I booked the cabin for my boyfriends 29th birthday present and it did not disappoint! The view is incredible and there was always zebra and spring buck running around, the hosts were easy to get hold off and we just overall had a wonderful time!

We had the most wonderful time. Such a gem, a stones throw away from the city, but far enough to feel like you are on holiday. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Waking up to a herd of springbok grazing on the front lawn is breathtaking and exactly what the doctor ordered. Not to mention the wrap around balcony, with 5 star home amenities. Thank you for such a lovely space to have called home for a few days, will most definitely be returning.

What a gorgeous find! Beautiful views. Very well kitted out, comfortable in warm or cool weather. I loved the various places to sit, eat and relax. We will definitely be back.

The Tulbagh Mountain Cabin is a hidden gem. The cabin is idyllic, the quintessential log cabin, very well equipped and stylishly furnished. There are multiple seating areas on the wrap around deck to take in the beautiful views of the Witzenberg mountains and the wildlife roaming free, we saw a heard of springboks, eland boks and zebra everyday.The swinging lounge baskets were my favourite spot for my morning coffee. The starts at night were also stunning.This cabin is perfect for a quick weekend breakaway as it’s not too far from the city.The service was warm and efficient. We will define you be returning.

We had a great stay! The place was really easy to find and checking in was as smooth as can be.The cabin was clean and had most of the amenities that we needed. It has beautiful and serene views which was very relaxing!It was truly a gem of a find. We will definitely be back!

What a gem! The cabin is beautifully appointed and has everything you may need. We visited in winter, and the toasty log fire kept us snug, and I am sure the air-conditioned will be a welcome feature during hot summers. Outside areas abound and the swinging chairs are a must with a good book, overlooking the mountains. I highly recommend this little piece of paradise!

Absolutely amazing experience. So much better in person. The sounds of the river below and the calls of nature really take you out of the city and you cannot put a price on the tranquility you feel when here. You wake up with a fresh cup of coffee with a view of the Zebra and Springbok grazing on the green delta below your cabin. Everything you might need or want is in your cabin at your disposal. I would go back here in a heartbeat for a longer stay. And its dog friendly!

It is the most beautiful experience Ive had in a while. Restful, serene, and very comfortable. The best place for remote working - great wifi! :D

The decor and attention to detail shows that you have been inspired to provide your guests with a unique and welcoming environment that makes you feel if you are in a home, not just another guesthouse or hotelroom We felt like it was our slice of heaven for the two days that we were there. And we cant wait to return to our log cabin in the mountains and be able to sit drinking our coffee listening to the sound of the river and birds. We had everything we needed and more and all we can say is wow wow wow.💛💛💛💛

We have visited the Tulbagh Mountain Cabin twice, and we look forward to returning time and time again. It is honestly the coziest, most beautiful retreat. The cabin has everything to make your stay immensely enjoyable and memorable. The host, Deon, goes out of his way with personal touches. The cabin defines what a mini-break should feel like - it’s fun, beautiful and relaxing. The perfect place for a family!

Wonderful host and nothing can beat that early morning coffee in the sunshine watching the zebras grazing below. Our family had a wonderful time, we didn’t want to leave ! The Tulbagh Mountain Cabin is great. It is ideally placed with a fantastic view of the area where springbok and hartebees roam in the late afternoon. It is ideal for late winter as the cabin gets the afternoon sun. A hammock and fire place are available (heating is essential in winter). The owners make one feel welcome - nonalcoholic bubbly and rusks were awaiting our arrival. Frequent WhatsApp communication by the owners. Therefore, be prepared to check messages regularly. On the whole, we can recommend the cabin. As it is mostly open plan, we suggest you chose the people you go with well (everything what is said and done is heard everywhere). The road to the place does need attention. Laborers with chain saws start work before 8 am which is a definite drawback.

Excellent accommodation for a romantic couples break away. Attention to detail was excellent.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time and enjoyed the rain in that beautiful setting! The time at Tulbagh Mountain Cabin is well spend and its a massage for the soul! We will definitely come again!

Just spent a wonderful birthday at Tulbagh Mountain Cabin - pure luxury in the most amazing setting. We were graced with a visit from the resident zebras and springboks. Wow - certainly a birthday to remember.

The cabin is beautifully located in a stunning valley surrounded by the massive Witzenberg mountain range. Fantastic views of bokkies and zebra. The house is fully equipped with all mod cons, including TV with Netfix. The house is beautifully decorated with interesting pieces. The master bedroom upstairs is the best room in the house. We made use of everything, from the complimentary coffee and rusks, Netflix, wood fire (needed in the winter), ate on the verandah, sat and relaxed and watched the view, and had a wonderful afternoon at the lapa where we enjoyed a lekker braai. It was my friends 60th birthday and the owners Deon and Karen had arranged bubbles as a gift. We also enjoyed doing one of the 3 walks, an easy 7km around the area. The stars and the milky way at night are totally stunning. Ideal for two couples or a couple with 2-3 children.Would highly recommend this getaway and would love to return.
