Worst shopping experience ever. Got forced to pay and leave the store when it was closing time. I didnt even get to finish my shopping and the cashiers made a mockery of us just because our groceries filled 2 trolleys. I dont recommend this store at all.

Poor service, bad attitudes. Not a once off thing I gave it 3 months bsice moving nearby. Not recommended, I rather drive back to my old Checkers. After finally complaining at head office last week the branch manager phoned me and said they are working on it as he just took over. Went again on Monday and it was still really bad, I sincerely hope they get this right for the sake of so many jobs, the centre is already running empty.

Cant imagine my life without the 60min service it is amazing how fast they deliver.....Thank you for this service, I love it!!!

Their butchery section sold me chicken that was off and smelt disgusting! When I went to return it they just give a refund with no apology for the inconvenience or care about me having to drive back to report the matter. Terrible service. Will not shop there again!

I dont know who gets paid at Checkers to leave/ignor unnecessary obsticals on their floors but they are doing a great job. While I was walking through the aisles doing some shopping at CHECKERS HYPER BOKSBURG I bumped my shin into a removed shelve that was badly placed on its side on the floor pretruding around a corner. Luckily my leg isnt broken but wounded/scratched, bruised and painful, hopefully the neglected shelve didnt have rusted parts that caused the wound/scratch. After the inconvenient and painful experience I spoke to the closest Checkers employee who only said sorry and wasnt concerned about the shelve not even talking about my leg, I then proceeded to find another hopefully more helpful employee to call the manager (Peter as she informed me). The manager Peter took about 20 odd minutes to come from the back after being called by the employee also not very helpful and not looking concerned about the incedemt that happened in his store by incompetent employees or his customers getting injured. I finished my shopping in pain and a hurry to get home and at least try to clean the wound/scratch. Very disappointed in CHECKERS HYPER BOKSBURG its MANAGER and EMPLOYEES

How can the sigarette prices change from last saturday to today. I bought a carton of dunhill fine cut last saturday for +_R470.00. The lady told me you pay less if you buy a carton. Todsy i paid R549.00.

Disgusting customer service from the tellers from this Checkers. On two separate occasions tellers have refused to pack my grocery items. The one teller telling me her reason being that I had bought too few items for her to pack into a carrier bag. I have never in my life heard of such an nonsense excuse.The entrance to the Checkers also smells like a dead rat.

You draw money at the Checkers Hyper till.Then get robbed as you walk away....The security does absolutely nothing to help you.....Being a partially disabled person....One would expect better service from a Major Shopping Chain.....Not even a Supervisor assisted....Makes a person wonder how far the involvement goes in this issue....Who is going to replace my money....as i am a disabled pensioner....

Not the newest Checkers but most certainly one of the best. Ample parking , Friendly and helpful cashiers and packers. Shop has everything you could want. Would recommend shopping here any day.

Very disappointed with the stocking of expired goods on the shelves. This is now the 2nd time i have purchased expired products from Checkers Hyper Boksburg. Recently 2020/02/29, went to the store to do my monthly groceries and bought 2 bottles of the Steers - Italian Salad Dressing only to get home and found out that these had already expired on 2020/02/05. Could not return them as i had thrown my receipt away and the drive back to the store was going to cost me in terms of fuel. Checkers please could always ensure that the goods you are placing on your shelves have not reached their best before dates as you are risking getting people sick.

This is the worst place I have ever bought from... Not even the quality of the goods or the smell that comes from their fridges bothers me. What does bother me is that in this global test that we are going through, I stood by the express till (cigarette kiosk) as I had 3 items to pay for. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ISOLATED yet the staff stand and chat about a R200 note, wearing no masks or gloves and touching their hair the whole time and keep the queue waiting while the other till is slowly counting money. They look at one as if they are doing us a favor when in fact, it is you that needs the job and it is checkers that need the customers... I WALKED OUT LEAVING MY TROLLEY BEHIND. Good for you checkers staff...

Everything you didnt know you needed in a checkers. Shelves are fully stocked and store is clean although store layout is a bit confusing. Tills were pretty efficient and friendly

BAD BAD SERVICE Cnr Leeupoort Street &, Rondebult Rd, Parklands, Boksburg, 1460. Queues always long. Cashiers extremely slow. Manager not willing to listen to complaints. Will avoid that store in future. I have tried different timings but always the same and always end up leaving store in anger.

