The seafood isnt so great. The steaks are excellent!!! The place is very affordable. Very great service and everyone is friendly! The vibe is relaxing and chilled especially having the karaoke and band going while you enjoy your food. For desserts the Crème Brûlée and caramel peppermint pudding was average. The tiramisu wasnt great.

Excellent place to dine in at. Place was peacefull and food is divine. Enjoyed the Portuguese Lambshank with potatoe and had Strawberrry Cheesecake.

My friend & I ordered the Lamb shank and Oxtail. This was without a doubt the BEST food we have eaten from a food outlet during our stay here. Both meals were well cooked, well seasoned and very generous portions. From my observation, the restaurant itself is very dated, but if what youre looking for is GREAT food, Villa Verde is the place! I forgot to take a picture of my oxtail😢

Excellent service from friendly staff. They know the menu and able to recommend meals. Pleasant atmosphere. Interesting menu with a large variety of Portuguese dishes including grilled sardines, tripe and Bacalhua. Delicious! And properly made and presented Irish coffee.

My favourite meal are the Steak Cubes with the scrumptious chips. I love the tasty gravy with the bread. Excellent!! Hubby enjoys the Tripe.

It is a good restaurant to have a meal with family and friends. The dishes are abundent and true to the Portuguese culture the restaurant represents.The steak dishes, Villa Verde Rump and Villa Verde Fillet, are very tasty and worthwhile.As far as the deserts go the Portuguese Kisses is a must with the perfect blend of caramel, chocolate and ice-cream!

The bathroom was filthy in my recent visit during the week. Customers at another table Complained about long waiting times for food in which the waiter said the kitchen was busy and some foods take longer on which the customer replied I ordered fish. How long does fish take. Waiter was a bit annoying and food took a bit longer than average. Not sure If I will revisit

Absolutely awesome to visit Villa Verde again after a long Covid-enforced absence! Food quality still impeccable: the prawn curry is outstanding, with the prawns cooked to perfection. My old favourite, the rump steak served in the Portuguese way with chips and salad and a fried egg, was one of the best things Ive eaten this year. Other restaurants come and go, but as long as Villa keeps serving this food, it will remain a Vaal institution.

First time at Villa Verde to celebrate our anniversary.What an absolute DISASTER!Extremely bad service.Wait 50 min for our food.The food was lukewarm, served on cold plates.Lam shank-totally overpriced served with a salad that we order xtra..served on same plate with more onions than anything else!!!Xtra vegetables ordered..served lukewarm..cold plate..Had to send everything back!!! Incompetent staff,including manager!!Just around the corner is Horse and River pub and grill.Go and spend your money there!

Menu selection is excellent but they are missing a few options for seafood dishes for one.Starters are varied but very expensive.Wine selection is also very good but like the starters a little too expensive for the more commonly known wines.Atmosphere is relaxing and service is generally great. We were not in a rush and I got the idea that the kitchen is not inclined to deliver food quickly, however the quality of our meals more than made up for this. We appreciated the comfortable atmosphere and the relaxing pace as opposed to many restaurants that rush the whole dining experience.
