Have been taking my BMW to Mace for its annual service for around 8 years and have never been unhappy. I have always experienced excellent customer satisfaction - and the team gives honest feedback, even if its a loss of business for them - for example when they say that part X is waring very thin, but it can last another couple of months, if bills are a bit tight.In contrast, because maybe Im not just easy to please, I would never use Auric Auto ever again.

Exorbitant Quote for Radiator Replacement.Mace gives good service and I trust their work as this was the second time I serviced my car there.Having said that though, Im a little skeptical over a quote I received to replace my radiator which came to roughly 12k..!?Received two quotes from Radiatorkings and Silverton to replace my radiator and they were a fraction of the price both not more than R2800 for the part and for labor SO I dont understand why there is such a big difference in price.=====================================================So, took my car to KC Auto in Kenilworth the very next day to run a full diagnostics and to pressure test the cooling system and to my surprise, no leaks were found and my radiator does not need replacement.I challenge this establishment to provide comment here to give me a breakdown of costs of the quote I received and to tell me why they quoted me to replace my Radiator when it was not faulty.I attached the quote that I received via a whatsapp message but Ive written it down here along with the quotes I received from Masterparts in Kenilworth :Radiator Parts:- Radiator (Master Parts R1108. 00)- Expansion Bottle (R450 online search)- Antifreeze (R50)- Multibelt (Master Parts R195)Service- Lube Service (Oil Lube & Oil filter Change )- Labour (Service + Labor came to R1931, 00)Total R11 946.00Silverton & Radiatorkings included the pressure test, coolant and labor into their quote SO I still find it difficult to justify the 10k+ quote, never mind quoting me on a part that wasnt even faulty!This borders on fraudulent and Ive lost my trust in this establishment.Your rating went from 3 to an underserving 1!

Had an issue with my VW sorted out and had good customer service. shop looks clean and tidy , and busy which means it must be a good place if many people are using them.

Exceptional service from the moment I called - with a last minute booking, and was still “squeezed in”Nothing but professional and sincere advise, something lost in this day and age. It’s worth mentioning I am also in the motor trade and very few of my own suppliers provide such great service.I cannot reccomend Mace enough.

Would rate them half a star if i could. How can a diagnostics cost R701.00! Daylight robbery.On collecting the car the bonnet was left open (thank goodness it was noticed before driving away) and the cars aerial was in the passenger seat.Poor at getting back to you, and ignore instructions regarding costs etc. This is the second time its happened.Rather take a drive out to Goch & Cooper.

Paid over a total of R4600 to chip and tune when I was quoted r2800. Clear daylight robbery. When you going to do extra work which wasnt done you need to contact the customer to discuss the additional charges, incorrect information was given to me about my engine light as well. After the tune my car was switching off while idling. The guy who tuned my car said the regulator wasnt installed correctly yet he proceeded with the tune and just told me you might have to retune instead of correcting the regulator setup and tune it one time. Not a happy customer at all. Very disappointed after all the good things I have heard about this company.

My Experience of Mace...Multiple times that I had to beg for quotes, once had to wait up to 2 weeks with Multiple emails before a quote was received.They couldnt fit the bonnet shock that was bought from their suggested supplier, but the supplier who is a sales man could fit the shock?Replaced brakes and pads as per their suggestion but brakes warning light is still on.The brand new CV boot they put in had to be replaced only 2 months later again, and after the last work I had done all of a sudden my control arms are making a noise?Fixing the PCV leak with cable ties... not to mention the press stick job to seal the dipstick leaking air?I will gladly work with Herman again, he tuned one of my S13s and even helped me out after hours once. Great guy and friendly. Will gladly support him if he breaks away from MaceSo to sum up... Herman with they dyno section, 5 STARS EASY...The rest of the garage.... Honestly dont know how they can still be open and doing business or how anyone that cares about their car can still go there.

My car was tuned by Naeem. He discovered a misfire and advised what the problem was. After a new ignition coil and spark plug lead was installed he finished off the tune and I was really satisfied with the the results. Mace was recommended to me and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their car Dyno tuned.