I went to get some Heyday specials and everything was out of stock. Not at one but two stores. They make sure that similar items at much higher prices are well stocked. Why have specials if you dont have enough stock for the duration?? They want to trick us in buying the more expensive items. I wont fall for it😡🤬

I dont have a problem with the shop. Love shopping there for my groceries as they always have great specials. My problem is that the staff is rude. Cannot greet you when you get to the till, dont ask if you need bags, you have to ask them. If you say something then you just get a look and it was clear that not even the supervisors care. Really, you should train your staff on how to treat customers. We do pay their salaries after all.

After I received the weekly specials catalogue, I decided to go to this store to buy the dishwasher Quantum Capsules 40 which was advertised as R159.99 (or R139.99 with the Xtra Card). When I got to the shelf, I noticed the promotion price was next to the Quantum Capsules 30. I approached on of the employees and after querying with him where was the promotional item, he quickly replaced the price label to R176.99. I was really angry, because this has happened before in October this year, for this specific product. No mention of Out of Stock or Apology! So this time I decided to bring this matter to the Branch Manager. After some hesitation from the staff member I approached, Mr Maseko was called in to inform me that the Branch Manager was in a meeting in Edenvale. I explained the reason for my complaint and he agreed this was unacceptable. He then called in Mr J Nel and after hearing my complaint, both organized that I could buy a 30 Capsules + 10 Capsules packs for the promotional price advertised. I would like to commend both of these gentlemen for their swift and professional way to deal with my complaint! Thank you Mr Maseko and Mr Nel.

Please dont buy frozen items here. This is now the second time I buy ice cream only to find that it had been completely defrosted before. Hard Crystal syrup at the bottom with a coating of cream on the top. How disgusting. They obviously have major issues with their fridge system. And how do you prove ice cream thats been off.

Managers and staff always very helpful. Theres never a problem if there is a need to return/change something. Store layout is good with wide aisles. 😀 Good selection of whatever you are looking for. 👍 Medi-Rite is tops, which is fitting for Checkers Hyper (Parklands). All in all, a pleasant and enjoyable shopping experience.

Please dont buy anything from the deli or bakery i have personally seen rats run across the deli and bakery floor sections. Staff are non chalant about the hygiene. Otherwise the store is spacious and fairly stocked with what one needs

Could not get a receipt for groceries purchased as the till got frozen and I got told that the Teller was rushing to knock off work,

I shop at this store often. I dont think that I have ever had a friendly shopping experience at this store. This store has got the rudest staff I have ever encountered anywhere. I get to the till, the teller cannot even look at me, let alone greet. It is all good, you dont greet me, I dont greet you. Then I pay the exact amount, no need for change. Takes her about 4 minutes to figure it out and enter the amount. The lady behind me asks 3 times for her to move the belt so that she can unpack her trolley while I pay. Twice she ignores her request, untill I say to her, the lady is asking you to do something. Then only does she press the button, meaning she heard her all 3 times, but chose to ignore her, until I said something. The way staff treat customers at that store is shocking, and I have had several experiences like that. If you say anything to a manager you just get a look. They should be given customer service training as they are not equiped to deal with the public. I think I should find another store to shop at because I dont feel like shoping there again.

Great selection of products, definitely far more superior than the hyper in town in being modern. Open till late for your convince. I spent many hours in this store shopping for groceries.

Hyper needs to improve their stock levels and empty shelves dont help either...After a few months and the Hyper has gone from bad to worse! They completely changed around the whole shop. No one can find anything and it take 10 times longer to do my monthly groceries. Never again

Large Hypermarket, not situated in a mall, with almost unlimited parking. Ive never experienced any hostility or threat to security ie either personal or to property. Also on site a Crazy Store, an optometrist, pet shop and various other smaller businesses. Convenient shopping experience.

Closes quickly and the shop is always dirty most of the times... always a fault or something when you go there, but you can still buy everything you need if you have a strong stomach.

A rather average store considering the size and area which it is situated, they have have a large range of products but be wary of expiry dates on fresh products, on many occasions I have found dairy and other fresh produce past its sell by date.
