A horrible experience just to fix a broken chord of an awning. Inexperienced, inefficient, unpunctual and after three weeks we are still waiting. Also, an irreplacable piece of artwork was smashed and after claiming a minimum amount from Solara they say they are not insured for such damages we should claim from our own insurance. I would never recommend this company to any person.
The company has been using Solara Awnings for many years but our recent experience has left us with the opinion that we will not be using them again. It took months for the awning to be installed in 2019 and since then it has had to be fixed twice. We have tried to contact the company several times as the awning has once again ripped but have had no response from them. Communication from them over this entire experience was not great. Would not recommend using them.

Took 9 months to install, 8 attempts to fix issues. Still not fixed, Roof still leaking, roller blind stops broken, spacers rusting, poor installation, no reply on complaints - stay away!!!!!
Avoid at all costs! Ordered one small awning to be installed above our showroom entrance in JHB. Deposit paid on 3 June - today is 22 July and still no awning, refuse to refund the deposit, or return my calls, and just keep saying it is with the sign writers. Extraordinary poor on all levels.
Absolute nightmare to deal with, zero customer service, zero response from the owner and best avoided at all costs!
