Always enjoy an evening spent at Pukka. The food is always top notch, and the staff are always very helpful, friendly and professional.

We make a point of coming to Pukka every time we visit from the Western Cape. Their curry is amazing and I really dont like hot food. I dont even eat sweet chilli sause, but they have a curry that is not hot at all. That and a naan bread.. devine!

Although the exterior was not the fanciest, the food was mind blowing it was honestly amazing if you looking for some Indian food than damn this place is amazinggggggg

I’m so disappointed, for a R100 curry I got half the size portion of food that I was expecting for the price. The food was spicy but lacking in flavor and in general not enjoyable. Also didn’t receive good service.

Nom Nom Nom I had the lamb roti from Pukka. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE!😍 I asked for hot and that is exactly what I got. Best Ive had OUTSIDE the borders of KZN.🤤 I will go back and try something else before I leave.

Absolutely terrible, the Durban Curry I ordered consisted of more bones than meat which was flooded in a sauce.At our table of six, only one person said that their food was acceptable. (just being decent) Definitely wont l be visiting Pukka Indian Cuisine soon......

The food is great!However there is always some sort of problem with drinks.. The last time we were there they did not even have still water. Cocktails was problem as well.They are fairly expensive, but a nice restaurant to visit.

Although the Pukka Indian restaurant is a little out of the public eye, it is still in a very important business section in the south of Vanderbijlpark. It is a very quiet restaurant most of the time with a pleasant ambience. The food is excellent and well priced. The right place to visit if you want to be away from the bustle and want to enjoy a quiet meal.

I really enjoy the food from Pukka. Every single time I have visited or ordered food from Pukka it has exceeded my expectations, this is coming from a guy who is originally from Durban and knows good Indian food. I was surprised how spicy the hot flavor of curries are, made my nose leak a bit. I, was however not impressed with the bombay crush, tried it on two occasions - it tasted more like strawberry yogurt than rose syrup. I have had the pleasure of meeting both the owner and his wife and both are very friendly individuals. The food is slightly pricey so its more of a once in a month take out meal, but the points reward program on the app offsets this to some extent. The restaurant is neat and clean, kind of dark but I guess thats the vibe they wanted to go for. In terms of service, food does take a little long to be served but I presume this is because every dish is freshly prepared. Staff could do with a little training in terms of waitering and customer service (like answering the phones faster, introducing themselves to patrons and asking if anything else is needed etc.) but it isnt a major concern. Based solely on the food Ive eaten I would recommend this restaurant.

Never a dissapointment

Small portions of food. I ordered their R100+ lamp Korma for take away and it was so tiny and lacked flavor, it tasted like they only put chillies on the meat. Service is also terrible, waiters giving you lots of bad attitude and talking to each other while serving you. I don’t have the desire to sit and eat there, the food was disgusting. Thorough disappointing #Poor

Worst breyani I have ever had. I just bought a lamb breyani at the Pukka sasolburg and it was terrible. No flavor no armor. It was like lamb curry mixed with basmati rice! I am from Durban so i know what a good breyani and bunny taste like. Im so disappointed for spending over 100 on something I wouldnt feed my dog! I will never go back there again!And my fiancé warned me when he had bought a bunny from there. NOT GOOD!!

The atmosphere is very appealing.The service is abit slow.The curries are a hit and miss as the chicken makhani was very sugary whilst the chicken masala was spot on.Portion sizes were okay and the naan and roti was very nice.The biggest disappointment was the Bombay crush.... it was strawberry yogisip with the seeds.
