Harmony saved my life. They took me in with open caring arms. Nurtured me so I could heal. Taught me about myself and helped me grow. Turned darkness to light. Nurture Harmony really is such a great hospital, and has so much to offer people seeking mental health and addiction recovery. Set in such a beautiful location of the Hout Bay valley, it offers a tranquil environment perfect for both local and oversees people seeking recovery treatment in Cape Town.

Self-righteously destroying a 25years old relationship, treating the partner of the patient like a child, and they don’t even have the decency to answer emails. They have a partner session where partners sit around in circles and being taught. Treat addiction like a business ... I was shocked and speechless. Not a good place at all.They also allow intimate relationships between patients - seriously doubt that this is to the benefit of recovering addicts

My experience 3 years ago was not the best. A banting food diet imposed on patients which left most people hungry and asking for my leftovers. The counsellors were ex addicts and not trained in any way to handle patients and as such were autocratic and it was like being in prison. Psychologists who felt a need to label you with some disorder irrespective of what the real issue was. Shared cups for water to take medicine unhygienic and I had R200 stolen when I arrived as I had to leave my bag in nursing station to await assessment (without it being locked away - was left on chair). Horrendous.

I went to harmony and it was such friendly staff and amazing treatment, was able to get world class therapy!!

While the infrastructure and surroundings are beautiful their staff are impatient, heartless and the owner is purely focused on making this a gold mine. They dont care about a patients other medical health issues such as diabetes and refused to provide the prescribed medication. Just a money making business.

I have loved working at Nurture Harmony and will miss the loving and holistic approach!

Hi my name Jacques Gabriels. I was a patient of harmony for 6 months.When I came into treatment I was extremely agressive and had been abusing drugs for 20 years.I did primary,, secondry and stepdown program.During my stay in treatment I was definitely not the easiest patient to deal with because I was very self willed and very aggressive.The clinicall team through several behavioural relapses stood by me and never gave up on me. They were able to teach me how to regaulate my emotions and taught me new coping mechanisms in life. The only coping method I had was to use drugs and numb my pain,,as I could never cope with my life.I was diagnosed with severe PTSD due to all the life threatening traumas ive been through and my addiction thrived on numbing my pain.At harmony the clinical team specialises in trauma work,,, I was able to work through every trauma and process it with the support of the clinicall team.I can honestly say that harmony has changed my life and taught me spiritual principles,,I am 7 months clean and still attent aftercare and im an outpatient continueing my programm towards sobriety.I came to Harmony to get sober but I got my life back.I would recommend anybody with any addiction to Harmony.

I have worked in a few addiction treatment centres in my career and I can honestly say that Harmony has heart. We all go the extra mile.
