I have not reviewed a place in a few years (Since Covid) and as some of the staff at Reeds may recall a client too busy to drop off & collect a vehicle, i thought a review is the least i could do to show my appreciation. I must be honest i am a loyal VW fan however have to credit where credit is due. The Sales & after sales service at Reeds Bellville is the best i have experienced thus far. The amazing thing for me is that this level of service & customer driven satisfaction approach is prioritized by every single staff member (Something not often found in modern society). Well done !!!

I tried buying a vehicle from these guys but found that the management was not willing to engage or give clarity on mismatched panels (different shades of white) or the fact that standard accessories that had clearly been removed from the vehicle. Disappointing service experience. Will not be back. With the motor industry where it is, a large group like this surely cannot afford such sub par practices.

They are unreliable in the parts and sale.I have been phoning them in the last two day of getting a part that I requesting from sale.The lady at the desk talking calls has even taken my details to call me back but no joy on that. Bought a 2nd hand vehicle in Feb this year, car had an oil leak which required several assessments and tests to be undertaken. However, Reeds Bellville ensured I remained mobile throughout, with the provision of their courtesy vehicles.Furthermore, they incurred all costs for repairs and ensured that the vehicle was in optimal condition. At present I am extremely happy customer of Reeds Bellville.Thank you Jacques, Fabian and Kurt.

Why is it that whenever my car comes back from from a service with Reeds it appears to have bigger problems when i go pick it up. When in for Service and now stop start on the car not working. Previously went in for a service then most of my lights on the car was not working. They were very polite and decent and helpful when I purchase my cars from them, but after that service was really bad and in some cases non existent.

Shocking, shocking service. If it was an isolated incident, I would possibly not be this irritated and angry, BUT you never fail to exceed my expectations when it comes to bad service. It clearly comes from the top as the dealer principal does not even bother to return messages or emails. I dont believe I will ever support Reeds again.

The below was my initial review - it was just a vague summary of what I went through. I gave Reeds Bellville a 1-star rating as a result. As you can see, they contacted me and tried to remedy the very poor and blatantly rude service I had received from their sales consultant, Christiaan de Wet. I was also very quickly contacted directly by the Sales Manager, and a plan was made to sort out the issues with my car. I appreciate that there was an active attempt to remedy the damage that had been done by Christiaan. As a result, I have changed my rating.The after-sale service is absolutely shocking and has left me angry and despondent. I was treated amazingly until they received payment. Every single issue which I have needed attended to after-sale, I have been treated like an annoyance that they want to get rid of and you are their lowest priority. So I suppose I would recommend them as long as you require nothing from them whatsoever after they have your payment.

“Give that man a Bell’s” is what I need to tell Sybrand van Wyk’s manager!! We received, not only, excellent service but kindness, patience and such knowledge regarding the vehicles details. Sybrand is an asset to the business and its people like him that make a customer return!! We literally visited all the other manufacturers dealerships in previous weeks and each time we referred back to the awesome service from Sybrand! I bought a car here recently and received decent service initially, but on the day the car was supposed to be picked up, one of their drivers scratched the side of the car against something and all of them are denying it. Now they have to take their time doing repairs first. Ive been happier.

Worse experience ever took my chevrolet cruze 2009 for service, for the first time in their branch the first day of service it came back with an engine warning light that it never showed before, took the car to them back 3 times, but the issue was never resolved instead they wanted me to pay more money and the claimed that the car is not a new model so the problem could have occurred anytime and the Manger had the audecity to tell many people drive with that on for many years its not a train wreck but what puzzled me was the fact that the car never showed me an engine warning light before, but the very same day of service it came back with the light, and the car has been giving me problems ever since it cuts power and shows code 84 I am so disappointed with reeds bellville infact I am beyond disappointed worse part a friend of mine warned me about them but I just wanted to give them a benefit a doubt

This is one of Reeds brach i receive poor service and dishonest from their service staff. I booked my car for service which after collecting it i notice that is leaking oil as a result of their mess. I report it and they ask me book it again which i did and on the day of service no one was working on my car and their reasons was my car need 6 hours to be fix but no one call me during the day to explain it i only heard about it when i went to the branch. I took my car with leaking oil since they where considering those new clients who are going to pay

Highly recommend Williams Hunt (REEDS). Very professional service. Easy to make an appointment (do so well in advance as they are quite busy). Their book-in process is so easy and quick. It takes no more than 15 minutes to bring in your car and be on your way. Friendly staff, they keep you posted by sms during the day when your car is in their workshop. You are designated a service adviser when booking in your car, so communication is personal and efficient. They even called me a day after my service to inquire if I was happy with their service and if the repairs were satisfactory.

Amazing service from the Reeds Bellville (used cars)!Jeandres service was amazing from start to finish. I was kept well informed by the whole team.A minor issue was present on the Vehicles tail light after i bought it, Jeandre had it seen to with no hassles and Reeds settled the bill and i was not charged a cent. He also obliged to have me collect my car after hours.i would highly recommend this dealership to anyone. Superb quality used vehicles and they go the extra mile for their clients!

