This place has a great location with beautiful views! If you are an outdoors person who like to hike and be outside they have 6 hiking trails, horse rides, and so many activities. Ladies there is also a full spa with lots of treatments. I absolutely loved the full body massage!! If you have a big family this place is great with lots af activities for the kids so no need to worry you can enjoy your cocktail in the square while they enjoy supervised arts and crafts, movies in the auditorium, ice cream competitions etc. Overall a very nice place for any type of family.

What a wonderful experience! Fantastic stimulating exhilarating! Wonderful set up and layout with so many leisure activities! Accommodation is top notch. Walk g trails magnificent. Was able to find hartebeest on the fields barely 500 meters away from the main complex. Lovely river and waterfall. Lush greenery and mountains! A definite treat and a must do for the entire family! Astonishing place. Lo e food and oh yes bottomless coffee for only R34.00!!!! A resident peacock right at the main complex. Sports channels on the TV too.

Beautiful setting. Friendly staff, however, our unit was not in a very good state. Lots of spider webs, oven was not working properly, curtain rails were loose, couches were grubby.

The resort is wonderful. Just one comment. The chalets sleeps 6 but the outdoor table only seats 4 people. The resort should correct this.

Alpine Heath Resort, peaceful and tranquil. chalet 52 self catering was very comfortable, clean and cozy, excellent wifi and view. We were there in Aug 2021 to celebrate birthdays. We enjoyed the many trails and highlight was horse riding and the views. I feel that all the staff at reception could be much more hospitable and accommodating which to me is very important. The little shop had groceries and interesting items.

So tranquil...perfect for a getaway from the city! The staff are friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

The place was amazing. Surrounded by the beautiful mountains. The rooms were beautiful...clean linens and theee most comfortable beds ever! The stuff was chilled and very helpful. Our stay was the best.

This is a great break away with kids entertainment and a few hiking trails (you can even run it too if it is your cup of tea). Swimming pools, fly fishing, great views, friendly staff, the self catering unit was clean and well equipped. This was a chilled breakaway place

Treated to the some of the most beautiful views one can hope to expect. Beautiful chalets, very well maintained and importantly, COVID compliant. Nestled away in a quiet corner in the Northern Drakensberg range, its among the easiest ways to just switch off from the bustle of reality and relax in what seems like a different world. Lots to do and some fantastic places to visit in the vicinity. Overall, definitely worth returning to.

This was an awesome vacation for our family. The place was spotlessly clean, Though the activities were limited due to Covid, there was enough to keep the kids safely occupied. I would definitely go back again; it was worth every cent we paid.

We booked this resort for a 3 day family getaway just after Easter 2021. We all enjoyed the beautiful views and nature there - simply amazing. The self catering units were great too, we enjoyed doing braais there. The kids had a absolute great time, we did some horses riding which they enjoyed a lot. Theres a Bar for the evening drinks and a coffee shop we used for breakfast with fantastic staff. All in all a super experience.

We just love getting away from it all and heading to our favorite place for a few days of rest and relaxation

We stayed here for two nights, over the Easter weekend. The chalets are beautifully situated, with sweeping views of the beautiful Berg landscape. The chalets were neat and clean, and serviced daily by lovely cleaning staff. The two rooms on the ground floor were reasonably sized, sleeping two people per room. The loft room was spacious and was en suite. I must mention that the bathrooms were very nice - clean, spacious and well appointed. I was a bit disappointed with the kitchen as I felt that it didnt have enough crockery, cutlery, etc. I would have also liked some more activities for the kids and teenagers. So all in all, a nice place to stay, but a bit overpriced for what you get.

One of the most serene atmosphere one can ever experience with untouched views of breath-taking mountain surroundings. You wake up to the twitter of birds and a crisp breeze in the window. The sunrise over the valley is mesmerizing. Sheer beauty...heres a place that you can take your family to and be guaranteed of unlimited joys... TBC 😉😉

Alpine Heath does not deserve to be rated as a 4 star establishment. The chalet that we were given was very dirty. The dishes still has food particles on it. The shower was clogged and the water was not flowing down properly. Furthermore, the flusher on the toilet was broken, causing to the cistern not to fill up properly.

Spectacular place e and friendly staff. Just ensure youre better stocked on wood (! Its not ok to run out during a cold front) and take care of personal details like a plug that fits the bath, DSTV package could use more kid friendly channels

Great place, well maintained. Lots of activities. Only complaint is the drains need cleaning as our room shower seemed blocked (water gathers as you shower) and had an awful smell. But still a great holiday.

Stayed for 2 nights in room 64.Beautiful views.The accommodation is quite dated but it works.Still over priced for the product offering However the service we received was horrifying. We had booked for a horse back ride session for an hour at 3pm.we had to be there at 230pm for a safety brief and there was noone at the stables to assist us.Called the reception and got help 2 hours later!!The next morning someone had parked us in and we couldnt leave because noone knew who the car belonged to.The security and reception only were able to figure it out 3 hours later(apparently they cannot account for every car that drives in because there is only 2 of them and they cant be everywhere at the same time)and we had to be at our hike at 7am.We left the hotel at 8am and we had been waiting since 5am.Pathetic and wont be staying there again.The manager was too busy to give us a courtesy call.

Was beautiful and tranquil but could have been better. The deluxe chalets are not up to par with the price they come at and stunk of sewrage.Staff were amazing and the rest of the resort is incredible.

Clean chalets. Slow delivery of service. On one day of our stay we were made to wait at the gate while other waiting guests relieved themselves on the side of the road

Had a terrible experience at alpine heath resort which was not resolved on departure... Management noted my contact information and promised to contact me to resolve this issue.. It has been 2 weeks since and up to date no contact from the resort... Very poor customer service...

