Hudsons, Hudsons, Hudsons bae you are the girl you claim to be. You are your wildest dreams. Yes you can work on the tables inside, especially the ones near the doors with the small chairs. But wow babes, the food is always amazing. You need to definitely give props to the chef. Its unbelievable that when you start tasting the food, you go to your happy place. Please dont even get me started on the beer. They are basicially the only few place around that has Black label on tap. The glasses for the black label are for champion drinkers who drink a champion beer.Hudsons keep up the great work, I could give more stars I would. The waiters are friendly and look super modern with their cool clothing they wear.Always an amazing experience definitely a place to go to for date night and also just chilling with bae or friend. Love lpve love.

I ordered a gluten free vegan burger and was sent a burger with gluten in it. On enquiring, the manager defended his decision to send me a glutinous bun as the app that I ordered from did not have a paid option for gluten free option. So instead of cancelling the order or phoning me to inform me of their decision, the restaurant decided it was ok to defy my allergy specification and send me something I cannot eat!

I had an amazing night at hudsons. Fran was a very fun, quick and attentive waitress. The beer prices afe also good too.

As someone whos not a burger-person, I can honestly say that Hundsons has swayed me. Tasty tasty tasty and so many options! Both the beef and chicken burgers are delicious and always leave completely stuffed and happy.

The burger joint, as its known. I have been here a couple of times, its a chilled place to eat chill, alone or with friends. Sometimes you can come watch your matches here, or just make your first date here... Didnt take pictures really...

Cheapest beers around and great burgers! Also inlove with the surfer pizza. Goddam, its good.Usually served by Megan, Mandisa, Jess or Emma. All absolutely fantastic waitresses with impeccable service. They definitely all deserve free drinks!

Tried two of the vegan burgers.. the game changer and the infinity burger.. with onion rings and French fries.both were exceptional.The drinks were not such a hit.. 🤣 had the homemade ginger beer and the rock shandy.. both were not great..nice location with lots of outdoor tables and fresh air.

Yesterday afternoon, my brother, his girlfriend and myself visited the Hudsons. It was quite quiet for a Sunday afternoon but yet I think that added to the lovely atmosphere of it. We werent waiting hours for our meals. You could sit indoors or enjoy the beautiful outdoor view of the mountain. It is quite large inside and the place has its own bar. It reminds me kind of a sports bar. There was a large TV screen, that made me think it probably gets busier on Friday and Saturday nights. The food was lovely, we didnt have their burgers but what we did have was full of flavor. Intersting to note, my brother had fried avo chips! Can you belive it 🍟😁 and he said they tasted good. The food was presented well and the service was great. Both the waiter and the manager kept checking to see if we were okay. Although one thing I felt was a bit negative was that both my brothers milkshake and my ice cream dessert was a bit waterish. It felt as if it wasnt real ice cream being used but that probably is healthier than having full cream. Overall great place

Ive always enjoyed Hudsons as they always have great staff. I did the unthinkable and had a vegan falafel burger and it was great. Its a pity they only did the special vegetarian burger for a month. They could attract a big crowd with those and is the reason I am here now. Oh well, they 2 for 1 beer special on St Patricks day has made up for it.

I enjoyed the vibe and the food at Hudson, loved the hamburger choices. The long island I had was a little watery and came in a round glass that was impossible to drink out of. But other than that, great time with my friend, good social distancing protocols were in place too, this made me comfortable being there.

Around election time there is always a lot of hype. This time we got really excited by the promise of a @hudsonsburgers limited edition Rainbow Nation Burger.The Hudsons menu presents a decent selection of veggie and vegan options. Putting the Claremont branch to the test, we exercised our freedom of choice by ordering one standard burger and one with a @beyondmeat patty to create a veggie option.Unfortunately like most political parties, after Hudsons got our vote for lunch, they struggled with service delivery and failed to deliver change. On the positive side, the burgers and fries were great.

Great staff who were super friendly and such a great vibe! Very wide range of meal choices at such decent prices. Their vegan and vegetarian selection is highly recommended. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable evening out with family or friends. They have all COVID precautions in place such as hand sanitizer, temperature checks and visitor logging.

Omg.. Im out of words.. The best 🍔 and sweet potato 🍟 in town... 😋😋😋😋 Bit pricey but I dont mind for that delicious food..

I really enjoyed my time at Hudsons Burger Joint in Claremont. It was a first time experience for both my friend and I and we had a good time. Welcoming staff and vibey atmosphere. We decided to be seated in the outdoor area as inside was quite full. Food tasted really good. They even offer little throws if it gets abit chilly outside.

Had the most amazing Pizza at this Joint. The Banker. Great atmosphere, amazing service too.

