Loved the staff and generous size of the rooms for my family of 4. Couldnt stay for breakfast the following day as we had to leave at 6am for the airport. The hotel staff arranged 4 huge breakfast packs which included pastries, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, water, chocolate and muffins. Was such a wonderful treat. Thank you .. thank you.. thank you.

Neat rooms and premises. They have a little golf cart that drives around to help you get around the premises which is very useful. Quite a few eateries on the premises which is very convenient.

Birchwood is always a nice place to visit. Kabelo the Key Accounts Manager was so helpful and showed us the fullness of the hospitality of Birchwood. We will visit again soon.

I really like the Birchwood. It has so much potential however due to Covid restrictions it seems to have gone backwards a bit. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service could do with some work and the food at the BC Cafe leaves a lot to be desired, which is a shame. I will still support them, because right now its not easy for accommodation venues.

Beautiful, serene, relaxing, convenient. I enjoyed my stay there, Ill definitely be going back.

This is hardly a hotel! The staff is absolutely arrogant and have no clues what they are doing! My stay of 15 days, I had to remind them atleast 8 days for towel replacements and basic amenities that this so called HOTEL boasts upon. For a day, I had no water to say the least. I hope the so called General manager is reading this and gets a wake up call. To make things worse, the housekeeping guys didnt replace the cushion covers and left it as is. This is the pathetic state of affairs. Stay away from this hotel and not recommended at all!

Apart from being cold(given that I come from the land of the equator), it was a good stay! I noticed that COVID-19 has constrained many businesses, but am sure that wont be for long!They have great salmon and oxtail and the staff are quick to help when called upon!

Birchwood in East Rand is a special place for me because I have been there a number of times and still havent seen all they have to offer. What I have seen was world-class. All their facilities are very well organized and well-maintained. They deserve 5 stars.

Hidden gem, very clean, tidy and friendly staff, rooms are spacious, beds are big and sleep well, sound isolation is good. Nice garden infront of every unit and parking for car right at your door. Only negative is that the carpets needs a deep cleanse wash but the are clean vacuumed. Easy access to shops, airport and major highways. No or little noise from traffic or planes. Peaceful and nice.

The service from staff was excellent. They had no problem assisting us with our 3am checkout and guard ensured that we were safe on our departure

The bedding was clean, but the carpet wasnt vacuumed, the showers door did not seal properly so the bathroom floor flooded when one showers and to top it all, the kettle had dead ants floating in the water of which some have started to grow fungi on them, meaning that theyve been in the water for a long time....

Birchwood hotel is beautiful, tranquil and so calm - I cant wait to book for myself and hubby to spend the weekend and get a day spa treatment and relax by the pool. I love the trees and shades and friendly tiny birds - it was such a pleasure to be there and the staff is Super friendly and polite. Cant wait to go back

I stayed in this hotel for a work trip and before I took a shower I noticed someone else’s hair on the wall, so the shower wasn’t cleaned!I found bed bugs in my luggage which was disgusting!I got ahold of management and they where not helpful at all!All they could say was sorry!Sorry doesn’t help!I paid R850 for the night and I would never stay with them againIt was my first and last time!I don’t recommend this hotel!

We booked initially 3days a special online then increased to 5 days due to business finishing earliar..The frontline staff were not courteous or very helpful at all as we had questions. The hotel was very quiet..but housekeeping was very slow and lacking..they seemed rude and disinterested in taking care of us.The whole experience staying for 8days was very unsatisfactory and would never recommend to anyone ..the star rating is undeserved. The restaurant on site is overpriced and extremely underwhelming..nothing on menu justified the extremely high prices charged.

Booked in on a public holiday. Residents protested and sang loudly even till 2:30 am. I had a conference the next day and were very tired.

I have visited Birchwood twice with work and I absolutely love the place. The facilities are great. The staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are spacious and clean. The food however is not that amazing but everything else makes up for it. Our meals were buffet meals thus I am referring to that when I speak of the food not all the restaurants on the venue. The place is huge and you can easily get lost but a simple phone call and a shuttle is at your door to take you to your destination.

Attended a company function at the venue. Close to OR Tambo International airport, easily accessible and close to shopping malls, restaurants and highways. There is sufficient accommodation for visitors and guests at the hotel.The set-up is beautiful. The grounds are well-kept and laid out. Staff is helpful and efficient.The venue has many options for functions, both corporate and social.Recommended.

I came here for an LGBTQ workshop and the hospitality was super excellent and tge staff is gay friendly. The management was actually nicer than any management Ive ever met or seen.We had a chill out session with friends and the manager came to offer us free drinks to enjoy the rest of our stay. Before taking our orders he actually gave us a lesson not just a lesson but a great lesson of life. I left there more wiser than I came in, just in those few secondsNext time you in Kempton park book your stay here, you wont regret it.

The hotel has grown since my last visit. The room I slept in was big and comfortable with two beds in it. Rooms are very clean with all the necessities like two complimentary water and Coffee. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The place is so huge that the only way you can get along is by a golf car or staff moving you from one destination to another. There are different conference facilities on the premises for meetings etc. Trees and plants compliments the place very well. A mall with different shops is in a walking distance from the hotel. Free shuttle services on an hourly basis to take guests from the hotel to the airport and the airport to the hotel. Security at the hotel is very strict and professional. Free WiFi on the premises 24 hours. Breakfast cater for all people. All range of delicacy is been offered during the morning. Guest can also use the swimming pool during summer months.
