I dropped my 5 yr old granddaughter for ballet class. I am truely in awe what they do for the children. Its just beautiful to see the excitement on the childrens faces.

Whow, its been a long time since I last visited here. The experience of the show was the highlight. Our youth have so much to keep us entertained. Therefore the Joseph Stone establishment gives meaning to the opportunities that we are given. We are able to present talent on the stage as a form to be enjoyed by young and old.

Great venue for concerts. My kids school has the annual concerts. Convenient and good place.

It was a hive of activity in that classes are offered for the unemployed to make them more competitive in the world of work. Covid19 protocols are adhered to, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The ambience is exceptional.

The theatre which is home to the Eoan Group, a performing arts company, has been a pillar in the Athlone community for over 50 years. It prides itself in the fact that many of its alumni have gone on to achieve great things. The staff are highly committed and personally invest themselves in ensuring that any event hosted in the facility is done so successfully.

Was awesome visiting the Joseph Stone Auditorium!! It took me back to my childhood, performing in my high school plays! Wathing District 6 of The late Taliep Petersen and David Kramer, back in the 1980s!!

Joseph stone auditorium... They have different events happening here. Mainly the dancing for the kids which takes place on a Saturday and the shows that they have here. Parking can get full so if you are attending a show preferably try to be there earlier. Slightly safe neighbourhood but you should be okay if you park inside. Decent experience.

The hall is amazing to have been built in 1969 but who does the upkeep? Municipality or private company? This venue needs paint carpets and a heath and safety officer to assist in potential injuries from the public. It still can be used for another few hundred years if it is looked after!!!

Great venue. The chairs and the entrance area needs a lot of attention. It does add some character, but chairs arent comfortable. And they could maybe have a bigger variety of snacks to choose from.

It has dance room and smoke machines and it was big and it was a wonderful experience

Joseph stone will have a special place in my heart. They have wonderful programs for kids and adults.

Home of the Eoan Group school of performing arts. They offer a variety of classes including ballet, modern,hip hop, belly dancing. They also offer drama classes and tuition in some music instruments. They put on a fantastic show with all there dancers.

The show was very good. The sound amazing. Perfect. Thank you for the good work being done at the space for the community.

Great venue for shows and great work being done in training and educating youth through the arts. Very safe as well with secure and manned parking.

This gem of a theatre keeps the arts alive. Ibwas honoured to watch a show and was impressed with the sound and lighting which made the audio visual experience even more magical.

Never attended a show there with hassles, beautifully looked after and the sound throughout the auditorium is excellent

The only problem I experienced was there was no air-conditioning in the Auditorium an it was a full house. It got stuffy an Im a bit closterohobic

Looking beyond the mere physical trappings you have to realise this is a space that has served the community it sits in exceptionally well.

I love watching plays there also its not a cramped place also very clean

A good community space for performances, not the most modern facilities, but functional and a large community space.It has a tuck shop selling drinks and snacks, and we were allowed to take drinks into the show.The sound was a bit spotty, but the acoustics were fine, and the seats quite comfortable.

To me its iconic, reason being is I grew up around the area.it helps to discover new talent etc.

I just went to see my daughter at her ballet concert with The Eon Group, and it was outstanding, fantastic, and I would love to go again.

My daughter to ballet here very nice place for live shows Im sure they much cheaper at cost for hiring compare to Baxter and others in that ranking but I am sure experience wont be much of a difference :)

The place has a gud memoies coz my friend whom i work with was part of of theatrical performer in early years of 2000 and he even went to UK fo stage performer

Seating is a nightmare. The numbers are missing or mixed up. Sound is terrible

The Joseph Stone Auditorium gas been serving the Community in the Cape Flats since the 1960s. It has a seating of 500 . It is ideal for school concerts, local plays and variety shows. NGOs and other faith and community based organisations also frequentjy use the Auditorium for fundraisers and presentations. Sutuared on the busy Klipfontein Road on all the local public transport route, it is easily accessible. Really a great community asset

The show (Brother Love 2) was amazing as usual, the Adams brothers are true entertainers. The venue however, needs a little work.
