Apparently due to cable theft they are closed, but the online bookings are going on so we pitched up after getting a booking not knowing they are closed just to be told we can come back on another day... need to drive back home 120km empty handed

I had a positive experience. The queue was not too long if you arrived early. There was only a slight confusion about where to go once you got into the building but I found if you approach the people with respect and ask for help, they are willing to assist you. Overall I was not there too long. I arrived early and my process was done within 2 hours. I would give this centre a high rating. The people working there were helpful.

Service falls far bellow my expectation. I booked for my Professional driving Permit (PdrP) online and was issued a slot for 10:20, spent 4 hours at center. Numerous queues standing under the scorching heat of the sun before you get to be assisted. Still have to go to the bank to pay for drivers license/PdrP after you have completed application at the center. Multiple payments to be done instead of one full payment. I paid R96.00 at the center, have to pay R110.00 at the bank and still have to bring R300.00 30 days later.

Personally I wish I could give a minus 5 star review here, this place is not even worth a 1 star. The biggest problem with this place has is the lack of professionalism and Management, the staff are less then helpful there is no organization in this place, I personally stood for 5 hours in a que for a driver license renewal. Upon entering the building I noticed that there are only 2 eye test stations out of 6 that have staff operating them, though I saw that many staff just standing around chatting and joking. The worst of this experience was that the staff do not care if they are halfway testing you and there lunch time comes up they just leave you sitting there, when you ask someone else for assistance they simply say you have to wait until the person returns. To the Manger of this place you should hang your head in shame for your miss management of this place and you should discipline your staff and read your mission statement you have on the wall of your Enterance.

The official at enquiries is plain rude. She wanted my old drivers license card to make a photocopy, when I asked for my card back, she shouted I said go to room 3! I said but you have my card & ignored me. I went out to join the queue to room 3, which in unmarked...but I later decided to go back for my card. As I entered the door, an unknown person to me who was behind me on that queue handed me my card. Why did this official refuse to return my card to me in the first place? And decide to give it to a person unknown to me! I wonder if she can provide that kind of service to her sister or her loved one. I can give credit to one official who took my picture & fingerprints. She understands that she is at work & there to serve. This office must go back to practicing Batho Pele.From Penelope.

Place needs to be renovated. Its too stuffy and doesnt really give you a welcome atmosphere. The lines inside are a bit confusing as no-one really directs you. What Ive noticed that people they know are been given preferential treatment as their clients are first served.

Apart from mandatory masking required and semi social distancing, no other covid 19 protocols evident - no sanitiser available, no sanitising of equipment (finger print recording machines, finger print pads, pens etc) used multiple times by many different people. Staff not particularly friendly but tried to be as helpful as possible.

Went back for the second time to pick up my license after 8 weeks. There are 4 staff members in the office as I am standing there at 14:15. Apparently they dont work on Mondays. I asked politely if I can just pick up my license. and was told: No sorry we are not supposed to work, you have to come back tomorrow It would have taken the person 5min to assist me.

Horrible experience. Stood in the queue for over 4 hours, went through the entire process of photos (twice) fingerprints, eye test, etc only to be told at the cashier that my online booking had expired - even though THEY WERE CLOSED on the day that I drove all the way through on my booking day. Took me three months just to secure my booking and lost a whole day of leave for that day, all for nothing!!! They deserve 0 star rating!

Long quees,many people sent back with the letter to come back within 10days,booking online doesnt work as you only get notified when you thete that you must go and come back within 10 days.Gate closes at 12h00,but you are booked for 14h00.

Honestly speaking..... My experience was extremely bad. Just imagine..... I stay in Kempton Park and I was forced to drive all the way to Vereeniging to renew my license card as mine had already expired last year. Being forced to use the e natis online booking system, that was the only open spot that I could find. But honestly speaking..... THE WHOLE ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM IS USELESS AND POINTLESS.....Cos even though I had a booking, my appointment was for 08hrs 30, no one even asked for the appointment information, as I showed it to 2 different people who work there and I asked. I was forced to get in the que and wait almost 2 hours with the rest of the people. And then making things WORSE..... THE GOVERNMENT PEOPLE THAT WERE THERE WORKING THAT DAY WERE SO SO SO VERY VERY VERY RUDE TO PEOPLE. THERE WAS A LADY SCREAMING AND SHOUTING AT PEOPLE AT THE TOP OF HER VOICE. AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL AND NOT INTERESTED. IT WAS LIKE THEY WERE DOING US A FAVOUR BY BEING THERE OR HELPING US.....!!!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING.....!!!!! Just my 2 cents worth.

Short queues. Snappy processing. I was renewing my driving license card and I was done within 50 minutes, start to finish. Could do with better communication as to where to be processed. Attitude of staff in general was relaxed and cordial, with the odd exception. Plenty parking outside premises.