Very disappointing. I took my car in for a service and was quoted 8k for a minor service and additional repairs. Since the cost was not feasible, I declined the additional repairs and then saw an obvious change in their behaviour towards me. The service adviser completely ignored me when I went to fetch my vehicle and I was left waiting unattended to. They also charged me almost R100 to fix my park light and it still did not work after I received my car. I have never received such poor service. They also seem to have very few service advisers, who are not equipped to handle the volume of vehicles coming in and still be able to focus on the client experience.

Extremely disappointed. As of this moment, already had to take my car back 6 times after my regular check up service. Now they say I may have to return for a 7th time. Car seems to be returned with another and another problem after they had it... Would you be happy with service like that? Unfortunately only gerage that service Opel in Cape area. Reviews of this garage is NEEDED. Investigate and improve people, please. Or give us other options for other gerages. We cant keep struggling like this.

Sales floor looks good but the parts and service department needs attention, broken partitions, peeling and chipped counter tops. Cars are about 20% over priced but better than VW. Parts are really expensive about 40% over priced, thats why a lot of people are buying generic parts.

Efficient start to the morning as always.Not that great afterwardsCant phone anybody as 3 service agents and a service manager cant seem to answer their phone.If you try to leave a message that also doesnt work - so dont waste your time.Booking was also messed up because the agent messed it, apparently next week Wednesday is the same as this WednesdayGood luck if you come here, I swear Im going to sell my vehicle so that I dont have to keep up with this.Past experience also wasnt great as I needed to take whole of 7 workings off, on sporadic days, so they can fix the same issue that they didnt fix properly the first time.The kicker is all I wanted to check is that my vehicle is good and that the original issue that took 7 days to fix is still not an issue. So that when they phone me at the end of the day it isnt an unexpected thing. So that I can be more informed.

Took my wife’s car in for a service. They phoned and quoted around R7500 for replacing two brakes that were supposedly very close to needing replacement. We decided to not get the brakes done yet.A week after the service the car wouldn’t start. Took it to Best Drive to have it checked out; the battery was completely flat. Figured we’d do the brakes with Best Drive while we were there. They charged around R2500 for the brakes but said that the brakes still had about 5000kms left in them.On top of that, Best Drive let me know both rear shocks were leaking. Asked Reeds why they only told us about the brakes and not the battery or shocks. The response was that we should have asked them to check it; it’s not standard procedure to check anything not explicitly stated in the job card.Not sure if I’m just naive, but when I take a car to a dealership I assume they do a basic check for potential issues. Nope.The shocks were extremely obviously defective, with fluid leaking down - impossible to miss while checking the brakes (ironically, we never asked them to check the brakes).So in the end we took the car back to get the shocks sorted. Initially was told the shocks were out of warranty (3 years or 80 000km, the car is a 2015 model with 59 000km on the clock). Asked to speak to a manager and, to his credit, he replaced the shocks through Opel as the leaking is a factory defect.Needless to say we’re very disappointed. Since the shocks were a warranty issue, they were conveniently ignored. They suggested we replace the brakes immediately even with thousands of kms of use left and they didn’t bother doing a basic 3 minute check on the battery because “we didn’t ask them to”.I would caution against using them for anything not covered in the service plan and explicitly ask them to do checks for obvious issues. Rather use Best Drive, TWT or the like.

I am shocked at the terrible client service and expertise of this dealership. This is the first time I have purchased an Opel (usually a Honda person) and my fan on my newly purchased Opel Astra does not work. After Reeds in Belville had my car for a week they could not find the problem or should I say couldnt be bothered to find the problem. My thinking is that this was taking a little too long for their convenience. After servicing my car and a week later I went down to fetch my car after not hearing from Reeds. On collection the radio and clock was not set to work again and they had to be reminded to sign the service book. In the past month both my husband and I have phoned numerous times asking when the technical person would be there to look at the fan, but nobody has returned our calls. Shocking service Opel, your dealership is a shocker and although I love my Opel I think in future I will stick to Mekor Motors.

My car has been there for 2 WEEKS!!!!!! They HAVEN’T STARTED working on it, thus can’t tell me what’s wrong with it. The reason? They said they took in too much work. Every time I phone, they are busy and say someone will phone me back. Thus for 2 weeks now, no news, no car! If there is ANYONE that reads this and works there, can YOU PLEASE GIVE ME AN UPDATE! Or at least let me know so I can take my car someplace else...

Try N1 City or Tygervalley but not Belleville. Youll regret trust me. My car parked there for a week without even being attended to check what could be the problem. And no one bothers to call and explain what is happening. If you dont ask and make a follow up, i believe you will stay a month without a car. Is that a customer service?

The Frontline lady on the board sound like she is doing you a favour.No-one calls back. This is really NOT what I expected.The Dealer Principle is never available to even consider complaining to.If this is what service is, I will certainly rethink buying a GM product ever again.

