Shabeer deserves more than 5 stars; the lady where payment was made was however very surly and not interested in what she was doing which is why my overall rating is 4 stars.

I love Makro, why? Since each time visit, Makro always showed me either unexpected new items or super inexpensive items, the frequent discount activities and regular promotions really make Makro became stronger sales chain Champion somehow. I mean, fairly to say, not all items are cheapest ones if compare similar ones in other super markets displayed, however Makro definitely is the only one, always introduce unique or price-unbeatable new items to customers. So Why not visit Makro if possible? I never regret to spend money shopping in Makro, most probably Makro is the sole Storage Warehouse style chains in South Africa, i have but no other options. Hoping Makro will not disappointMe in the future.

Very poor customer service by Customer care. I bought a new Samsung fridge .When it was connected, water was leaking from the water dispenser.I phoned Makro last week and complained. A Technician came over and tried to sort but to no avail. Last night water leaked the entire night from the fridge onto my brand new laminate floors and brand new cupboards. I phoned Makro cust care this morning and requested URGENT intervention and specifically requested that a Manager calls me back urgently so that we can avoid further damages but unfortunately the Manager did not see it fit to return my call. This is not the service that we require from a Brand famous store. The after sales service is appalling to say the least

Nice environment to shop in. Effective and efficient workers. Aisles well laid out. Friendly staff. The only problem observed now is the amount of sales guys and girls running around the store, wanting to sell funeral covers and makro credit cards. Their presence is too overwhelming on customers.No social distancing, they invade your personal space in the store. They need to be orientated about all Covid 19 precautionary measures. Its not about mask wearing alone. They have to maintain social distancing when interacting with potential clients. Please, this needs to be addressed fast.

Clean friendly store. Usually do my monthly shopping here. The store has almost anything you might need for a home or small business. Only thing I dislike it the queues . Really think with all the technology around now days, there should be a quick and easy way to check out all you buy. Really think all Major stores need to invest in a better check out system.

Everything is very well organised, theres plenty of inventory, staff are very helpful and prices are very fair. If youre a pensioner make sure that your card shows this, you get very good discounts every day. Lots of parking.

My wife forgot her phone at Gym section in the store and the manager took it to security officers at the store and when I came just looking for it, they told me they found it exactly where she forgot it.They did security check to ascertain if it really belongs to my wife then handed it over to me. Lots of parking. Not crowded even though it is month end. Good prices. Helpful assistants. Only problem is the discount cant be seen when paying so you dont know if Makro made a mistake in loading at the till point. Wide variety of products. One stop shopping. Fresh fruit and vegetables too.

Very long queue to enter at 9h00, inside the store was ok, though very short staffed.Queue to pay was even longer, but bearable. But, at the till i pulled my mask lower to speak to the manager Liezel, she was rude, stating i will not speak to you until you put your mask back on, put your mask back on, put your mask back on. She was more than 1.5metre from me. I dont mind her telling me that, but barking it??? So not on!!

Bought myself s small stainless steel braai today, I wish it could have been manufactured in South Africa but no, China, everything seems to be made in China these days. It doesnt seem fair somehow, a country with huge social problems can swamp the world with their products which creates problems for many other countries.

Makro is my favourite one stop shop. There is always ample parking and family friendly. It is such a pleasurable shopping experience and all the staff are so helpful.We opened a tuckshop business last year and I was dealing with Mandy Gumede and she is the best person to get quick responses and prices from. So professional and efficient.All order queries were dealt with promptly and deliveries were done exactly when they said they would deliver.To date we have not had ANY issues with any purchases from Makro and I will continue to support them.

Ample parking, also for disabled and the elderly. Makro not always cheaper than your major supermarkets on grocery items. But one stop shopping for groceries,clothing, electronics and appliances. Their specials are worth looking out for and make a visit worthwhile.

The cashiers attitudes are Awful and they will never help you pack if you bring your own bags. There were 2 packers at 1 cashier and none at ours and they were just standing and watching. Pathetic!

Whats sad is last week I gave you 5 stars, but today because of your un trained stuff I feel like changing it to less than one. I bought the charcoal/ briquettes which says any 3 for R100. The discount didnt go through at bulk tills so I pointed it out to the cashier who then refused to call for any help and said if I want I. Must go get the sign and show her. I got the sign then the supervisor and cashier stood there for what felt like forever trying to telle that any 3 ment any 3 of the same kind. I have been shopping with makro all my life between 30 to 40years. Please correct me if I am wrong,.. But When I see a sign that states any fixed quantity of the items,.. its means any mixed however I like... Its extremely frustrating dealing with your staff who choose to argue with and old customers instead of asking for assistance from someone who actually knows their job.

I recently purchased a 4 plate electric stove. i was conned by makro sales man and bling installation sales man into taking an installation service. Was told by Makro sales man and bling sales man that Defy will not honour my warranty if i dont get 3 wires connected by bling. The service in this store is horrible and filled with dis honest people working there.

This Makro is utterly useless, when ever theres a special advertised they never have stock of that item, even if you go on the very first day of that special theres no stock, their butchery never has their advertised meat either, you ask the butcher and they have never seen their own products advertised, its sad that Makro Springfield burnt down otherwise I would never waste my time going to this one

Its a Makro, big and quite busy. Lots of parking which is always a good thing. Just wish the Makro group would come up with a better system for the till slip checking at the exits, its always crowded and chaotic. The new card payment isle/till works great to move the queue, nice idea.

I used to think Macro was the place to shop until I purchased a grass trimmer/trimtech in May 2020. It has gone for repairs since brand new to date. No joy from staff. I phone several times. Spoke to Pat. Promised to get back after getting report from suppliers so that youll can make decision.Very very upset and disappointed and frustrated.

Normally we would give a 5 star review.We bought a bicycle for my son 3 months ago.He has ridden it 3 times on the road.The third time his rear wheel seized up and the front brake pad came off.Bearing in mind this bicycle was assembled in Makro,it was the only way to keep your warranty.We take it back to Makro today and we are told that it is only the framework under warranty if we wanted it fixed it would be at our own expense.We were asked if we had received a booklet with the bike and we said no we hadnt.They basically apologised and let us go on our way.We let it be known that we wont be shopping there again and they did not seem phased.Surely this could have been handled better.regards.Darren Flay.

Rating in particular for the salespeople. Not the store this branch is brilliant clean tidy convenient well set up and looks the part. Salespeople are lazy busy chatting in groups had to walk up and ask for assistance regarding a tv. Thereafter a kitchen salesman Armstrong in particular was untidly dressed half his shirt in his pants other half out top buttons open. I managed to buy my oven but was rushed through it nevertheless got what I wanted.
