Took my son to a nice lunch for his birthday, waiter was very friendly and helpfull.Tables and chairs was clean and food ordered was received correctly and well prepared. Really nice atmosphere and close to a childrens play area.

Smell, listen and feel the relaxation times. I always enjoy going there as I make memories in both working and private life there.

We had a great breakfast there. The Espresso 🤔, was better after the second attempt.

I enjoyed the fact that my kids could play safely while I conducted a meeting. The coffe was lovely and the service was very good.

The service was real quick, competent and friendly. The menu is neat and easy to browse and make a selection.Our food was delevired all at once and no one had to wait for someone else. The food tasted amazing as always.The restaurant has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. There are bathrooms closeby in the same centre.

I am very disappointed. My friends and I came to Caramellos Preller Square for afternoon tea. We ordered cuppachinos and cake. The cuppachinos were good, but the cakes were all stale. We ordered carrot cake, baked cheese cake, black forrest cake and crepes with cinnamon & sugar. The carrot cake was crumbly and dry. The baked cheese cake was chalky and the black forrest cake very dry and tasteless The pancakes were ice cold, thick and without any sugar. Indeed a disappointment seeing that we have eaten at other Caramellos before and everything was good and fresh. We now know to give this place a wide berth next time we have a craving for something sweet......

When you compare against e.g. a M&B, this brand wins hands down. Its never over populated. Even though I use a coffee shop more for catching up with work than for their restaurant, they lack nothing in fare and pricing is competitive.All in all, the better choice if destination for me.

Good for coffee and a chat and for light lunches. Service was very good and waiter attentive. Will definitely visit again when in the Free State.

Definitely not the cheapest.The waiter that assisted us was also very friendly and helpful.The only reason I gave a four was due to our table struggling to hear each other. Was a bit noisy. I am sure it could be bad timing as our previous visit was much better.I would most definitely recommend Caramellos in Northridge Mall.

I enquired about platters for a party. Got immediate response, even with photos ... and then nothing! Send them an email again, asking whether they will be able to do the platters or not. Again, got no response. So l made other arrangements. At 07:00, mind you, the morning of the party, they phoned me. Needless to say, l didnt even bother to pick up.

What an awful experience walking into a restaurant 10am, smelling like a bar because of all the smoke from the smokers area.Ive never been so disgusted in my life.Then suggesting us non-smokers (with children present) sit by a window and open it for fresh air, while the sleet is falling and temp is 8°C.Caramellos get your priorities straight. There is a reason why smoking is not allowed in public places.

They need to improve their tapas menu. It is too salty...

Food did not taste fresh.

We had the Eggs Benedict and asked for soft eggs. The poached egg white was under-cooked and the yellow overcooked. After sending back and receiving the same again, we found out that they make the poached eggs in the microwave. At R89, they shouldnt be giving you cheat or lazy poached eggs. The breakfast consists of 1 slice rye bread, halved with 2 poached eggs, quality ham and cheese, 2 cherry tomatoes and hollandaise sauce. Hardly worth it if they are not using the proper method of preparing the poached egg. Really disappointed that we couldnt get the runny yellow - the favorite part of any breakfast with eggs. The only compliment that I had, was for the waiter, Sandile. Despite being a unhappy client, he still treated us well and didnt change his soft and kind manner. The manager could only offer us a that is just how we do it (Visited 16/11/2019 +- 10h00)