I called in just get a price on a part and the service i got was appalling. Keenan in parts helped me and asked for a vin number of the car. I told him i dont have it with me but provide me with a price (ballpark) and wont keep him to it . he eventually gave it and i said thank you and asked him how how i got to the price and he said it wont be accurate and then he threw the phone down -no goodbye whats so ever please get staff on call that has manners or start teaching them PHONE ETIQUETTE

I simply cannot understand why the system cant pick up warrenty and service plans more than 3 years. Wasted half a day, no serviced car. Then when i came i had to wait for more authorisation.. 2:30 still waiting and car hasnt been serviced. Dont think i would return to this branch with so little communication. If OPEL could update their system that would be great but Im not impressed today.

Weve had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with this dealer and they are pathetic to say the least. Emails dont get answered......calls are being ignored doesnt matter how many times one leaves a message. The attitude of the service manager or workshop manager is also pathetic to say the least....they just dont show ANY interest in helping solving our cars problem......after 3 weeks all of a sudden now they are emailing Opel SA about the issue....for crying in a bucket you should be on the bloody phone getting an engineer out if your technicians are not able to find the problem on the car meanwhile we as the clients are struggling to get to work in the morning with only one car as your dealership cant apparently provide the client with a courtesy car having all sorts of excuses which is frankly my dear not my problem......I expect better service seeing as this is a R400k car WITH a factory warranty and service plan / maintenance plan. Opel SA is not better, they also dont react to phone calls or emails or facebook messages..... This WAS and IS and WILL BE our last Opel product....as we moved from BMW to Opel because of bad service, but after experiencing Opel SAs service and in particular Reeds I would rather go back to BMW - at least they give you a car from the dealer floor if needs be and keeps you informed, hell I would rather drive a Datsun GO...!!!!

They overcharged me for brake pads and other car parts. Apparently they do this to reach their monthly targets, I was told this by an insider. Its sad, because the staff are friendly, so the service wasnt all bad. But Ill never go back.

I have purchased a brand new Chevrolet Cruze 2016 model with William’s Hunt Bellville in June 2016. In December 2016, the car had an issue with the gears and was taken into William’s Hunt in Bellville. I was not satisfied as I was stuck at home without a car for days during holidays. I had to cancel my trip to a wedding in the Eastern Cape and I only got home on Christmas day. The dealer did not arrange a curtesy car as I was told that only if my car has been taken in for more than a week would I get a curtesy car. The dealer told me that the issues were sorted and that my car was ok even though I still experienced difficulty with the reverse gear after this incident. When I took the car in for a service in February 2017, I advised the dealer that I still struggle with the gears. They advised that again the issue was checked and fixed. Again on 05 April I have experienced the same problem, While I was driving to work, the gears did not want to go in and the car kept slowing down until it stopped while I was driving on the road. This is extremely unsafe and puts my life in danger The car was towed in and the dealer told me that the clutch must be replaced and I must pay in R13000 to have it replaced. As the car was serviced in approximately a month from this time, the clutch was not diagnosed as problematic or that it might fail.I advised the dealer that I cannot be held liable for the repairs as it is evident that the clutch kit failed due to the reoccurring gears problem which I have advised the dealer of more than once. The dealer advised that I must pay for the parts to be removed and sent away for testing and reinstated in order to determine the course of the failure of the clutch to which I refused. The matter was escalated to GMSA. It has been a battle to get a conclusive feedback and the GMSA agents I dealt with including one of the Managers blatantly ignored my request to have feedback in writing, and when I requested direct contact numbers of the person who was dealing with the case, I was only provided with a call centre number. I was also advised that the parts will be removed and sent to PE for testing, which has not yet happened. GMSA is saying they awaiting information from William’s Hunt. William’s Hunt is saying they are awaiting authorisation from GMSA. As it stands, my car has been with William’s Hunt for two weeks but there is no conclusive feedback as to the way forward. As I was left stranded without a car I have had to use a rental car ever since as it is not clear when I will get my car back. There is no sense of urgency to resolve the issue on both William’s Hunt and GMSA. I am utterly unsatisfied that a new car purchased in June 2016 has already caused me so much grief. The clutch is new and I am not an inexperienced driver, therefore the clutch should not be wearing so quickly. Over and above this, I have not been provided with any alternative transport on both occasions while I have been paying my instalments in full. I am paying for a new car but I am experiencing a second hand car. Further to this, my Employer is paying me a car allowance therefore it is not only an inconvenience to myself to not have a car but it is affecting my work deliverables as I am unable to attend meetings. Sadly on 26 April, the debit order for my instalment will go through for a car that I have not had since 05 April 2017 and no one is doing anything about that.

I want to thank Fabian Walker for his excellent customer service. I must admit, I usually have to get really upset before getting half decent service but He has pleasantly surprised me. I am in customer service myself and have always expected the same treatment I would give my customers. Sadly , I have always been disappointed. Until I met Fabian, his service exceeded my expectations. Fabian has made every interaction with Reeds a very pleasant one. Well Done Fabian! This is the type of people we need.... Always putting the customer first and going that extra mile. This is how you get and keep customers.
