My wife had all her teeth removed on 27 October 2020. The doctor did a good job but the trouble we had with his account afterwards was less satisfying. From the first visit it was clear that his fees far exceed the amounts approved by our medical scheme, which was not communicated to us in advance. Unfortunately one only remove all teeth once in a lifetime and therefore the right thing, we believe, wouldve been for the said service provider to at least inform us of the access amounts that we will have to pay afterwards. Secondly the claim submitted by his office staff was not in accordance with the medical scheme requirements of which one will expect professionals to do it right the first time. Thirdly, upon trying to engage with the lady working with the claims, we were rudely told to submit the corrected claim ourself. Funny enough it took her a few minutes to correct the claim. We had to wait in line at the medical scheme offices to submit the corrected claim only to be told that if the doctors office submitted the corrected claim via the normal route it wouldve be much quicker. Lastly the amount claimed far exceeded the approved amounts by the medical scheme. No discount was even considered and we, as pensioners, had to pay a huge amount out of our own pocket just to settle the account of dr HJ Strydom. Really not what one would expect from the office of such a good dental surgeon.

A humble man that lives the tradition of having the most gracious bedside manners always. No time of day or night is an uncomfortable time for him to take care of those under his care and he has the utmost respect for human life. He is perfect in his field and rarely have comebacks.He is highly recommended. Every patient is his priority and he takes personal care and caution with everyone under his care. I consider myself very blessed to know him his performance and praise God for the good heart that he has.