Tranquility, fresh mountain air, spacious grounds, fabulous walking trails, comfortable, well- kept units. Makes this a great break-away from the big city. Meals in the coffee shop are delicious and fresh with friendly staff everywhere. Definitely will return.

Gorgeous place. The mountains are majestic. Come with everything youll ever need for your number of days. The weather can be unpredictable but it was very warm now in April.

Fun filled extremely exciting place to visit for the whole family. All activities like hiking, table tennis, squash, tennis courts, mountain biking, swimming , putt putt and chess are just some off the entrainment. Throughly enjoyed it and will definitely recommend this place to everyone to visit.

What an amazing place. I was lucky enough to go in the off season. It was beautiful with lots to do. The view is like nothing else on earth. Stunning. The horse riding was incredible and something everybody could do. The staff were kind and helpful. The barman were great.

Excellent location! Views are majestic!Chalets need a revamp... Carpets are old and filthy in the bedrooms. No air-conditioning.Housekeeping is done hurriedly and carelessly even after raising my concerns with the cleaners.Phones in the chalet do not work to contact reception. Rowdy neighbours blasting music late into the night.Overall poor management with regard to the above.Will think twice before booking at Alpine Heath again.

The cottages are cozy but could do with a couple more fans &/or air-conditioning for those hot summer nights. The resort facilities and activities are great. The bar has a chilled atmosphere, loved it. Overall, the Drakensberg is a great escape, very relaxing and peaceful.

An excellent resort perfect for couples, families, anyone actually. It has a wide variety of on site activities to keep both young and old busy. Alternatively you can simply rest and savour the stunning views as it sits at the foothills of the majestic northern Berg. Their Covid protocols are very good. A suggestion is to ensure that all items are clearly priced in the village shop. Overall my family and I would definitely consider a return visit.

Absolute waste of time and money, chalets are run down, no air con or fan. Blinds are broken, ice trays broken, beds hard and lumpy. On site store and bar poorly stocked. No charcoal or firewood available. Fridge faulty. Telephone in room doesn’t work. The only thing worth noting is the mountain view, further than that this resort is extremely underwhelming. An absolute waste of MONEY. Wouldn’t come back even if it were Free

Alpine is situated beautifully with each chalet being mountain facing. It is peaceful, clean, stunning. The spa was an extraordinary experience. One of the best full body massages. The staff are really pleasant and friendly. The hikes have varying degrees of difficulty and the one we did, the blue trail, was not strenuous, but crossed streams, and a waterfall, a valley and ended on the top of a mountain. There are numerous activities for the kids. There is also a store, in case anything was forgotten, with the essentials. Altogether, an unforgettable experience

Very nice in general. Epic views. Lots to do.Just had a bad experience with th3 cleanliness of our unit outside. Lots of sharp objects in the grass. Old food, bones, sharp sticks, broken glass... They did make an attempt to clean it after notification.

The restaurant let them down with very poor trout salad.The staff and accommodation is excellent.

My fellow South Africans. This is a great place for the family but be warned that you best off bringing your own alcohol;charcoal/wood and food. Everything is at least double the price here.

My family and I spent 2 nights at the resort. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The chalets have all the required amenities. Unfortunatley we had a wet weekend and water entered the master bedroom. Staff did offer to move us to another chalet. The village market has a good selection of groceries should you forget any items.

Beautiful resort. A nice getaway location

My stay at the resort was a pleasant one. We had an issue with our refrigerator at the chalet and the friendly staff assisted with a replacement. I have one suggestion for the resort and that is to have more indoor activities for the toddlers. I would recommend this resort to anyone wanting some time away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

BE WARNED - they do NOT honour their cancellation policy. We cancelled within the stipulated cancellation period but more than a month later and we are still struggling to get our money back.

Beautiful, scenic resort. Covid protocols in place. Lots of activities on site for both adults and children, including a convenience store, health and beauty spa, games room, gym, bicycle hire, guided and self tours, horse riding, etc. Chalets very neat however could do with a bit of upgrading especially the kitchen, cupboards had a damp musty smell. Do not pay any staff for any services provided like laundry. We had an issue with the laundry lady where she asked us to pay her the cash and upon departure we were told that we still owe for laundry. Management however sorted out. Horse riding and hiking a must👌

Paid laundry lady on delivery of our laundry in cash,however she did not pay the money in.We were left with a laundry bill when we checked out.The manger resolved the problem.Resort must inform patrons not to pay Staff in cash.Check in was efficient and professional. One of the worst experiences of my berg holiday. The beds in one bedroom had an ant infestation for duration of my 5 day stay. The remaining bedrooms had birds in the ceiling. One bathroom door did not lock. Carpets are threadbare in places. I have been here on quite a few occasions and this was definitely the worst experience. To say that I will not patronise the place in future is putting it mildly.

The facilities are wirn down and not taken care of. The area is beautiful and peaceful, lots of outdoor activities to do around. The housekeeping staff and caretakers are not very well trained, they tend to clean a bit and are rude a bit.

Best place to visit post Covid. Beautiful and scenic. Perfect family getaway. Dont need to leave the resort for anything. They have a lovely restaurant, pools and horse riding. They have different hiking trails to suit every need. Beautiful pics of the milky way and starry night. My 2 year old had a blast. Will def visit again soon.

The mosley was not fresh, tea was cold with cold milk as well.We had our own catering, only had their breakfast which wasnt good.Their rooms are beautiful, the place is very nice.
