This one of the better checkers stores I have come across. It is quite clean and well laid out. It is fairly easy to shop if not too crowded. The convenience of online shopping and delivery is a sure step up. There are days when the fruit & vegetables section is not so well managed, but most of the time it is of very high standard.

Customers are not practicing social distancing properly, they stand too close to you, but overall shelves and products are clean and always stocked

Worst service that Checkers could introduce is the 60 minute delivery service. Not only do their motorcycle drivers have no regard for road traffic rules and users, they own the right of way to fill their trolleys in the store with their orders.It is not a pleasure to shop @ Checkers ArconPark anymore.

I have never seen such incompetence in my life! Managers who cannot explain as to why their pharmacy dispensary isnt demarcated and they make you wait in lines for more than 15min only to tell you when you reach the till that you are in the wrong queue🤬

The shop experience is excellent but the car park is not safe. There must be included security cameras and pay park to eliminate car theft.

Probably the best Checkers Hyper I have ever visited, almost on the level of a Makro in terms of sheer volume and variety of merchandise. Amazing fresh food, meat and bakery departments as well as a pharmacy inside. A truly one stop grocery shop 👌

They do deliveries at checkers just you download the checkers sixty60 app and you order online and your delivery will be at your door steps in less than an hour...Happy with Checkers

Good day I am not happy with Checkers Hyper in Arconpark they advertise oxtail but when you get there they dont have but the shelves is full of other meat as if they did not have any for the day to get service from the butchery they dont give any service. I have previously complained about even the spices on the shelves but it stay the same poor I would even go to Spar to get my groceries even they are further out of my way The management really need to pick up there socks and provide the service that we previously received.PLEASE PICK UP YOUR SOCKS AND GET YOUR STOR UP TO THE STANDARD THAT IT WAS.??????

This shopping Centre has been revamped about 3 years ago. It looks Very nice and they have a large variety of products. Dont go there after 4 in the afternoon or at months end. They dont open enough tills so the queues are winding down the rows. The express queue is a myth. Also, sometimes there is a horrible smell, I think they switch off their fridges sometimes and this run off water then stinks up the place. I once bought rancid oven baked chips and when I returned it the person told me that the fridges are turned off sometimes. The frozen foods then go off.

Checkers serves most of my daily needs. I scarcely drive past the supermarket for other needs.

Not enough tills open... considering the time of year... cashiers and packers extremely slow... wonder if they have funeral policies in place...check average transaction time on till 17 today please...

My only complaint is that there is no help from the security outside to help offload your groc into the car.

So checkers continues to sell plants magazines and toys but a quarter of the baby section is closed because its not considered essential. Reconsider the things you guys see as essential.

Most disgusting customer service from PULENG MOLALE, whom spoke to me with utmost disrespect! I asked her to assist me by getting the new dinner set which was on the top shelf but she told me she will NOT fetch it for me and that I should go fetch a step ladder and take the dinner set for myself. This is truly unacceptable behavior from this woman (especially since there are so many people looking for employment). I took this matter to the manager, instead of getting the problem solved - Puleng Molale lied to the manager and continued to disrespected me in front of him. The manager didnt even try to reprimand her. She continued to disrespect me even when I walked out of the shop.I will never ever go to this shop ever again and I also advise everyone else not to.If you are looking for a shop with good costumer service then the Checkers Hyper in Arcon Park Shopping Centre is not the place to go to.

Since renovations, the hypermarket has become more user friendly. Everything you expect to find in a hypermarket you will find here. And the new design aesthetics are bomb you guys! Just brilliant.

The staff is so rude the tills is fine but the staff when you walk past them they will just walk in front of you of accidently bump into you and wont even say sorry?worst place ever!!

Usually a very nice place to shop but with renovations its been cramped, dusty and noisy. You will literally find dust on the items you buy. Grinding, tiling and painting being done as you walk around the place. It will be worthwhile in the long run, however, not a good experience in the meantime.Things have definitely improved since all the building!

From fresh fruits and veggies to fresh meats and bakes.They provide great variety in every section you can think of .Its very clean and modern.There is an pharmacy aswell that provides great service.The tills do not have to long waiting period. The food they prepare daily looks delicious i have not yet tried them myself tho.

Dont be surprised if someone just turns their back on you and walks away when you ask where the coffee filters are.A good selection of great products and produce. But I would rather buy an overripe banana from a friendly grocer than buy a perfect one from checkers.

Newly upgraded this whole shopping experience has improved. The place looks refreshed and reels good to shop in.

Securitys attitude is *#@&!You are not allowed to walk out with your 3 basket trolley. When you get to the exit they want you to go back and get a big trolley and pack all your groceries over. There is NO signs put up for the pyblic to see that they are not allowed to take the 3 basket trolley out to the carpark. Management need to address this A.S.A.P or else they are going to have a big fight on their hands.

The renovations look wonderful but customer service is dismal. Harness your patience for this one. Some days are better than others though.

Great store with a nice view. Although some of their produce like the deli the cold meat was sour.nd their prices is ridiculous. Was so embarrassed as my guest couldnt enjoy it. Had to make a plan for other food as the store was closed already. Rather buy at president hyper. No better quality and prices even their meat is better in colour and quantity nd price . Dont think will ever make use of checkers again. .

There is enough parking and clean inside. But the staff are very unfriendly. At the tills they dont greet you and keep on talking to each others. They are always out of stock on itens. There fruit and vegetables are in poor state most of time. Or no stock. I am very dissapointed in the overall cliebt service. They need to learn their staff for client service. And keep a record of stock on shelves. Sometimes you get sonethings you need and when i go and buh groceries i alwsys need to go to another store for goods they havent got. Very annoying.

They seem to know that they have a bit of a monopoly here, being the only big supermarket that is close. For that reason the service is very poor and the staff is extremely unfriendly. They have so many tills but even at the busiest time of the day during the busiest time of the month, less than half of their tills are open.You often see managers around who do not appear to be busy with much, but they wont hit the tills when the queues become unbearable for their customers. We are now driving the few extra kilometers to rather do our shopping at Pick n Pay, Spar or President Hyper.Your shop is not in a bad state, but up your service level!Update 29 July 2018: they upgraded the shop so everything looks fancier and more modern. However, service levels are still not up to scratch and, that which caused me to lower my rating on them to one star, they sell items which have either gone passed or is very close to expiry date. Simply put, they are not keeping their shelves updated properly.

The store is being revamped. New shelving, tiles... tbe whole shebang. A much needed and long overdue change.

Very bad service. Employees chatting and strolling around all over the place while a long line formed at the EXPRESS queue where we waited for more than 10 minutes on a Monday morning. I will avoid using that store agian.

The building was revamped recently. You first impression is the ample, neat clearly marked parking area. The entrance to the building is modernized and the old look gone. The inside is a total new layout which make shopping there a pleasant experience. A hardware dept cater for tools, paint etc. A Medi-rite pharmacy cater for all your pharmacy needs. The only issue is there is no place at the pharmacy to sit while you await your turn. (Great news a place to sit for the old and sick people was installed) There is a Wimpy, Pep Stores and Ackermans in the same building. On the premises is a filling statio, also revamped. Give it a try. You wont be sorry.

Wow what a change, for the last 30 years this checkers looked the same and finally they redid it. It looks amazing and the layout actually make sense.