Great burger choices with a fantastic vegan menu.The Hudsons beer range (and their selection of other craft beers) is really good.Fries are not included. The view is lovely.The cocktails and pizzas are average but this is clearly marketed as beer and burgers so not surprised.

Ordered delivery and received raw burgers. Disgusting. Will not be ordering or ever going to dine there again. When we called the manager, he was argumentative. It is very sad to see this kind of quality being served in a pandemic when business levels are supposed to be down.

Went there for the Beyond Burger special. Patty was very good albeit a bit small. Vegan bacon was impressive. Happy to pay their special price otherwise would have been a bit costly as it didnt include sides. Music was a bit loud for easy chatting. Very friendly waitress and service improved as the evening went on!

Great vibe, great beer, and great food. Well decorated and comfortable atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My friend cant stop going on about the Boss burger (would recommend). If youre in the Claremont area and want good food in a chilled location Hudsons is where you need to be.

Took my family out for late lunch. We had asked the waitress to change the TV over to the cricket channel and she came back to say theres another table watching the current channel. 30 mins later I asked the manager of he could change the channel so we can check the score and he said he will fist ask the customers watching this channel. He came to say no he wont change the channel.As a manager you would want to satisfy all your customers. If the manager had to just change the channel to check the score I think that would have been fair. But the manager allowed this customer to watch his preferred channel for the entire 2 hours.When we approached him nicely on our way out, the manager became upset and stated its not because of who the customer is. We simply would have appreciated an apology and some fairness.Definitely not worth returning if thats how he treats his customers.Average, overpriced food with no added experience.

Came here for a friends birthday, they offered to give her a free waffle and wrote her a message using nutella chocolate. Staff were very friendly and the food was great as always. They have lots of different craft beers and beers on tap to choose from. Would also recommend their sweet potato fries! Will be back again soon!

Take the Rockabilly and add habanero peppers. Delicious. Great buns - soft and proper size ratio vs the burger. Wouldve been 5 star if the burger wasnt fully well done. Good house beer too.

AVOID! Ordered through UberEats. The burger was the worst weve ever had as was the onion rings and chips. Burger had a bone in it, had no sauce, toppings were minimal and poor poor quality. Onion rings are oily & batter wasnt cooked through.

Unfortunately not a good experience. We ordered online. Wasnt advised when our order was ready and the order was processed incorrectly. We were charged for what we ordered but we did not receive all the items ordered.**Edit: One of the Managers called to apologize for the mix up the next day and informed they will refund the full meal. Admittedly not a lot of businesses would do that so kudos to them.

Went to the back to ask a waitress for an Ashtray as the rest of the staff were doing nothing sitting on their phones.Sad to then be told I’m harassing the waitress staff yet for an ashtray while she’s too busy on her phone. Walking away she then called me a .... which I can’t repeat online.If you’re looking for bad service then this is the place. Burgers are tiny and unfortunately the staff are confrontational and never around.

I had such a poor experience here. Ordered a Surfers pizza or whatever it was called. The atmosphere was extremely loud and i could barely here what the person sitting next to me was saying without having to get very up close. Worst of all, the Pizza I bought was not great at all - It tasted like something from debonaires and also, the base was not cooked properly.We had good service despite the delay (understandably it was a really busy day for them). Service was the only good take away.Unfortunately, i have no pictures and just my experience.

The newly renovated venue is unfortunately not met with the same service. If you can’t handle happy hour, don’t offer it.Manager Mike was extremely unaccommodating when we addressed the fact that our bill was not “half price happy hour prices”. According to many websites Hudson’s happy hour is from 16:30-18:30. Mike, who took multiple orders from our table (and obviously forgot to ring them up before happy hour ended) insisted that all orders for happy hour end at 18:20, if this is true, please be sure to stipulate this on the World Wide Web.A few undesirable comments were made by Mike in an incredibly demeaning manner;1. “I get this from students all the time” (keeping in mind that that at least half the table were not students)2. “I can’t believe you are fighting over R35”. There was no intention of a fight. The fact of the matter is that drinks were ordered at 6:15 and not rung up.3. He swore at our table, in front of other customers more than once.The pure disrespect was really disappointing as we are loyal customers. As people who are in the industry we understand the stress behind such a service, we were appalled by the way we were treated, as you should be as he is dragging Hudson’s good name through the dirt.

You really need to work on your packaging department for the delivery orders.Chicken wings have been my frequent orders. It comes with a side of fries...but for the past 2 orders I did not receive a side of fries..can you imagine eating plain chicken wings ?For the second order (from Uber eats) I clearly added a note to include a side of fries. But looks like you dont read the order notes.This is very disappointing and waste of money!
