(No alcohol served here) All our dishes were really good however was a tad bit disappointed that the curry options seem on the reviews are no longer on the menu.You could also choose from a wide selection of baked items. Fridges stocked with frozen pastry items that could be purchased

Tasty food, yummy cakes and family friendly.Limited vegetarian options but there are Salads. Not a very diverse patronage so depends what kind of vibe youre looking for.The masala Chai is a must try.

From the nostalgic decor to the service. This place is worth every cent you will spend here. Im a burger guy so I went with the classic beef burger. I was super happy with my choice. The flavours pop from the toppings and the char from the party just completes the taste. Guaranteed to leave anyone smiling

Wonderful decor … very different from the norm , however I found the menu very tedious to read , it was all too cramped and overwhelming. Food is decent at an affordable price.You’d also want to book in advance via a call in the weekends as it gets really busy!

The best culinary experience, by far, in JHB. The owners are so warm and accommodating, the food was amazing, the steak was cooked perfectly and they also allowed for us to provide them with our gluten free bread to make use of for a certain meal due to a family member being on a gluten free diet. 10/10. Do yourself a favor and ensure that you stop over for a delicious meal. From the starters right up to the desert, everything was brilliant.

Chic setting with great decor. The food was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of items on the menu. The trio bruscheta starter is divine and I had the ostrich fillet with a watermelon salad as a main which was cooked to perfection 👌. My wife tried the Krispy Kreme burger which was actually surprisingly good. Overall an excellent experience and the service was great as well.

They didnt have stock for a cake that I wanted and being pregnant they understood how badly I wanted it, as soon as they got it, they called me to get it. Utterly horrible experience! Called the previous day to book a table when I arrive on the day the table is unavailable. Tried placing an order but everything I wanted was finished or out of stock. Simple thing as waffles that could easily be made with a batter was not provided and the worst part the managers dont even bother to try and fix the issue! Completely horrified!!

Great, upbeat and unique vibe. The menu is delightfully different. Perfect for a family night out and getting together with friends that arent into the bar scene. I would absolutely love to visit again in the near future. The management and staff are are super approachable, kind and theres a clear attention to detail. I am obsessed with the decor.

The quality of Food was good but in every dish we choose there were jalapeños which made the dish extra spicy which is a problem if you dont eat spicy food. ( jalapeños were not mentioned on the menu as an ingredient)

Busy and energetic vibe, variety of foods and drinks, service is very slow took 20mins to plate 2 brownies and dish icecream,and another 20 for a basic sandwich, to be fair its in the disclaimer!! However on the up side If you know the owners they give you preferential treatment and thats displayed right in the open!!!

So i know Ive posted about this Cafe over a year ago, but for those who didnt know it exists here is a reminder. I recently went back to Upcycled Café not only for the good food but this particular weekend they had made an arrangement with Tonka Bean Bakery to bring in some of their delicious doughnuts to the east side. (as you know Tonka is moer far for us East Randers) They have made some changes to the decor which is so funky and quirky. So while taking my order we obviously cannot help but buy more goodies that their sister bakery next door makes I.e. Croissants filled with fresh cream / cakes and mini desserts. (Lazeezas) As for the food and cakes everything is just MELT - IN - YOUR - MOUTH AMAZING.... I even had such a good cup of Masala Tea *sigh* I will advise to make a reservation. Its a small cafe that fills up quickly as i discovered recently when I hoped to have lunch and they were full :-(

Food was great,The service can do with some jacking up.Ordered breakfast for 3 adults and for a child. The childs meal came after the adults Asked the waiter for water 15 min later he had to be reminded again.Would recommend the place for the good quality of food.

What a gorgeous place! The decor is absolutely beautiful and the food was beyond expectation. Every thing, from the drinks to the meal and the yummy bakery goodies was to perfection. Wish I lived closer to Benoni!

Best place and its halaal

A beautiful layout with all the succulent plants and quirky tables & chairs. I enjoyed the food, better than i expected actually however, the owners were really cold and unfriendly.They dont greet you on your way in or thank you when youre leaving, neither do they come to your table to personally ask if youre satisfied with your meal / service. Theres absolutely no customer etiquette when it comes to the owners, it made me feel really uncomfortable to be honest.The staff were really friendly and so patient but had to be constantly reminded to wear their mask. I didnt appreciate that at all👎🏼

Very tasty food and well presented and prepared but service is a -5. They absolutely delayed and slow. Go if you prepared to wait a long time.But overall delicious food.

The service in this shop is shocking. The owners dont wear masks at all and all customers into the shop without masks. Becarefull when going here. Its shocking and appalling.

If youre in the area, this is a must try. Everything coming out of the kitchen is amazingly delicious.

Ordered a takeaway from here today. 10/10 SO good!! We got the potato, chicken and mayo, and spicy pizza and the steak special and chicken sandwich. All delicious and not the usual takeaway taste. Will definitely be back :)

Upcycled Cafe is non-compliant with Covid-19 protocols.We decided to get a take away from this store but their service was very poor. The take away took ages to come and the owner and his son were both not wearing masks and were both serving customers.When approached about not wearing a mask and the non-compliance with COVID-19 protocols, the owner was extremely rude and said he can’t work with a mask on. There was also no hand sanitisers on the tables or at the till where the cash and credit cards are being handled.In the midst of the 2nd wave of the pandemic , this is highly irresponsible behaviour and they are putting the lives of their own staff and customers that are supporting them , at risk.

Love the set up, food is nice. I do think that they should invest in some high chairs for babies.

You have to wait a little longer than expected on the weekends or when the restaurant is full but the food is worth it!

Food brilliant but the place is too popular that they struggling with the volume. If you get here expect a wait to be seated and for the meal. Dont bother trying to call in to place an order. They will get it wrong. The lady taking the orders doesnt know whats going on. My first time here and because of them not capturing my telephonic order correctly they didnt make anything. I had to wait further for my food. The owner instead of apologizing ended up arguing with me the customer. In short although the food is tops, expect issues as your patience will be tested.

The place has a casual setup. The food is really good. The cupcakes are devine. Their beef burgers are really good. Only problem was the service. They are slow in giving your order. But than again it was worth the wait.

The service was extremely slow even though the cafe was almost empty. Most of the food was good, however the french toast is made with bread from a packet instead of brioche. The prices are on the higher end.I returned to Upcycled Cafe for lunch. The service was excellent and the menu extensive. I really enjoyed my lunch.It was a huge improvement and I would now recommend this establishment to my friends.
