The best and freshest fish (and other dishes) you can get in town. Never disappointed and the service is always top notch.

We went in a group of nine. The restaurant was empty only two other people there,So considering this it took an hour for our food of which the fish was way overcooked.It was dry and curling up. The only acceptable item was the prawns.Amazingly the two people who did not order fish were very satisfied with their meal.When you pay for a platter in a seafood restaurant you expect a lot better.No allowance was made for such poor food other than being offered a shooter which none of us wanted.This was on a Wednesday lunchtime the table was booked, so no excuses.

Had lunch today at Blue Marlin. My wife and I both ordered the combo large hake and calamari. My wife went with the savoury rice as a side. As you can see from the pics, the savoury rice turned out to be just nornmal rice and my large hake (+220g as per menu) must have gone on a strict diet! Both the manager on duty and the waitress agreed that the fish fillet was small, but the chef was adamant that all was ok... So not a nice experience, especially as the food was just mediocre at best. So in conclusion, I would NOT recommend the Blue Marlin to anyone and will not support them in future. Collin

Wanted to celebrate a birthday on Friday, 27th August 2021..Our starters were great, when our main meal was ordered 30 minutes later the wrong order came to our table...waitress apologized and said our order will be served shortly...One hour later we called the manager as no food was served as yet..manager advised food will be served in five minutes...Food was served of which two servings were ice cold, obviously was dished up and forgotten about...the service was very poor.🙈🤢

Been there a few times and always been brilliant. Yesterday however was not a very nice experience at all. I asked if the fish batter could be crispy, which turned out to be almost burnt. The chips too. It was cooked for too long in oil that was still too cool. Instead of hot and fast. Hopefully will be better next time.

Most recent visit...I wont return, portions got very small. The mussels for starters tasted like they made it with Royco vegetable soup, awful. Would rather look for another fish restaurant.

Our experience at this restaurant wasnt so pleasant. We ordered 4 meals and ended up receiving two plates out of which three people had to share one plate of food and was still charge full prices on all 4 meals that was ordered. I phoned the restaurant two days later to enquire and is yet to receive feedback from management. Dont get me wrong credit is due where credit is due. Their food are absolutely stunning I just dont see why I have to share food and pay full prices for full meals.

We usually get takeaways because I love old school fish and chips and they do it so well. The calamari and prawns are also well worth ordering. Although very reasonably priced, we have never been disappointed with the quality of food. Easy 5 stars

Such a big DISAPPOINTMENT. Hubby and I both ordered a combo consisting of Large Hake & Calamari (Grilled), we received small portions of both. The chef visited the table to confirm that my handsize is indeed a LARGE Hake??? Needless to say the calamari tubes fitted in the palm of my hand, the savory rice was plain rice and hubbys salad was a kids portion of leaves, peppers and onions. And make no mistake, prices charged are very much market-related. We will not be supporting Blue Marlin in future and we strongly suggest you do the same. Hard-earned money can be better spend elsewhere.

I work at King of tiles and its just 5minutes away from Blue marlin boksburg .Firstly prices increased without informing us customers, Secondly when they deliver there has to be something missing, Either sauces which were paid for or utensils etc...Brenda is worse she has an attitude. As for the food guys its very enjoyable its just there and there where u will get burnt chicken and dry chips

Easily, some of the best seafood Ive had. Their prawns are amazing. Way better than OB. They are chips are nice and crispy. Their fish is good, very tasty and flavorful, just ask that they dont make it dry. Very affordable and very friendly service. If recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a good seafood dish.

This was my second visit but first at the new premises. Had a delicious deep fried hake, I think it’s called the London fish and chips on a gloomy quiet day. My family loves the seafood here,we make a point to pop in whenever we’re in the East Rand.

The London fish and chips are delicious. The fish batter is crispy and fish is fresh. Nice big portion too. They must just sort out their playlist. Some of the music skips and cut off. Also try and play more contemporary and upbeat music to create a better vibe.

The fish is always good, prices are fair, the takeaway prices are quite cheaper than the sit down restaurant. Live music on Friday evening that can be a bit loud if you want to spend time with friends. They do offer lunch specials from Wednesday till Saturday until 16.00 that is worth your while

One of the best seafood outlets in Boksburg for me. Its funny how its underrated and even I at first i thought otherwise of the place, until I got to taste their food. Very fresh, perfectly cooked to your desire and tantalizing. Youre literally drooling when eating 😂. Though Ive never had a sit down, so i really cant say much about the environment, but the staff whove so far served me were okay.

Bad service. No management. My meal was shocking. I had what was meant to be a Calamari Steak. Three little strips that were so rubbery and as for the lemon butter sauce 🤮. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Seafood was excellent. A combined garlic lemon butter sauce will define it even greater! Hake was awesomely prepared and succulent even to the thin part of the tail. My biltong garlic cheese bread was a bit disappointing as to my first and second visit to Blue Mrlin as it lacked a good deal of cheese.
