Customer service is absolutely non-existent in this establishment (except for the first manager who sold me my hearing aid). High staff-turnover. After the first manager who seemed to know what he was doing sold me my hearing aid, the subsequent manager who followed was not able to operate their computer system properly so that when I had to have my hearing-aid adjusted after a few months, it still wasnt ideal after the 4th try. The levels were all wrong, and caused some serious mood-swings as it messed with my brain. Hearing isnt just the ears, it affects the brain -- people who work in this profession should know this, surely! People swear oaths to be in the healing profession. The 3rd and current manager who came after that also never seemed to want to work the computer system, all the extras that my hearing aid was supposedly able to deliver for the R15k I paid for it never got their chance. My hearing-aid broke after just 2 years. They had to send it to Durban to get fixed for R2900, and I was left without a hearing aid for over a month. When I asked for a spare I was told they had just given their last spare to another customer. Again, brain-health suffered. Then 2 weeks later I had to spend another R1000 as it broke yet again. I can appreciate that the manager/technician and the audiologist are the backbone of the operation, but seriously, no TLC for patients at all here. Needless to say Im taking my business to where Im looked after now.
