During my 3-month stay, I was consistently astonished by how informed and involved each member of the therapeutic team was in my personal development. It became apparent to me early on that the team were not merely applying rote therapy, rather they were actively working with each other to bring about the best possible result for me and my unique set of challenges. All the excellent things I had heard about Tharagay prior to my admission turned out to be true. I continue to be reap the benefits, daily, of the outstanding work this committed team of professionals has put into helping me set my life in order. This place really turned my life around. I found the therapeutic strategies and process extremely effective, and the therapists/counselors are highly competent and invested in their work. Not only did I find my stay here highly constructive, but also enjoyable (and that is something to say when you are talking about a rehab center).

During my 28-day stay at Tharagay Manor, I was impressed with the staffs professionalism, knowledge of the nature of addiction and genuine care. The lectures, art-and-music therapy and practical recovery plans were particularly helpful. The optional weekly after-care programme is also excellent and facilitated by professional staff. I can recommend this institution to all struggling with any sort of addiction.

Tharagay really change my life around. I hit rock bottom before I went to rehab, and I came out a new man 6 weeks later. I have learnt so many valuable things during therapy and one-on-one sessions with the counsellors that are still helping me in my recovery. Our son was in treatment two years ago in Tharagay. He was addicted for alcohol and drugs for many years. He had very often therapie in Holland by different treatments for addiction. But every time he relapsed. It was so frustrating for him and for us. There was no trust.But the time in South Africa in Capetown by Tharagay was very good for him but also for us. They gave him the right handles to hold on.Now it’s 2 years later and he is still clean from everything. We are very proud of him and we are so grateful that the treatment in Tharagay helped him to do this. Thank you for all.

Ive been to several treatment facilities before, and I can honestly say that my stint at Tharagay has transformed my life. The counselors were professional and knew exactly how to tackle my underlying issues. The facility is world class, and the lectures and other therapeutic activities are 2nd to none. My battle with substance abuse i can literally liken to being in the trench of war, Tharagay was the beckoning light that lead me out a destructive conflict from ruinous addiction to a life today of Peace, Concurrence and Ebullience. Seldom in life does one come across individuals who literally invest themselves in your life in order to equip you with the tools to rebuild your existence, whilst not being weighed down by the guilt and shame from your harmful and damaging addictive years past. Moreover in my counselor Marthinus i found refuge in a solid individual that imbues the solid program maintained by Tharagay, in me he single handedly and effortlessly replaced the pillars that sustained the horrid, perpetual cycle of addiction with an overarching process of Healing. My review is a testimony to this effect and thus I recommend it with distinction to anyone who desires to conquer the battle of addiction.
