Very friendly owners, very helpful and quick response to quote, havent fished there yet because of the river coming down but will visit them soon🎣🎣🎣

Units are dirty. Cockroaches everywhere. Kitchen poorley stocked. Bedding used and sweaty. NOT whashed after previous visitors. Second night no hot water.. Aweful..

Very good value for money.

Cupboards in kitchen were never cleaned. It is said that kitchen is fully stocked, but basic utensils like pots and pans are missing. Really disappointed. False advertising as well. Pictures on website is only of unit 1. Not all units look like that. Would not recommend this place or come back again.

Daan Se Plek is a place where you can relax and unwind. The tranquility of the surroundings gives you a peace of mind to enjoy nature with the view of the Vaal river. The rooms are a bliss and decorated stylishly. Uncle Daan was professional, friendly and made me feel welcome. You definitely deserve 5 stars. Thanks guys. Will definitely recommend this lodge!!!

A very nice venue next to the vaal river. A driving distance to Bloemhof dam. The dam is a very popular. There are many venues around the dam that is very popular for Provincial and National angling competitiond. This venue is used by many teams fishing in these competitions. It is just a pity that the owner Daan does not service his rooms and or maintains his premises. Not a very neat venue. Rooms not serviced. Very dusty. There are better places to stay in Bloemhof.

The cottages are very nice, clean etc. But the river was dead no fish caught that sad because it would have only made the weekend better.

The fishing area is not big enough many ants and grass were long

Everything 100% should perhaps see that all the roundabouts get their own remote further is the place stunning I will be able to retire here