1 star is more than what they deserve. After spending 5 hours waiting for the first available slot in GAUTENG to get a new drivers license card, I was struck with the misfortune of getting the Vereeniging License department. I showed up at 6:45 on the day of my booking after driving for 1h30 only to be told by the security guard that they havent opened since the move to Covid Level 2. No email notifications, no call that the booked slot has been canceled. Total incompetence of the highest level

This place needs new management and workers... There are people there who controls them that does not even work there. A driving school instructor with his accomplice are running the show.. walks inn and out the falicility as they own the place..Those who pay him gets to skip the line..It took us 4 hours for a lousy 20 min procedure..Secondly there is no procedures as we have to help each other and to top it all off the card machine does not work but get told when you must pay instead of notifying us as we are standing in a dreadful line in the sun.Save South Africa 🇿🇦👏🙌 !!!

There are no boards or clear notices on where to go 1st 2nd 3rd etc. The building is in an apauling state. Staff are abrupt. However as I booked my licence and travelled from Pretoria East the process moved quite quickly once I one where and what to do. Major was very helpful.

RUDE! All the staff! Online booking with a time slot is a joke! First come first serve! When doing eye test I asked for wet wipes to clean the thumb print scanner and the place you put your forehead when doing eye test. He simply said he does not have. Not even asking his colleagues or making an effort. Poor management and the staff barks at people like they are dogs!Generous one star!

Not wholly organised in terms of what to do when you arrive. Was told to stand in one queue only to be told im in the wrong one. Then i wasnt told to fill out forms when joining the new queue. Luckily the gentleman behind me had a pen so i was saved. Also, the etf machine wasnt working so i had to speed to an atm and made it back just before they closed on me. Actual services were done efficiently so its a case of better communication beforehand so as not to waste everybodies time.

Fast process and mostly effective (minority of the staff have poor people skills). Went for card licence renewal, late Sept. (online booking essential) and collection, late Oct. (once online system indicates available to collect, go with no need for booking).Both days the process was speedy; about 45min max if arrive early. Recommend getting an eye exam from an optometrist beforehand as the test machines are not the easiest to operate, and theyre not sanitised after each test.

I would say very poor n alot of bribery as we stood in the line alot of the applicants after us were Goin forward doin the same renewal of drives license. Issue was raised but as usually they say it doesnt happen. And they very strict on how things work there. But stood in the line for just over 4 hours. I must say that when the manager said we will get our license renewed than the 50 people that were there manage to have their eye test all other paper work done in about 2 hours. Wow amazing. Thats my 2 ster is for the manager who made sure the work got done.Thank u manager

I went to re new my license card and it wasnt a good experience. The lady doing eye test was very rude. They all have such sour faces and bad attitudes. Its sad that these people are getting paid as its their jobs to do it but they are so rude and arrogant. I even heard another gentlemen arguing with them. The workers are just not pleasant.

Vereeniging seem to have Aced drivers licence renewals. The process is efficient and the staff are friendly and helpful. I was in and out in around an hour with the application. Collection took less than 15 minutes. Full marks from me.

Very bad, their system for eye test is manipulated, you fail without seeing anything and as such you are advised to go to the Dr for the test. If you cant see from their system, why do you see all numbers from the Drs system with one eye? Corruption!!!

Very dissapointed...bThe staff, especially the one lady that does eye tests does not have the fairtest idea what the words public relations entitles. This staff needs to realize that they are PUBLIC SERVANTS in the employment of the South African taxpayers. How can she just fail an eye test because the mask fogs up the glasses after standing in a queue in the blistering sun for more than an hour... After arguments and lodging complain to the supervisor eye test was done with another official without the mask fogging up glasses and passed with no problem. Really ????? This is centre needs to jack-up their public relations BIG TIME!!!!!

If I could - this would reflect as -100! I had an appointment for 12: 40 on 15 Jan 2021 (today). I made the appointment in Vereeniging, because no appointments were avialable nearer to home (we live in Sinoville, Pretoria). We tried phoning them a view times from early this morning - no answer! On entering Vereeniging I tried phoning again to confirm that we had the correct location. This time the phone was answered and the person informed me that due to covid the whole place are locked down. No one contacted us to move our appointment or just to tell us not to bother driving this distance and waisting income. The only answer supplied was Eish, i dont know, i dont know, i dont know... Well eish, this is disrespectful and unprofessional. Please learn some manners and consideration for clients you were supposed to assist.

Very helpful and friendly service. Dont be put off by the queues, they move quickly. If you are not sure where to go, just ask and someone will point you in the right direction. The testing ground is in a good condition as opposed to others I have seen. The examiner explained the instructions to be followed clearly.
