There arent a lot of restaurant options in Chintsa, so its great that at least one of them -- The Barefoot Cafe -- is fabulous.  First of all, the décor is cheery and bright, with surfboards on the walls.The staff are cheerful and know their menu; always nice. We had both the pizza and the fish and calamari with chips and salad. Actually, we tried several pizzas. Everything was fresh, tasty, satisfyingly spiced, and good portions.Especially nice was the price; perfect for backpackers and for us.

A unique local restaurant/bar In Chintsa East village. This is a casual place with great meal options or if you just want a coffee or beer. The restaurant and bar setup allows for seated dining or if you just want a few drinks go sit at the bar. They have a friendly, relaxing atmosphere so you are bound to strike a conversation with locals and visitors alike. Quirky decor and art add to the charm.

Nice little place. Service was excellent and our waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was okay, burger was overcooked and dry. Good for a quick Sunday night dinner.

Nice place. I ate the fish and calamari with chips and salad and it was a nice portion and tastes very good. The pizza I tried from my friends was also very delicious. I like the interior design. They also offer nice specials like happy hours, for example shooters day, with extra cheap shooters. Its only a walk away from the beach, so its nice to eat there after or during a beach day.

Service is good, no delays at all. Prices are fair as well! Definitely recommend a sit down here....

Had some good Pizzas and their own craft beer. My son loved it but it reminded me of wet dog. Overall very friendly staff and good food. Worth relaxing here.

Very well priced and good menu selection

Super Good food, with amazingly friendly bar tender/waiter attending us (Apologies for forgetting your name). We thought it was a nice touch for the chef to personally come offer us alternatives when they ran out of calamari. Definitely a local hangout but worth a stop for excellent food and drinks in a laid back ambiance.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome place to be in. I was part of the volunteer group called ISV. A group of us had the honor to live in a community in Chinsta. The Barefoot Cafe was the place to be. Very friendly staff. Awesome food! Fantastic drinks. My favorite was the Jimmy Slade!!! I will come back here again in the future. You can count on it!

If youre wearing shoes, youre over dressed. I loved it. The staff are friendly, they have an amazing menu and cater for the whole family!

It was horrible.. I ordered a cocktail, definitely was not to my taste. Just plain vodka topped with butlers blue, dash of coke. Had to ask waiter for a separate glass with crushed ice and water to try and attempt to drink the R50 cocktail which I couldnt stomach. Left it there, my suggestion ... dont call it cocktails, rather just say mixer cold drink with booze and ice .. wouldnt harm anyone to crush abit of the ice and play around with fresh tropical ingredients seeing though were in the tropical metropolis come on Barefoot Cafe, effort doesnt harm but improves ones business. Waited a solid 20minutes for a waiter to actually come and help after the one brother had said hed be back in few minutes to come take our food order. We eventually flagged down another brother and asked him for a big bowl of chips, chips were hand cut, hot and crispy quite delicious we enjoyed them but the cleanliness, look and feel of the cafe was rather off putting and we couldnt imagine ordering further from their menu, chips were a safety zone for us. In a nutshell, after the revolting cocktail and Emrald Vale beers we drove up to The Club C for a much cleaner, warm, fresh, ourdoorsy, friendly, inviting atmosphere. PS the Emerald Vale pint is R60 at Barefoot Cafe and is a whopping R20 cheaper at R40 a pint at The C Club. My advice, until Barefoot does a serious cleanup act , dont even waste your time nor money. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
