Quite the surprise given the image that the heavy trucks in the area give. I found it an enjoyable experience having breakfast here. The farmers breakfast with the 100g steak hit the spot.The establishment does have a historical theme to it and one gets taken back in time. Another reminder of times gone by, quite a stark reminder of mans thinking as shown in the news paper articles from the 40s that are part of the decor in the bathroom.Would recommend a visit again 😊

Fantastic food! Neat, beautiful buildings. Very nice Chalets. You definitely get more than you expect. We came for a meal and are impressed by the friendly staff, delicious food and the heritage of the town. We are very Satisfied.

Aircons dont work. Carvery,2 of the meats is tuff.vegtables is cold.Desert rolypoly still raw. Waiters way too little for too many people. Virtually self service. Owner not there.Understaff a big problem. Prices for meals fair.

Very popular and I can see why. The question is: Why not! Very well priced - great food. Everyone knows about the Sunday buffet. Every Sunday from 11:30 to 14:00. Ill definately return for the buffet. Be sure to book in advance.The lot of old relics are displayed in the private musuem.The sparkling pool is an added bonus for the guest rooms.

Nice place, but dont sleep over on New Years eve when there is a group of guests having a party with their own sound system. Played their music till well after 4 in the morning. The selection of music wasnt bad and luckily the kids had no problem sleeping.

What an excellent experience we had!! Me and my wife went there for a Sunday lunch and we had a ball! The place itself and the staff instantly gave of this air of hospitality. Its a comforting environment, very laid back and you instantly enjoy everything about it!

Very dusty rooms

This guesthouse is very dirty. The mattresses are old and dirty. I was put in a sharing room of 5 people and I was alone. There were pieces of grass on the carpet. There is no soap dispenser in the shower. There was insect powder on the entrance of the shower. The overall experience was not a good one. I was not settled at all.

Boerewors R25 ; 1 egg .tomato and toast.Requested eggs soft not brokenTook a while to come .egg hard 2 pieces tomato very small even if menu said 3.wors seemed to be 50g and yesterday cooked .very overdone and dry. Dissapointed ++. Waitress at least friendly and assisted as good as possible

Very nice Guesthouse. Great food, well prepared at decent rates. Small irritations - pub/bar music was still very loud and blaring at 02:30 in the morning. Not good if you want to sleep.

Be careful when making booking with Sonja. She quotes you R 250 to R 350 per room but when you arrive there she charges you R 499 excl vat. Rip off joint.

This lodge was a nightmare, dirty sheets, dirty towels, dirty floors. I could nt even take a shower, spider webs on the roof everywhere. Ugly bedding, skorokoro beds. Unfortunately I dont want to give them a one star butI am forced to before I post my review. I am definetely not sleeping at Whynot Guesthouse EVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!The staff is very friendly and the food is good but the rooms are a different story!
